I remember when parents and kids actually watched stuff together. There aren't too many shows like that now. Of course, this was catered to the Disney kids, but at least it was mildly entertaining enough for parents to watch.
Thank you for posting this! I've been looking for this movie for years, but didn't know the title. I only remembered they're hideout, the motorized skateboard, and that they used a blinking code.
I wonder if anyone ever asks Sean about this movie, he must be sick of Goonies and LOTR comments all the time. If i ever meet him i'm going to give him Kudos for this movie, and ask him if he got to keep that skateboard.
I really do wish I had this movie. DVD would be nice, but any format would be kewl really. Lots of good times of my childhood from the era of this flick. It's a shame it was never re-released. I can't find it ANYWHERE on the net and I've been looking for a LONG time. :(
I used to love this movie. I keep thinking about that motorized skateboard and chocolate grenades. This movie, RAD, and Monster Squad all play a HUGE base of influence in my life.
@Baldenlong77 Yea, the TV recording had Eisner in the beginning with Mickey Minnie Donald and Goofy. Mickey crashed the motocart he was driving. Always loved that intro.
This is a great story very well done and really good the way the kids solve the mystery of the missing equipment on the bass This is one of my favorite shows.
Wow, this was a favorite of me and my Brothers growing up! Aloha shirt open with a t-shirt underneath, jams, walkman and skateboard; I based my 5th & 6th grade wardrobe on Sean Astin's character. LOL. Boy does this take me back! The skateboarding scene to the song Wipeout was even my inspiration to learn the drums! Thanks gollygilbert!!!!!!
I can't believe this movie is on HERE!!! OMG! I use to watch this all the time when I taped off ABC Sunday night movie. Keep in mind that McGeorge was actually the cool guy in the movie The Explorers.
Me too. Disney seems to have trouble relelasing there made for tv movies. I wish we could just send out a petition or something for them to release these movies. Esp. this one. I loved it!
I have Brat Patrol and Mr. Boogedy/Bride of Boogedy on file if anyone wants them. The Brat Patrol copy I have has swedish subtitles but its great either way hah!
Let me know via private message if anyone wants a copy!
