  • not as good as matty bowens highlights, but i wouldn't mind seeing him and benji together.

  • @tumbipanther that would be awesome

  • this was the best in 2005 followed by the grand final flickpass try which is 2nd in my opinion

  • this is fucken mean

  • Commentator: "even the shark fans are applauding!"

    Someone in the distance: "booo!!!''

  • Pass

  • To good

  • imagine a team with Hayne at FB Mashall at 5/8 and Quade Cooper at HB... That would be one epic fucking entertaining team to watch!

  • lol look at sharks number 12 , he plays NRL and puts that effort . what a mo fudger

  • You would think that the NRL coaches would be scouting NZ touch players because there are plenty of talent just like that here in NZ that dont really bother taking the time to use their skill professionally

  • he is showcasing all the touch skills. no look passes. flick passes. epic steping from side to side. super playerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • @GuerillaGanja haha good one. not even Sonny Bill isn't even enough.

  • @GuerillaGanja why?

  • sick

  • BENJI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ****ing magic

  • Defiantly one of the best tries of all time!

  • benji would OWN the WHOLE of australia if they had the guts to go up against him hah...

  • fuck he's the man

  • Hayne and Marshall pretty similar in my opinion - both freakishly talented players but can go missing at times esp. Hayne. Lockyer shits on them both - you can back your house on Lockyer getting your team home - can't say the same about the other 2.

  • another over rated kiwi

  • @biggsy78 haha over rated? realise it's australians talking him up... find me someone better than him and i'll be amazed buddy.

  • @NZDubstep you don't watch the NRL then do you buddy, to many to mention and there all Australian.

    Billy slater to start

  • @biggsy78 you come onto a benji marshall video to write negative comments about him? haha we dont wanna hear it fucker, get a life.

  • @BeauMac01 l left a comment , and he is over rated. so fuck off idiot, and harden up you weak prick...

  • @biggsy78 hahha if you dont like him why would you come onto a video about him and write negative shit. your just trying to act big over the internet to make up for your real life insecurities you pathetic fuck, go back to masturbating over your mums undies.

  • Can't really compare because they play different positions

  • benji marshall is way better then jarryd hayne

  • Gosh I love benji marshal

  • Unfreakinbelievable

  • youtube should have an applaud button.

  • Comment removed

  • Ronaldinho, the Benji Marshall of football/soccer.

  • @1to3456 you dont compare any aspect of football to rugby, its incorrect.

  • Geez Peach missed him bad....

  • IF U GUYS LOVE BENJI check out his biggest fan he is 6 years old wears number 6 in under 6's and practices to be like benji he top scored in his team in 2010 and i have uploaded them check him out THE BENJI KID PRODIGY

  • mean!!

  • na your gay

  • Now thats fucking top class steping

  • Benji!! The king

  • the 3 people who disliked this video are the 3 people who now have their ankles broken from benji's step!

  • jarryd hayne int even good

  • NOw thats NRL magic.

  • the "carlos spencer" for rugby league...the man

  • Lol @ Union wanks, no league playmaker is going to want to play kickby, why step down to that level?

  • League n union r both great games!!! Personally I like playing league bcoz u get more rest!! N I like union bcoz as soon as the ref yells ruck, than hu evers on the ground well u just ruck the shit out of them!! Come on ur not meant to be fighting which rugby is better!! Pick on gayFL!!! Now that game sucks!!!

  • @neilnaaron couldnt have said it better myself mate

  • @neilnaaron true that my friend :P

  • cool

  • Did you know NRL players like for Benji Marshall inspires many youths around the world to encourage them to be part of this sport and maybe someday be as great as young Benji. Even though Benji Marshall have won the NRL World trophy in 2008 making him a world class player. There are very few and rare players in both Rugby league and union play as good as Benji Marshall.

  • all I see union players doing is GROUP SEX IN TE RUCK no skills whatsoo ever

  • @BigR000 a gay man WOULD see it like that. see what you want to see. rugby union is more popular than RL world wide.

