Hey Shepard, i've been doing some Bathycite farming (I hate that stuff you need so much of it for bowguns) and i was messing around with the torch on ludroths.

It appears that it's an alternative version of a dung bomb, because the ludroths started to burrow underground and run away.

I can't say 100% but im pretty sure of it.

Hey Shepard! I just bought myself a copy of MHP3rd a couple hours ago and (Im ok if more people answer this as well) I thought to myself after playing MHFU to get pumped for it: "In MHP3rd, Is there an online/offline Guild Hall? And if so, are the OFFLINE Guild Hall monsters tougher than the Villiage?".

I wonder this because I dont own a PS3 for help so I guess im gunna have to buy my friend a copy and play with him localy -_-

@Zetsuuga yes the guild hall works like mhfu in that there is an online/offline guild hall and the difficulties for them are equal but they are much harder than the village equivalent of the monster as they are tuned for 4 hunters( by harder i mean more health mostly) but they can all be soloable.

@SocialDissonance Hey social :) I was wandering.. Does sharpness affect the total damage on a weapon? Like for example in monster hunter tri the Alatreaon Gleam has 414 damage and 450 drag, and then you have the Amphitrite (P) which has 414 damage and 440 thnd. So apart from the minor difference between the attributes the only difference is the sharpness. So i was wandering if that made a difference?

@LuxrayDude Sharpness is everything when it comes to damage. The scale works like this:

Red=50% of your raw

Orange=75%

Yellow=100%

Green=10%

Blue=120%

White=132%

Purple=150%

Other factors also apply to damage, but sharpness is very crucial.

All weapons require careful play for successful party sessions. It just happens that LS tends to be the most intrusive. Also, both Monster Hunter Tri G and MH4 are going to be for the 3DS apparently

As far as the MonHun story goes, I think of it as our world in the distant future. Basically just because of the high tech bowguns like the Aquamatic Longshot or Needler.

Metroid is fairly straightforward, the only thing that breaks off kind of is the Prime games, which is supposedly not canon, which is a shame, because it fits in there nicely and has a much nicer story line than that last game that was released.

Shephard, the point you made about taking the Wii quality textures is what I think too. When I play Portable 3rd HD I still don't enjoy the graphics as much as the Wii game because the effects and textures, in places, were clearly made for the PSP and can't be upscaled easily. If they took certain things from the Wii game such as the higher poly monsters and some of the higher poly/texture armors, Portable 3rd HD could look really nice.
