I'm going to have to agree, I only have a couple of songs by Cage and I haven't listened to him for very long but over all the years I have listened to eminem, he is nothing compared to Cage. Yes slim shady, he needs to find one damn name, can rap but Cage has a much more edgy feel and I actually feel emotion when he spits his rhymes. J Dilla is a beast, bless him.

I think you guys are missing what I am saying . There is nothing wrong with further devolving your style . Aesop ,El-P, Lucky Iam PSC they all sound completely different than their early work also but it didn't hurt content . Cage took the Slug approach and dumbed down his music to attract the masses .
I said over the course of a year because all of the guest spots on Wethermen/Jux tracks he did up to Depart From Me were some of his best verses in my opinion .

Cage is a great artist. I just found this song and I think its amazing. I love the evolution in his albums. Each are very deep and personal, but you can tell he deals with more emotion in Depart from Me. Great artist though. I just wish he would do a show in Ireland.
