All, the last throes of a bygone era. Watching this match you can see how much slower the game has become in the past six or seven years. The ball is absolutely rocketing off the court.

They may hit it better but they have a lot more time; surfaces are much slower and anyone who believes otherwise is "objectively" ignorant of how tennis was deliberately slowed down to encourage longer rallies and to make the serve less dominant. Wimbledon pre-2001 was much faster than today and while it may be "objectively" true that players are better the game is NOT played at as fast a pace. Just watch these highlights: you won't find a court this fast today.

Speaking of taking the ball early...Agassi nearly half-volleys every ball. He never seems to get more than 3 feet behind the baseline.

yes, federer played ok (as for his 2004-2007 standards...) but agassi committed way too many unforced errors. dunno if he was exhausted after the hardest tournament in the tour or he wanted to defeat roger by playing super high risk tennis.
