I agree with you. Precisely because the American constitution prescribes not to police the world it is so admirable. If Americans would just stick to it. I doubt anyone in his right mind would deny the fact that attacking Iran would be a complete irrationality, but you do seem to forget all wars the US fights go against their interests, like the Iraq war which has shown the US weaknesses.