  • benji marshall is toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo gooooooooddd i love how he plays rugby!!!!!!!!

  • I'm from Ireland and unfortunately i've only heard of this guy recently which is unfortunate because he's an unbelievable talent. He should switch to Union so he can perform on a world stage not just a few thousand on a sunday afternoon in Cronulla. Such a shame he wont be at RWC 2011

  • I'm from Ireland and I've only heard of this guy recently. Its unfortunate because he is magic. He should switch to union to perform on the world stage not just on a sunday afternoon in front of a few thousand. Its a shame he wont be in RWC 2011

  • @djely9 no room for him in the All Blacks mate. No offence to his talent but the AB's should cope well without him

  • @PerfectRoast yeah theyre doing might well if success was gauged by how big of a choke you can pulloff.

  • union has much better defense... and also, watch kurtley beale, he's got much better footwork than benji...

  • @hidesnuki unions defense only looks better because the players only have to line up at the back of the ruck, where as attacking teams in league have 10 metres to move the ball round and set plays up. kurtley beales footwork is good, but benji's is superb, when he decideds to step you won't touch him

  • i wonder what the South African commentators were saying

  • hay u shuld check out ''Nrl Bulldogs U20's Eddie Tautali rugby tries...UNSTOPPABLE''...mean as rugby clip especially the last try on it..

  • Jarryd Hayne just thinks he is good! Benji is so much more talented

  • Benji Marshall is a god, but why is Cronulla's 12 jogging when he might have made the line-saving tackle at 0:05 ?

  • I can step like that.

    I think.... wait

    i just tried it....

    yee i cant.

  • sharks no 12....no effort whatsoever....

  • Thumbs up if Benji Marshall is better then Jarryd Hayne?

  • @Oscar6851 Fuck off he's better than Hayne. Benji is an awesome player but alot of the shit he tries doesnt come off and his defence is shit. Hayne is a much more reliable player and is much more essential to a team than what Benji is. Benji is rocks or diamonds whereas Hayne is 90% diamonds

  • @WINSLOVE1 This is a ridiculous comment. To say that a 1st and/or 2nd receiver is less important to a team than a fullback is laughable. Get a clue.

And yes he is better than hayne.

  • @rhcp31 Pfft the modern-day rugby league fullback is almost like a 3rd playmaker nowadays. I still agree with the statement I made about Hayne being more essential to the team than what Benji is. Hayne plays as the 1st reciever for Parramatta even though he's a fullback and he's the one with the most try assists. Parra doesnt have any quality halves or hookers like tigers have Farrah. So yeah Hayne is more essential to the team coz without him who else does Parra have?

  • @WINSLOVE1 Aw yeah but nah but yeah but nah.

I think if Parra just swallowed their pride and put Tori Sardi back at Five-Eighth everything would just flow better and allow Hayne to hang back more for a few plays.

  • @WINSLOVE1 Lol Hayne's team wasn't even in the top 8 last year

Most of the time you see Hayne he's about 40 meters behind his team's line

When does he perform? Very rarely.

When was the last time he performed? About 2009, I'd say.

  • @johmedis The tigers have made the top 8 once in the past 5 years with benji whereas parra have been in the top 8 3 of the past 5 years. Your logic makes no sense. Rarely performs? He still managed to get Parra's player of the year last year and anybody who actually has a clue about league would realise that he is one of the best players in the world, as is benji. He plays at fullback and still managed to get 5 times the amount of try assists than our halves combined.

  • @WINSLOVE1 Sounds great except when you remember that Parra hasn't one anything with Hayne but the Tigers have with Benji.

  • @Oscar6851 Benji is heaps better than Hayne he is the best in the whole footy

  • @Oscar6851 Benji Marshall is a different quality of a player, he plays number 6 which is a playmaker which means it is his job, and Jarryd Hayne is a fullback which is suppose to be at the back of the pack of the team, but yet again he has alot of trys and try assists and is a dally M medalist. thanks :)

  • @Oscar6851 222 votes up

  • @Oscar6851 that is just easy to decide

  • @Jake1thejumpstep rugby union gives away too many penalties in the scrum and the ruck

  • it would be awsome to see than all get a go in state of origin

  • Origin fails nowadays.

