  • You unfortunately can't do that activity on the beaches on the east coast since the sands are too soft. I tried it earlier this year and I just sank in even on the most solid feeling portion near the high tide mark. I thought about modifying a skate board with sand or balloon wheels to get around this problem. We'll see what happens. Cool video.

  • We don't have that kind of sand on the east coast so I can't do that activity. I tried it and I just sunk in even on the sand that felt most solid between the high tide line. I was hoping to modify a scate board with sand wheels and see what happens. I'm limited to parking lots really.

  • does it work on tarmac and stuff?

  • cool, how much wind was it during that session

what size sail were u using.

  • wow you know i have always wanted to do that on my local beach i just dont have time to find a board for land . have you ever really fallen ?and is there only a front strap nice video i like the overhead shot

  • Streetsailor, I saw you ride the board with one foot in front fo the mast, is that your normal riding position?

  • Negative. My forward foot usually stays in the foot strap just behind the mast unless I'm tacking/jibing. I'm not that advanced where I can jump around the front of the mast. Keep sailing!

  • how did u make the board? how can u make it?

  • not advanced? i thoughts that how your supposed to take or gybe i didn't know you could stay in the back... life just got a lot easier
