PARA-MEDIC: The cobalt blue tarantula is a poisonous spider with a highly potent venom. They typically climb along walls near eye level, though will sometimes be found on the floor. It can first be found in Ponizovje West, and is last found in the Krasnogorje Mountaintop Ruins. It is also surprisingly common in Graniny Gorki and Groznyj Grad.

@jerby2009 well, the cobalt blue is recognized as one of the most beautifull spiders in the world, but she's also knowed as one of the most agressives too. she's a very defensive spider, with signals of aggression and also, she's very fast. good news is that she dosn't have those Urticating Hairs. most expeciallists about spiders, agree that she is a species only recommended for users with some experience with spiders. do you dare get one for yourself? ;-)

I used to have a Mexican Red Kneed female tarantula, she was pretty dosile but she was fast and furious with crickets. She would bite into them and they would just inflate...then she would spend about 20 min or so eating them...epic lol

@HouseForLife6 yes, this species is very aggressive, very hardy and pretty fast. The H.lividum is not a show tarantula. They sit in their intricate burrow about 90% of the time, but when they come out it's usually in fury of threat posture and strikes or they're burrowing more.

I used to catch mine with a red light at night burrowing, The only way I new was hearing the scratching in the side of her enclosure. lol

Keep in mind, not every tarantula is this aggressive.

@Studman2011 Yep, the thing on their butts are called spinnerets, and yes they can flick hairs, only new world tarantulas do this though. The hairs cause itchiness and rashes, very irritating.

What sort of substrate do you have in the spider's enclosure? I had a Cobalt Blue for 6 years and saw it about 4 times as it was always in the burrow it made. It was like owning a pet hole. Apparently yours can't burrow. They are beautiful spiders but have nasty tempers. I have a few others but I can handle them. Great video.

Not really a good beginner spider as they are aggressive. A Chilean rose or say mexican red knee is a good beginner. Just as long as the spider has a big enough enclosure and a place to hide with food and water you should be fine. Google your species for more detailed info. Hope that helps abit.
