hey i have a vypyr 15w and i would really like to know how can i save a preset that i made so when i turn on the amp it opens immediatly with the preset that i choosed. i really apreciate help thanks!!!
@nunofrg to save your set just click and hold one of the four preset buttons, until the red light switches off and on again, then you can take your finger off the button
and i recommend you to read your instruction manual on the CD that came with your amp - or just go to the peavey website, you can find it there as well ;)
I'm so glad I stumbled across this amp here. I'm just blown away by all the effects and features. There's no need for effects pedals and the distortions are amazing! I'm trading in my Line 6 next paycheck for this badboy! I'm sold!
Peavey all the way. The Line 6 doesn't get the rich sound you need in music. It has almost a sterile feeling, if you can understand that. Having played both, and owning the Vypyr, I can tell you it definitely has the upper hand.
I'm wanting an amp that can be used in the bedroom at reasonable levels for practicing and recording/tracking guitar parts into Pro Tools, but also one that could be used for gigs in smaller venues (mic'd up of course)
My friend said he would sell me his 30 watt Vypyr and the Sanpera II for a ridiculously low price (there about 2 months old) and my marshall AVT150 head just ain't suitable for bedroom use :( (its also 4 sale)
@jamesallan87 I used it on 2 gigs for now, but the 100 Watt version. in the first one it was Mic'd up, it sounded awesome and did the job perfectly. In the second gig it sounded a bit worse, it wasn't mic'd so I couldn't hear it and the other guitarist was using an ENGL savage, so any solid state amp could sound like shit compared with that beast.
Also, at bedroom volumes it rocks, you can have it at very low volumes and it will still sound great
@jamesallan87 i dont know if i would trade the marshal for that but the amps great and is perfect for any setting that dosent require tubes. theres also tube versions starting at 75 watts and up but honestly for a digital amp this shit sounds amazing and puts the line6 name to shame
@jamesallan87 I'm actually going through a bit of your "crisis" right now. From my experience if you want a "practice" amp that also perfectly viable live, your only two realistic choices are the Vypyr series or the Vox VT series, but personally, I like the Vypyrs way better. It's not that the Voxs sound *bad* to me, they just sound...weird. Tough to explain.
@Tito13theGuitarist im not very technical and stuff but ive done it before. you need one of those cords that have 2 input jacks, plug one end to ur computer and the other end into your amp with an adapter, the adapter needs should have an input jack the size of your standard instrument cable.
@JobForMyValentine Yeah but have you check the sound of new Marshall MGFX 15. Of what I hear in the reviews and sound i hear on youtube. Somehow the sound of Marshall stands out. What do you have to say about the New Marshall MG15FX
@khushalbhadra Peavey all the way man line 6 is way to digital i just orderd my self a Vypyr 30 I did alot a research before i bought it. I cant wait to get it!
I have the Line 6 Spider IV 150w and I'm thinking about taking it back and getting the Peavey Vypyr 100w.. What do you guys think? I have the vypyr 15w and it sounds more distorted than the line 6 does haha, help?
@a7xALLthaWAY do it man the vyper is one of the best amps i have ever played i have the 30w and its got a lot of kick for just a 30 so i say go for it
@ftownskater3 Ahhh I'm still not sure haha... My line 6 is loud and all but it does seem to gives a lot of feedback.. Still not sure on whether I want to take it back or not
Finally got the 30 watt version! This amp is plain awesome! I asked the guy from the guitar store about the freezing issue, he said none of the vypyr amps froze on them so far, plus if you're gonna use it just for practice it wouldn't be such a big problem, you can just reset the power. :)
This is amp is very loud though, volume 1 is enough to wake up your parents. I'm playing through normal headphones and the quality of the sound is as good as playing it without the headphones, in my opinion.
@jscruz27 I've had the 30 for about a year and a half and have never had a freeze-up. It can take 1 - 2 seconds to come back from tuner mode, but that's no major concern.
Should I go for the 30 watt or the 75 watt? I'm mostly play metal and I'm going to use it for home and band practice. Is the 30 watt enough for band practice? Please reply! :D