    It's so pussy.

Normal NRL games are tougher than them.

    Massive let down.

  • if kiwis were alowed to play origin it would be awsome, this guy would play for queensland when lockyer retires, and vatuvei could replace folou on the wing lol i wish lol

  • @xXsantino07Xx It wouldnt be origin.

  • @A5ianG4nGsTa why not? alot of these kiwis were actualy raised in australia and played junior rep footy for australia/nsw/qld

  • @xXsantino07Xx z Yeah, but the rule is that if you play for Nz, you cant play origin. It happened to ben teo, he had to decide to be up for 18th man for QLD

  • @A5ianG4nGsTa well it seems unfair to me, if your raised in that state you should be able to play for them regardless, some of these players were actualy born in australia but play for n.z for their parents coz their parents are kiwis.

  • League players can play any game...

  • this vid sums up rugby league, fuckin awesome

  • We Came here to watch Benji Marshall.

not argue about Union and League.

    lol enjoy the video !!

  • @ WheelEyeEmm haha youre awesome mate.what an awesome comment.so witty

  • 2005.....The only year i saw sharks play well.

except last night when they beat parramatta!

which is very sad.I go for parramatta.

  • @tomhighton Are you still here? Youre boring me like rugby onion now. Just go and check how much time the ball is actually in play in both codes-much more in league. Anyway I need to get some sleep now so i think ill put some Guinness Premiership on to help me.

  • would everyone stop argueing about league and union, they both require the same amount of fitness on average, and they both have they're bad sides and good sides

but really it's a matter of opinion so everyone shut up!!

  • @Pepsimaximo1 agreed!

  • how can you not like this ? thats pure skill.

  • benji you beauty!

  • On the biggest change after returning to the Union code- It's the first time I've been cold for seven years. I was never cold playing rugby league. Jonathan Davis

A Question of Sport BBC TV (1995)

  • @kaleljimmy he must have been playing rugby league on the sun

  • @tomhigton Are you still here? Youre boring me like rugby onion now. Just go and check how much time the ball is actually in play in both codes-much more in league. Anyway I need to get some sleep now so i think ill put some Guinness Premiership on to help me.

  • brilliance from a brilliant footballer

  • this reminds me of jarryd hayne's try against st george illawara last year

  • omg 1 step BENJI MARSHAL lol

  • amazing

  • and thats how they won the 2005 comp

  • I've played both & they're two different kinds of fitness games. Aerobic in rugby & anaerobic in league. For forwards you need way more stamina & strength in rugby cos you're always on the move & and at the breaks you need all your strength in a scrum or to lift in a lineout. In league is explosive power & you can have a breather on defence or in the scrum. But I still prefer League. Chasing kicks in rugby fkng sucks

  • quality try, you dont see that in union

  • @kaleljimmy because union players can tackle

  • @tomhigton HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA you must be a comedian. My Gran tackles better than Union players and she is dead! Bunch of fat overweight skill-less gays. Kiack clap kick clap kick clap. Roll around a bit, waste about ten minutes of a game recorrecting scrums then kick clap, forward pass knock on kick clap. You are fuckin deluded man.

  • @kaleljimmy and rugby league is better? hit it up 4 times and kick on fifth. you never know what's going to happen, exciting stuff. More to the point is there anything more gay than a rugby league scrum? I think not. As for being overweight, well props do carry a bit of fat but they are exponentially fitter and stronger than you're average 130kg man or league player.

  • @tomhigton ha you are so deluded its unreal. fitness better in union dont make me laugh. thats why gareth thomas who recently switched to league said himself the league guys are much fitter. oh and he got knocked out in his first game i think his first run! union players spend half their time standing around, league you have to get up an get back ten every tackle.

