  • Azteca was a cool Chicano Band hailing from my Hometown Oakland Califaz . i met Pete escovedo once very nice man . but i still cruise Oakland Bumping these old school Jam . the Bay Area was home to many old school Chicano Latin Rock bands in the 60s and 70s.

  • this reminds me of the good ol days me and my carnalas growing up in colton califas.

  • ラテン・ロックにいっそう火をつけた、アズテカのキラーチューン、"LOVE NOT THEN"~サンタナも惚れたコーク・エスコヴィードの小粋サウンド

  • I haven't listened to this song in very many years but when I heard it now, I remembered every line. Jessica and I were young and just starting out... a lot of argueing and a lot of making up. This song remindes me of the making up part. We have been together over 40 years now. This song brings back the old romantic feelings we had and still have.

  • Very pretty! Thanks for the share and for exposing me to this wonderful group!

  • 1972 what a classic year! A lot of one hit wonders, but this song is classic even after during my time in 1972!

  • Oh, what a treasure this song is. I knew Flip back in the sixties when he was living in Silverlake.

  • I've been searching for this track for a while. I guess I was searching in all the wrong places. thanks for sharing.

  • @dlesh You're Welcome!!!

  • Thanks Musicminor 25, my Uncle Flip Nunez was one of the Keyboard Players and wrote two songs on this album. He was so very talented and one cool cat. He had a very Tony Bennet sound but could flat out sing and play anything, especially Jazz. Thanks for the memories and something I can show my kids and friends. Warmes Regards, Eric R. Nunez

  • @enunez193 You're Welcome Eric!!! Your uncle was a great musician!!!

You should be very proud of him!! Azteca is one of my favorite bands of all time!!!

    RIP-Flip Nunez

  • BAD ASS JAM! WILL ALWAYS JAM THIS SONG!

  • Thank you very much for this. Could not find this anywhere as all of my albums went up in a house fire in 2002. Flip Nunez and Wendy Haaz and the rest were a great, under appreciated band that had good players and good writers. Thanks again.

  • Wendy Haas kills on this- a Flip Nunez tune-

  • this great music thank you existed and still lives on YT

  • Great upload.

Wendy Haas has some vocals on this album. She was with Michael Shrieve, the sensitive drummer of Santana, for a time. There's a thank you to Michael on the inside album cover, for his great drums. Yeh, I concur. BTW, Santana was at Woodstock, and the 40th anniversary is coming up on August 15, 16, & 17. Michael was the youngest musician there, and performed his incredible drum solo.

    Thanks mm25 for posting this.

  • Thank you for the memories of those sunny California days, cool L.A. nights, and some great music. Viva la musica!