@CrimzonAE no dude the best one is the 75 watts,30 can do with a drummer but when you get a bass player and the other guitarist itll shut you down plus maybe it can do with 30 but with 75 you can do a pretty big venue.
I'm not sure if I'm going to go with the 75 watt or the 30 watt. I'm mainly going to use it for home-practice and band practice. Is the 30 watt enough for band practice?
im getting one of these on sunday, after watching this video i think i will explode with excitement. every single one of those effects sounds AWESOME!
Yea! the amp is a beast! and with the Footwitch its Superbe! .. but i didnt like the smug little 'British sounding' amp comment .. Dont Say it like were Scum! ( 2:30 ) .. but other than that! It ROCKs!
I have this in 15 watt and it kicks ass! I cant wait to get a cabinet for my crate though.I dont generally like crate except for the blue voodoo but i got a gx140ch and it is this best thing i have ever heard
Wanna get a Vypyr 100 and a guitar between the price of the ESP LTD MH-50 and the Ibanez RG370. Which guitars do you prefer??? It should have 24 frets and a Floyd Rose bridge. Strat shape I like most. Plz help me!!!
I absolutely love ESPs, and I recommend the ESP. However, if you randomly guessed between the two, you will get a great guitar regardless. However the ESP comes with a floyd, and the ibanez comes with an Edge, I think. I vote ESP. PM me if you have questions. The reply may be a little late though, sorry...
I have a low end AX-50 and a EC 400, but I pretty much live at my uncle's house, and he owns like 6 $600 plus ESPs, and I have played all of them a lot. I would take the M-100fm, because the fingerboard is very wide, but the neck itself is small. Very good for metal-shreddiness. I do not have as much experience with Deans in the same price range, but they don't have as much of a solid feel to them, and ESP fingerboard wood is much better. Also, the basswood body is easy on your shoulders.
Hey man nice vid.I just bought one of these and i love it, but im not getting alot of tone out of it. I either get over the top distortion or if i play it on the clean settings, it soun ds almost muted. I have a cheap guitar ( esp ltd viper 50) so maybe that is the problem. Would it help to stick better pickups in it? I was thinking of emgs (81-neck, 85 bridge)?
I am having trouble in deciding wether I should get this amp, or the Line 6 Spider IV 30 watt amp. I tested both of them, and I like em both. Help please!
I think the peavey vypyr is a bit more interesting because of all of the extra functions u get, so im thinking of one myself, biggest reason is the abillity to experiment with lots of different modes, i think, atleast I will learn a lot more then what i can from my current Spider III 15.
Depends. If you want to be a wannabe and use other people's sounds, get the Line6, if you want to spend more time getting your own sounds from the get go, the Vypyr is for you. I play in a band so the Vypyr is more desirable. Line6 is cheaper, right?
In fact vypyr is for metal and rock( a very brutal and powerfull amp, don't be fooled by its size). The line 6 spider is digital and is not brutal at all compared to the peavey
Hey people I am in doubt between this amp (but 75 model) and Roland Cube 80x!What is your opinion, wich one to choose?I play rock and hard rock mostly.
@xrunepk3rzx I own a practice amp from line 6 called micro spider and this amp is just awesome. anywhere I go with it ,other guitarrists cant stop jamming on it and want me to sell em.
@xrunepk3rzx Yeah I went to jam at a friends house and he let me use his Spider, I decided to just go direct with my Behringer Vintage Tube Overdrive Pedal and nothing else if that tells you anything lol.
@xrunepk3rzx I totally agree with you! I've been stuck with a sh*tty Spider 3 15W for a couple years now, I'm sick of it now. I'm upgrading to a Peavey Vypyr 30W this holiday; couldnt be happier :D
i got one of these 15 watt and tbh i find em noisy and muddy and digital sounding imo, not tryed the 30 watt but im not really gonna tbh, i mean look how well set up the speaker is ect... it still sounds thin in a digital/weird way to me and if you look on a 15 watt marshall mg review with a speaker set up properly they sound BIG like a bear or somthin... lol
have the 100 watt ss and its froze up on me 4 times. have had it only 2 months..not impressed with it gonna trade soon..over all i think it sucks..theres way way better out there for the price..