I watched a recent union international and not one try was scored, the game was won on kicks, thats not rugby.

  • @kaleljimmy do you have a reply on the gayness of rugby league scrums? and the boring repetitive nature of the game?

  • @tomhigton yes i do. they are very quick making it so they get on with the game playing rugby rather than falling over in a big pile on forcing the referee to restart it a dozen times. eventually they will probably get erased from the game. and i think the kettle is calling the pot black there, the way the ball is repeatedly kicked back and forth in rugby onion gets more than a tad repetitive, dont ya think?

  • @kaleljimmy league is great and all (go the west tigers) but you don't hav to dog on union there both great sports and internationally known so SHUT UP AND STOP CRYING LYK A LITTLE BITCH AND THAT GOES 4 ALL YOU WINEN FAGZ

  • @devananthonycrompton lol it went little caps: nice, caps lock: not nice lol

  • @devananthonycrompton GO THE TIGERZ, SMASH EELS

  • what rugby union, does any1 still watch that boring kick fest of a game, when in doubt run out

  • benji magic

  • 1:15 looking the other way when he passes- even the camara man got confused lol

  • I could watch this on loop over and over

  • benji is 2 good

  • benji the man

  • We shouldnt be fighting between union and league, we should be fighting the pussiest game of them all American Football lol

  • AFL is worse

  • Haha i dont know, at least they dont wear pads

  • @Tawhguy no AFL is the gayest for sure.

  • Check out my Benji Marshall Highlight vid its got most of his flick passes.

  • rugby union you have to follow the ball as a forward where ever it goes,

League you just stay in the line, 1 or 2 hit ups, a dummy run then rest and recover until its time for def, which is much easier to do for big forwards (140kg myself)

  • that's stupid..why could any sport allow players have time for defending......that's not sport

  • ive playd both union nd league nd u need 2 b fitter in union but league is a lot bigger hits nd harder tackles as the big men get run ups in league whereas in union they dnt

  • LOL ur dumb. u need 2 be way fitter for league

  • Not if your a forward bro, have to be way fitter for union with constant running all over the park

  • not really lol what r u on about??

  • yea ay im a breakaway in rugby and u need 2 b way fitter, but the baks in league need 2 b bit fitter

  • you need to be way fitter in union as a forward you got to be there at every ruck

  • @sayianX3 bollocks, they get a 30 second rest every ruck and and a 2 minute rest every scrum or lineout, and how can a player be in two rucks in a row?? think about it

  • Ive played union and forwards are constantly in 2 rucks in a row, if not a lot more if they are fit.

League still kicks rugbys arse though

  • @nrlstar ummm... you can't rest while pushing in a scrum or ruck and if you're not in a ruck you're probably running to the next one. Apart from stoppages you don't get a rest.

  • No they dont.

  • dumb shit. too many breaks in rugby only rest in league is just after youve done a hit up

  • @krillenboi and scrums, trys penalties and while the same foward hits it up 3 times in a set while the rest of the team has a breather.

  • beast... i'm no tigers fan, but i sure hope he and Hayne can emulate the form of their careers in 2010, again. + Hayne in GF.

  • damn.........hope he plays 4 warriors lolz...

  • yeah true i play rugby union and the scrums you actually have to try in them as appose to just standing there. Also in union it is a constant contest for the ball; when a person gets tackeled they dont just stand up and play the ball and waste 7 sec they actually get down and fight for the ball.

Dont say fuck union cause union players usually do bigger hit ups than league players and union is a ore physicall game.

Go the Tigers & go the Brumbies!!!!!!!

  • lols what's "ore physicall"?

anyways im pretty sure league do bigger hit ups then union and it doesn't take 7 seconds to play the ball unless your one of the slowest people in the world to be doing that :P

  • if union is so good how come the first mention they get in the paper is 12 pages from the back page, and their ratings are getting beaten by sbs programming. Rugby union may have a contested scrum but that doesnt mean watching it isnt boring as hell, getting exited about a scrum seems disturbing. Union will never create players like slater, hayne, inglis, benji, thurston, folau, fui fui moi moi etc. btw the longest hit up a union forward will take is around the 3metres mark

  • @jk94111Union will never create players like slater, hayne, inglis, benji, thurston, folau, fui fui moi moi etc. so you're saying Union legends like Jonah Lomu or Carlos Spencer were crap athletes who wouldn't make a NRL side?

