As the days slowly progress she shows signs of dying ( loss of hair, pale colour, and she doesnt have a pulse) then her husband realizes shes dead. It's sort of like faith wanted her to live so that her husband can fall in love with her (b/c at frst he didnt even like her. its a great movie.

I saw this movie because I adore talented James Franco. And yes, he was very impressive. Actually I've seen movies with similat setups before ("Ghost", "Death Becomes Her" etc) but this one was great, sometime funny, sometime very sad, a bit weird but still great. I never liked Sienna Miller and her typical and monotonous acting but she did a good job in this film. David Carradine was brilliant as always. A Must see movie!!!

i will say i didnt like the movie overall but the funniest part was when they were in the diner and sienna miller said "don't be grumpy tiger!" and james franco does this face twirls his head around and pretends to smile then looks angry and says "i'm not grumpy tiger! i'm mad!" that was extremely funny and the best part of the movie i had to rewind like 10 times.

I agree with you tune5k! It for sure was not your average love story. But it sure had it's moments! I just loved the part where there dancing in the rain and he kisses her! So I hope I am not spoiling the story for anyone! I do recommend people seeing it, just don't have too much expectations!

Yeah, the movie is surprisingly good in that heartwarming kind of way. Camille comes off annoying at first (and she is) but you can't help but to love her upbeat attitude and positive energy. I thought the rice rain at the end was too cheesy, though.
