I am (Unonados) I got the idea or picture in my mind when viewing this video, of sheets of paper with a cartoon character on each page, say there are one hundred pages of this cartoon character in different positions on each page in different positions of say "walking". "Tense a piece of wood, tie it with string, fix it to another piece and make so-and-so trigger mechanism" - that is more specific advice, for building a working crossbow.
