Apples and oranges again, both are horror but Saw uses gore and Paranormal Activity uses supernatural events filmed in a lost footage style. I reckon it was harder for me to stare at the "night video segments" in Paranormal than the torture scenes in Saw (except the opening trap for Saw 6).
