@ZENON676 With the default control set all you have to do is gain momentum towards your rival and flick the right stick towards them which should help you to check.

@ournationsanswer the relocation option would be cool, but they haven't even put that back into the current-gen Madden games yet. i wanna see more goalie masks and better arenas. some arenas are good (Air Canada Centre), but some look nothing like their real-life counterpart (Philips Arena looks completely different). I would be nice if EA actually used put a proper presentation to the games too, NHL 2000 and the 2k ESPN hockey games had far better presentations then NHL 09/10

Awesome game. I'm just getting back into hockey...and man, I played the NHL 10 Demo, and had to go buy this game the same day. No lie. It's amazing, and SO much fun.

I love the 'Create A Team' mode aswell. I, to the best of my ability, given the games limited resources, created the Baltimore Bandits. They where an AHL team from the mid 90's that I used to go watch as a kid. They only played 2 seasons...but watching them and the Skipjacks before them, made me love hockey. TBC

I agree, i really think NHL 10 is an amazing NHL Hockey game.

I turned the Atlanta Thrashers into the "Hamilton Tigers" and started a GM mode with them. NHL 10 is great fun.

With that being said, I've always loved hockey being from the land of the mitten (Michigan) Go Wings!

That's cool, and yeah the game is a blast. Last night I created a fantasy Baltimore NHL team. Even though it'll never happen...the Baltimore Barracudas are here. lol Caps first game after the Olympics is tonight, so that should be fun.

i find that with the fighting however there is too little vibration so you don't feel like your making much impact with the punches plus its less realistic, still, it is the best fighting system ever made in a hockey game anyway.

I want to know if NHL 10 is worth the money. For me I'd love good gameplay and AI intelligence more than the best graphics in the world, and EA seems to always have amazing graphics, but gameplay has bugs everywhere and the worst AI.

I'm a major Hockey fan and love to play it, but EA seems to try just too hard on simply things and mess it up. NHL 2004 was it for, I would not buy another NHL game, but I gave them a chance and bought NHL 09 and I'll give them credit, they have gotten better.

Because if you play it harder than casual its great realistic and exiting and A.I is great or thats what I think When you play it in tight situation you feel the adrenaline.

And that's one of my main beefs with this game. You simply don't get rewarded for making the right plays or creating real scoring chances. You work hard, you make creative plays, and what happens? A random shot from the point hits someones ass, rolls to the crease, hits your defenseman's skate and goes in. Frustrating at times.

Because my love for hockey surpasses all things in life. The first video game I bought was Ice Hockey on NES for cryin' out loud. That's the beauty of video games... we're all different.

This game is awsome well the Demo i havent get te game yet...

But theres 2 problems...

1. Youl never get to fight againts superstars

i think the penalty system biggest flaw is physic..i mean how many time in a game u trip someone by going trough the net and the goalie while he is not moving?

I agree right here, but it's a double edged sword. How do you teach the gamer to be disciplined and avoid ALWAYS poke checking or stick lifting? In '09 the stick lift was too easy to pull off without being penalized. We all watch hockey and we know that there just aren't THAT many clean stick lift turnovers.

The tripping though needs to be looked at. It's as if every time I try to make a clean poke check someone falls. Also, when there a loose puck in the crease and I can't quite reach it, I choose to poke check it in at times. Problem is 90% of the time a defenseman falls and I get called.
