Watch the NAMM videos with the amp heads plugged into the 4x12's and you'll really get to hear what these things are made of. Yes they may be somewhat expensive but dang under the right settings these things rock!
I have heard and seen the heads paired with a 4x12 cab, and they sound VERY different from what we hear in this video. Do not be misled, this is a bad representation of Marshall product. Bad production, very bad playing. It would turn me off too. How this video was ever deemed worthy of release is beyond me.
So, check it out in person if you can before you render verdict on the sound. Price? That's another topic all together. I'm not going there, but again, the sound LIVE is killer!
i met Nick Bowcott several years ago when he was touring from store to store, supporting Marshall products. he's a great guy, and a lot of fun to have a couple of brews with. don't blame Nick for Marshall's marketing faux-pas. his gig isn't as easy as it appears, but it sure beats hell out of my job... rock on, Nick!
This was about the lamest demo of what this equipment can do. Unfortunately, people will probably purchase this overpriced stuff. They might sound better through a traditional cab in with vintage 30s or greenback speakers. This stuff is for the person that has extra cash to spend on anything and not for the under payed beginning pro gig type of guitarist.
I would be more likely to buy a dead rat from a homeless person.... This has to be one of the worst videos I have seen in a while.... Poor sound, boring people, and UNBELEIVABLY bad guitar playing... “Buy our crappy amp and you will sound like shit!”.... If this is standard of the guitar amp market today, then watch out Marshall and Fender, me and some homeless guy are about to make our millions....
He's using way too much bass on the jtm1

@moroii6969 Or a Fender Blues Jr and a Radial Tonebone or any number of combinations of other nice amps.
Incidentally, is it just me or is this guy kind of a lame guitarist?

This guy did a great demo at '11 Gearfest. My kid and I thought he did the best demo of the weekend.
