  • ウレタンボウル時代に、これだけ切れのある投球する、両者は共にすごい!!

  • Vespi chops 3 off the left and then crosses over to BARELY spare and pumps his fist...lol

  • I have this whole show on VHS. If you think this is ugly watch Mark Bowers who had one of the ugliest pro games in history and misses a 5 pin by a mile. Chris Warren was horrible and so was Philip Rigener. One of the most brutal lane conditions at one of the toughest houses ever in a time in period in my opinion on the PBA tour had some of the worst pro bowlers in the early 90's.

  • Bo laughing at Vespi @ 6:18. I love it. Way to stick the knife in Vespi's back and give it a few twists :)

  • Believe it or not, I've seen somebody chop out the 4-7-8 combo before. It was a left hander who sent it out to the out-of-bounds zone. This was Joe Salvemini in 1988 in Tucson where he lost to the eventual champ, Pete McCordic.

  • You have that telecast?

  • It was broadcast on ESPN classic not long ago. My DVR recorded it.

  • You gonna post it?

  • Vespi was awesome.

  • Unbelievable.

  • "Wow! This match is out of control." LOL

  • What the heck was Vespi doing on his shot at the 4-10?

  • Most likely trying to bounce the 10 out, but at the time he was one of the worst spare shooters on tour.

  • Bounce the 10 into the 4? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me!

Obviously one of the worst shots at a split I've ever seen...lol!

  • I have no idea, either. lol

Maybe it was a test shot to take the Monacelli approach to 59-60 when they got nasty... hard and straight at the 1-3.

Or, it was perhaps one of the most horrendous brain farts in the PBA's televised history. I just don't know, but I suspect the latter. lol

  • Oh yeah, that was the major adjustment that Amleto made when won there in '88, and probably the most direct shot you'll ever see Amleto play.

  • Right. He threw a 160-something in his first game, won by 10 and just started chucking it at the pocket and beat Mark Williams and Mark Roth. Would love to see that sometime. :)

  • Me too. I used to have a tape of it, but I think we taped over it though. :( So it only lasted a few weeks...lol!

  • By the way, in that first match, he defeated a guy by the name of Gip Lentine (kind of an odd name, that's why I mentioned it...lol)! Gip had 3 opens in that match.

  • Gip Lentine became the lane maintenance supervisor for the LPBT in 1990. I think he held that post for a few years.

  • Yes he did. Denny mentioned it on an LPBT telecast. I'm hoping someone will eventually post the '88 Showboat Invitational. I'd LOVE to see it again. :)

  • c001

  • Well, the first few frames were actually very good. :P
