Supongo que el título incluye a Paraguay porque hace muchos años las cataratas pertenecían a Paraguay. Pero las perdieron (y también la mayoría de la población) en una guerra contra los ejercitos combinados de Brazil, Argentina y Uruguay.

Recomiendo a todo el mundo que vaya a visitarlas tanto del lado argentino, donde casi puedes tocar el agua que cae desde la "garganta del diablo" (el salto más caudaloso) y el lado brasilero espectacular también por su vista.

Unfortunatelly Niagara Falls Is beautiful falls, but man you should open your eyes for the world. Iguassu Falls just lose for South African Water Falls Victoria. Niagara it is in III Place. Iguassu was scenary for many movies you loved like the last Indiana Jones. Besides Iguassu it is in a National Park. Exctally the biggest National Park in South America.

The volume of water in Niagara in the peak season is 202,000 cubic feet per second (5,720 m³/s), while Iguaçu flows 450,000 cubic feet per second (12,750 m³/s) from November to March.

I am Brazilian and its true that the Falls are to 70% on the Argentinian side and 30 % on the Brazilian side!

And for those who think that Itaipu is in "Iguaçu or Iguazu", thats not true its in the river Parana. I was in both places!

And i realy give a s**t, wich country has more part of the Falls. Important is that they are such beautifull and they have to be protected. So please stop this stupid convers.

I went there on my honeymoon. It was amazing. It's like somthing out of Jarassic Park. You look over the edge and you can see rainbows and flocks of birds. It's hot and the spray from the falls comes up and is blown in your face. It's like a film set but it's real. If you did nothing else in your life.........

yea im a pro soccer player and i was playing in argetina and a few of my friends are from iguazu so i stayed at there house and visited the falls, they are huge and we took a boat tour and they dunk u under the waterfall its sick

Probably in origin it was different, I dont't know... I don't say that because I like to argue, but because everyone there (both Brasilian and Argentine) said that, and it's written in books too. I've bought a documentary too that explain the same things.

And I'm half Argentine. I went there last year and I've visited both the sides of the falls. The Brasilian guide too said that the major part of the falls are in the other side. The tour in the Brasilian side is 1.2 km long, the tour in the other side is 6 km long. From your side is easier to watch the falls because they are in front of you. And Itaipù is divided in two parts, and in the middle of the dam there are the flags which mark the border between Brasil and Paraguay.

The major part of the iguazu falls is in Argentina!!! The 80% of those falls are in Argentina, the rest in Brasil! Brasil hydroelectrics are in ITAIPù, that are near Iguazù. And can say that because I've visited both the falls and Itaipù.
