@RoseleaxShara hey kid...things happen. i have a scar on my arm from a hot casing my friend shot. and the first time i shot my .243(didnt have any type of recoil pad) i was 12 and i, like this guy, thought i had it firmly against my shoulder but i ddnt. i walked away with a bruised shoulder.

hey guys it is called a scope dummy it is a rubber ring that goes on the end of the scope to keep just this type of thing from happening

When i was 12 and shooting feral boars with my family they thought it was time i shot the 44 mag handgun. We were shooting at an introduced pest fish called european carp and the river was low and the sides were steep. I'm sitting on my asrse with my knees up and the gun between my legs and bang, the kick was so severe that i embedded the hammer in my forehead. Scared the shit outta me, i thought it exploded on me. I'd shot 44 mags before but it was my pig shooting rifle, very different lol

Epic. What a dork. This can happen when cozying up to the Unertyl scope on a Marine M40A1 sniper rifle. MOST people unfamiliar with steel edge 10X scopes and big caliber rifles ASK about the recoil and how much "eye relief" to assume. On the other hand, some don't ask...or aren't told...and this happens.

The problem wasn't your shoulder, it was your eye relief. If you get too close to the scope, the recoil will slam it into your face.
