@pjtorresjr Not only that, but to my opinion it's not plain half naked: there is a story behind it that probably everyone will understand. Gillian kind of like resembles the 'slut' and mainly tries to convince the other dancers that they don't mean anything, and men are interested in her, not the other girls, until they show what they have in store, and show their sexy side.

I came here to watch traditional river dance -_-, it's a respectful and beautiful creation .. I dont like how they had to put half naked woman in it in order to get attention.. all those people who came there didnt know they were gonna see half naked woman yet they still came.. this is really disrespectful to the original creation. Riverdance is a show that Micheal Flatley came up with that glorified this gorgeous sport- I've been Irish Dancing for over ten years and those outfits are nothing, and if the audience is going to see the show then they obviously know what it entails

Does anyone think Irish dancing is today what is was when it first started? It has evolved with talent and dedication. The egotist Flatley, made changes to the dancing that appeals to a wider audience, beyond the Irish themselves. Irish dancing has benifitted through the greater exposure.

That said these women would have been just as gorgeous with their traditional looking clothing on, as they were in the underwear they finished in. Leave a little bit to the imagination. ;-)

I agree with you somewhat. I believe he has sexed it up a little too much, but not here. This was part of the plot. It was to tell off the Temptress Morrighan (in the red), who is basically trying to take over being leader of the ladies because she thinks that they can't be sexy.(or at least that is what I saw it as.) Saoirse (In yellow) and her company show her she is VERY wrong to assume this by stripping down to sports bra's and biker shorts.
