If the voltage is lower, they will consume less power and generate less heat. :) To some users, power consumption is just as important as performance.....even if the saving is just a few watts.

Hey. These kits are rated 1.65v. You should be able to undervolt them to ~1.60v at stock speeds and timings and maybe as low as 1.50v if you slacken off the timings to 9-9-9 at DDR3-1333 speeds
