Good luck to Wanderlei. Anyone that has been paying attention realizes that out of the 2, Rampage has improved the most since '04. To argue against that, you'd have to be retarded. Wandy lost a little fire ever since his knockout losses to Cro Cop and Hendo awhile back.

I don't see Rampage allowing himself to get trapped in the thai clinch this time around. And if he gets Wandy trapped on the ground, the ref's won't stand it up if he's busy. Wandy better look for an alternative to steroids.

Of course, it is possible that he suffered severe brain trama the last time they fought from all the knees to the face enabling him to remember getting knocked unconscious....

That was years ago. He also ate all those knees in the first fight not second. He will train like a mad man and mark my words will be the two time ufc lhw champion. He still is the #1 lhw in the world.

well... your wrong in every way possible. There first fight was in 2003 where the fight was stopped from multiple knees to the face.... the second fight was at the end of 2004, which RJ got kneed in the face multiple times again only to be knocked out of the ring.... neither fighter has changed significantly in the last 4 years. RJ's boxing has gotten a little better.. thats about it. We will most likely see the same result again.

I think there is no chance we'll see the same results, and Wand HAS changed significantly. Wand is nowhere near the same fighter and thats unfortunate because he was maybe the most feared fighter in the world. I think the advantage goes to Rampage because he is still improving all around and maybe most importantly his conditioning has improved. I like both guys but I think Rampage is the best 205, despite getting robbed in his last fight. May the best man win.

from what i have seen, Wand has been having cage awareness problems probably from fighting in the ring so long. OTT the only difference i have seen in Wand is he's still adjusting to the rules and dynamics of the UFC. Just because you havent seen him throw any knees yet, doesnt mean he has changed...as you saw from Jardine (who didnt get up for like 4 minutes), his stand-up is still insane. The only difference i see in RJ is he is throwing more jabs and applying more boxing skills in the ring.

i know he was robbed against forrest, but we're not talking about Forrest. Both fights Rampage ate a flurry of knees... watch them both again.

and the 3 fights that Wand lost too werent exactly slouches. Chuck won by decision and couldnt put him away.... he lost to Hendo by a hook, which could have gone either way... and he fought out of his weight class when he fought Crocop. Crocop is HW, Wand was a middle in Pride.

Dont watch a highlight, watch the entire fight. RJ ate knees and flurries the entire time. The fight wasnt even at all. Pride didnt score using the 10 point system. Wand would have won by decision if he hadnt knocked him out.

Either way, some fighters styles just dont jive. As good as RJ is, Wanderlei has always had his number. The only thing that may save RJ this fight is not having a 10 minute 1st round. Either way, i am predicting another loss to RJ, but this time it will be by decision.