Hey people I am in doubt between this amp (but 75 model) and Roland Cube 80x!What is your opinion, wich one to choose?I play rock and hard rock mostly.
klokan16 2 years ago
klokan16 the roland distortion is sort off fuzzy compared to the vyper, dunnno why
xxfuryshotxx 2 years ago
Vypyr 15 rules, I got one now.
But the Line6 Spider IV is definately the more brutal-one.
Blader999 2 years ago
Spiders sound terrible, very digital sound.
xrunepk3rzx 2 years ago 23
Yeah, but I think its better for metal-dudes.
I never heard any other amp that had so much bit on it, really.
Blader999 2 years ago
*bite I mean
Blader999 2 years ago
Yeah, I have a spider ;(

@xrunepk3rzx I own a practice amp from line 6 called micro spider and this amp is just awesome. anywhere I go with it ,other guitarrists cant stop jamming on it and want me to sell em.
guitar789 1 year ago
@xrunepk3rzx Yeah I went to jam at a friends house and he let me use his Spider, I decided to just go direct with my Behringer Vintage Tube Overdrive Pedal and nothing else if that tells you anything lol.
Whyrendog 1 year ago
@xrunepk3rzx line 6 is way digital, that is the thing i guess.

@xrunepk3rzx I like how only Vypyr fans feel the need to whine about the Spider, but not the other way around.
MrJuico1337 1 year ago
@MrJuico1337 Alot of people complain about the spider, especially the tube users.
KissMeImPunk 1 year ago
@KissMeImPunk I gotta say, having played the Spider IV 75 I was fucking delighted.
Mind you, I'm a fan of clean, sterile guitar sounds.
I suppose it's just personal preference, though.
MrJuico1337 1 year ago
@MrJuico1337 You never played III?
KissMeImPunk 1 year ago
@KissMeImPunk Never.
I can't see it being better than the IV, obviously.
MrJuico1337 1 year ago
@MrJuico1337- Everyone whines about the spider, not just vypyr users, probably because a lot of people think the spiders are trash.

@superlou1s spiders are trash they suck there horrible

I thought the Spiders sounded good, but Vypyr Tube 120 = TONEGASM
ChungatheGreat 1 year ago
@xrunepk3rzx I totally agree with you! I've been stuck with a sh*tty Spider 3 15W for a couple years now, I'm sick of it now. I'm upgrading to a Peavey Vypyr 30W this holiday; couldnt be happier :D

This comment has received too many negative votes show
lies, poor quality, system errors...
whoever wants a looper has to spend hundrends of bucks for this fuckin pedal. Cant even edit the effects. poor cute amp.
Line 6 spider IV 75 watts for the win.
No error´s, widest range of USEFUL stuff on that. Looper onboard. Perfect amp!

this or the behringer lx112 ??
jo7dan118 2 years ago
higher wattage makes a lot of difference, but only really when cranked up loud. Well that's the case with Valve amps,
SirPricelot 2 years ago
Its definately a great practice amp, almost flawless.... just dont try and play it at a gig
nickfleischer 2 years ago
i got one of these 15 watt and tbh i find em noisy and muddy and digital sounding imo, not tryed the 30 watt but im not really gonna tbh, i mean look how well set up the speaker is ect... it still sounds thin in a digital/weird way to me and if you look on a 15 watt marshall mg review with a speaker set up properly they sound BIG like a bear or somthin... lol
kotekotekitty 2 years ago
have the 100 watt ss and its froze up on me 4 times. have had it only 2 months..not impressed with it gonna trade soon..over all i think it sucks..theres way way better out there for the price..
