  • It's sad that these are only sold in Japan...

  • hurry up snd invent a gravity chamber =D

  • how i wish japanese phone is offered here. :(

  • Oh great, windows mobile, how advanced, lmao.

  • Japan has a different customer base to the US and other parts of the world. People like different things in their phones .... and a big factor is usually the kawaii (cute) factor as well as services offered on the phone - such as watching tv/movies, internet, imode, phone to phone email, music etc.

  • deng!

  • i like us phones better, there prettier hehe. and technology isnt that much better like i thought it would be. were just like 2-3 months behind like i see here. there same specs as nexus one, actually nexus one has better screen.

  • @boblansy their software is about a 1 to 2 years ahead of us. back during the year 2000, they already had internet connection, face interaction, payment using cell phones, etc. they are far more ahead of us

  • SoftBank is great for having cheap plans (¥999 a month baby!) and pretty decent phones. DoCoMo, however, draws more customers with their awesome variety of cellphones. So, if you want to drool over Japanese cellphones you should check them out. AU is the other top keitai provider.

  • Those saying that these are 4g phones are obviously having a Japanophilic wet dream. All of these models are 3g check the specs in Softbanks website. The Dynapocket x02t's design is quite sexy, but nothing jaw dropping. HTC HD2 has the same resolution, OS and 1GHz processor, but with a bigger screen. I have live tv on my iPhone through wifi and if you have a verizon imagio you get flow tv. WebOS, Iphone OS, and even android make these phones look like their a step behind.

  • I live in Japan and use a Japanese keitai...and I can confidently say that they are generally loads better than their American counterparts...unless you happen to live in an area in America where you can get a 3g connection and have a lot of cash... I am especially fond of the prices. I am on the simplest plan. I pay $9.00 a month to get unlimited calls to anyone else on the SoftBank network (which is just about everyone I know and need to talk too so it works out great for me.)

  • @capricorn83

those are smart phones though, not simple mobiles. And the Japanese have them too.

    What exactly is your point?

  • how are japanese phones better than western ones? i dont get it. ok so you can use them as a credit card and passage for subway? thats it?

  • i think they barely copying the iphone (not even japan had touch screen-only phones when the iphone came out specially that slim) pretty much the only cool thing and "advance tech" from japan was their high speed internet and probably better calling service, but thats it, and yea is true the droid and iphone are perfect size, a little bigger like that 4.1 in one seems too big for my pocket, i would need to wear a bigger size pants. sad that after 2 years noone have passed the iphone which i love

  • I must have seen the wrong video...everyone says the Japanese are light years ahead of everyone with their phones...but I just don't see anything amazing...and I have searched through countless videos...unimpressed

  • I was thinking the same thing... HTC is coming out with a phone using the same 1ghz processor... that other phone was running windows mobile (which everyone knows is TERRIBLE) 6.5 which the US also has... what am I missing here?

  • Its the HTC HD2, its going to T-Mobile by march, it has 1GB or ROM and 512 MB of ram.

  • I think you should watch videos with your mind open if not your eyes open. Did you not see the clear graphics on those video considering that it was recorded on a camera? Japanese phones can watch local television with no lag what so ever same goes with browsing the web. If you don't think that is impressive at all, then you truly are just conceited who thinks highly of oneself and your own country. I have to admit even though I am an American, Japan's technology are far more superior than us.

  • @MajinBoo321 THANK YOU!!!

  • @MajinBoo321 well said...

  • @MajinBoo321 in terms of consumer electronics ;-) not in military sense.

  • its mostly the camera, and ability to watch television, 4g phones, flash, better processor, on phone editing, OLED, face recognition, infrared, HD, flash, all thiese things are standard on japanese phones. we wont have these standards until like 5-7 years later. and in japan they dont like smart phones very much, they like small ones. i mean the japanese phones are amazing, but i love my iphone 3gs.

  • I hope their hands are small, because those touch phones are WAY too big. Unless you're a lady with a purse to store it in, who honestly is going to want that in their pocket (if it could ever fit) ?

  • da cool phone.

  • Got... to... have... that.

  • samsung omnia awesome i want one. sharps too big.

  • INSANELY jealous. I need these phones. Now. -moving to Japan-

  • this and the HD2 are iphone killers...Yes Kill the iphone please.

  • That thing blows the iphone out of the water

  • bean*

  • Inorite, how much win is that!

  • Jelly beat pantsu?!
