  • Love this track so much. Would have liked to see some more Viscous in this video. It gives the feel of being quickly assembled, but it's OK.

  • I could give a damn if any fan recall my legacy im trying to live my life in the light of god's memory

  • Cool. Im feeling this.

  • we take the black star line right on home

  • great vid, and even greater choice of music.

  • basically meaning one's word is one's bond, meaning they can be trusted to be honest when one says something. Ex: "that dude that lives on your block got robbed?" "word is bond."

  • shows how much you people know about the streets, the sentence wasn't created from hip hop you fools, its fucking slang.

  • word is bond was used since fucking forever, there is no originator.

  • yo are you guys talking about the line "word is bone" ? cause if so that was used on illmatic wich droped before black star

  • ummm.... didnt the black star album drop 3 or 4 years before stillmatic? how would they get this off nas lol

  • oh really my bad

    thanks

now i know where nas bitted off that rhyme from

but yo r u sure this song was released before stillmatic

  • i just googled it to make sure of it... and yeah, black star dropped a while before stillmatic... i still think nas is tight though, i just think def and talib are a few notches above him lyrically

  • maybe

nas is really good lyrically but he is obviously not the best lyrical emcee but one of the best for sure

  • i think it's cool that both of you reacted to each other in a mature way. if this was another artist or group's video then i'm sure someone would have dropped some profanity. i seriously believe that this genre of music affects its listeners,

  • .... okaay

    word is bond

  • actually yo

black star wasnt the first to say it

they got it off a book from 1976 called something i cant remember

they also did a broadway musical called Yours Arms Too Short To Box With God

  • Wow cowboy bebop couldnt be more appropriate for this song sepecially the episodes

  • somthing u can die in peace to...

  • based on the views and the ammount of comments this is in my opinion the best underappreciated video on youtube, great episode choice and this song is lyrical poetry. I love cowboy bebop, mos def, and talib kweli, all in one video is just genius. 5 stars and im subscribing to your channel keep up the good work.

  • Blackstar's music makes up for all the generic bull shit that's played on the radio today. May Talib and Mos be able to rhyme forever.

  • What you said is the truth. This Lil'Wezzy BS is nothing but wasting electricty and air time.

  • Nice song with anime

  • What an amazing song. It's a profound expression of emotions, experiences, and observations using thoughtful and original lyrics through the medium of "hip hop". How this relates to cowboy bepop other than having the title theives in the night is a difficult stretch. No matter, the quality is better than the only other video on youtube featuring this song.

  • thanks, I had already heard this song but i forgot who is was by.

  • Whats that song in the beginning?

    sounds nice.

  • "couldnt get far" by The Game

  • actually the song is by dolla jills and f-5 same name though wouldn't get far just with a differnet artist

  • guess i was juss payin attention to the beat

  • i like this one...the song choice was cool fits pretty well with cowboy bebop...keep doing your tang bro! you`ll diffinitely get better.

  • thanks man this was more of a voice sink video than an action vid
