  • the 45 single has a better sound I think its on arista ps tony blackburn is the undead

  • the 45 single has a better sound I think its on arista

  • this is ok, i guess. but i really don't think it's a great cover. the syndicate of sound version from 1966 is way better.

  • Maybe the singer isn't lip synching, but notice how the drums keep playing when he gets up and the amps aren't switched on! TOTP used to play the recorded song with the lead track faded out, and the groups would then perform with just a live mic for the vocals.Only a very few acts (David Bowie, John Otway) played totally live on the prog, it was only when shows like The Tube came along that we had bands playing properly on tv

  • a british tv program of the era on which the performers aren't lip synching? I'm scared! :(

  • fun song although the singer comes across as a complete plonker

  • Note one Jimmy Hughes on bass, who went on to join Department S, Cowboys International and Original Mirrors...

  • I've been looking for this for YEARS. Thanks!!!!

  • The 'old song' is of course the one by the legendary Syndicate of Sound

  • sorry im drunk. yeah its a cover of an old song

  • this is either a bad cover or a rip off of a sixties song

  • What year is this?

  • The geek rocks !

  • The girl would probably strangle him by the neck with his own damn scarf Ha ha ha [snickers]

  • what gives you that idea?

  • Great song; these guys couldn't play the complicated 12 string part I see :)

  • @66rules Bearing in mind that these guys evolved from prog rock group Gryphon, there's every possibility that they were playing dumb to fit in with the trend for the brain-dead punk rock sounds of the era (and that's not necessarily a criticism).

A lot of small groups left over from the prog era found it increasingly difficult to secure bookings on the gig circuit in the UK after punk broke, and their only alternative was to hide their virtuosity and fit in with the times.

  • b side was the aptly titled "you make me sick".

  • LIL GAL GONNA GIT FUCKED

  • I have been looking for this for ages didnt realise it was on here.

  • The lead singer/drummer looks a little like Sean Penn. Does anyone agree?

  • SpookySpade666

Animal from the 'The Muppets' with a haircut!

  • Sean Penn's brother has made a lot CDS

  • The notes (About This Video) contain some very disturbing information. They've reformed! Pete Fresh must be 91 by now. Is wee Jimmy H still wearing the makeup? Only kidding of course. I look forward to the first gig. I hope Shake Some Action is still in the set.

  • That girl looks overjoyed to be in close proximity to Timmy Bannockburn.

    Great song though

  • Excellent! Thanks for posting this. Never seen it in full before. Do you have the full show by any chance?