  • @tomhigton i dont even know who carlos spencer is. but no, that massive loma guy would. he might only last about 20mins on the wing but im sure he could try

  • @jk94111 you should look up carlos spencer brilliant player . Lomu managed to play 80 minutes in union so logic would suggest he would manage 80 in union.

  • @tomhigton yea that would be logical for wat u just sed. but what i think u meant to say it wouldnt be logical. wingers in league get thru alot more work in leageu that in union. union wingers dont have to take the first hit up wen under pressure. they dont have to contest cross field bombs. all wingers in union do is kick and score tries

  • @tomhigton

Lomu was a league player until he was about 17 then he switched to union. That's why his skill and athletic ability was so much higher than other union players.

  • @jk94111 maybe because australians just suck a union...always losing to SA and NZ nobody wants read how their country sucks, and AUS is like the only place that cares about league, 20 minutes of union takes as much out of you as league believe me i kno. union requires a far wider range of skill, league is better than soccer, american football and baseball and cricket by far!!! its a great game but you neeed a bigger set of skills to be a good union player than a league player that is for sure!!

  • @jaloko tell me your credentials to say that union has more skill. its a glorified kicking duel. and when there is a backline move its all adlib. itsnot for sure. watch 2009 best tries in nrl and the quality in that one year will be equivalent of the quality of tries in the whole rugby history. union is just a game for fat, chode meatheads.

  • @jk94111 ha well said. the amound of dropped passes, fumbles, forward passes i see in union is ridiculous. thats not skill. there is too many men on the union pitch its just a big mess.

  • Isnt there more time wasted in rucks, because players just wait for the ball to get out and all the fans can see is a dog pile. Im sure that takes more then 7seconds.

  • True :)

  • all i see in rugby union is players kicking the ball around and group sex

  • if that is what you call group sex, get off You Tube, and google "group sex," the images might shock you. Unless of course your group sex sessions involved 30 blokes.

  • @WheelEyeEmm i don't know what type of rugby you've been watching...

  • @WheelEyeEmm ur gay

  • @WheelEyeEmm

Rugby Union is the future of football along with AFL

  • @superman69er69 haha awesome joke bro

  • @WheelEyeEmm go eat a dick , if union is so gay where do u think league came from , it is union with mods dick

  • @Jake1thejumpstep rugby union is gay lol

  • you suck at everything

  • you coppied fawad you suck! hayne is better!

    From: Ali.M

  • yeah benji..!!nz finest..:D oh n rugby sux cos they go for more points on penalty n drop kiks rather than what ur aktually spozd to do..."skore TRY'S"

  • His second step is flawless

  • i like rugby league better than union but all you ppl saying its a poofs game and shit like that are fucking retarded. just look at the difference in the scrums....(league is a joke in that department)

  • Focus on scrums sucks. This means that you need to employ big useless dudes, whom invariably have no football skills, who spend a huge time on boring scrum "skills" on and off the field. The same can be said for lineouts, employing tall useless dudes to jump.

This is only a couple of reasons why Rugby Union sucketh, and Rugby League is king.

  • yeah dude i like rugby league way more than union, my point was only that they differ so much in the scrums. i reckon it should just be scrapped from league its seriously pointless..

  • I hear ya, I'm not sure what needs to be done, but contested scrums is a big no no, because there will be a massive shift in emphasis on them, and believe me the change to the game will be huge, and you will not like what you will see.

  • 0:07...

    mean ankle breaker!!!

if it wasnt 4 Union we wouldnt have league..

    but FUK UNION ANIWAES!!!

  • benji at probably the start of his rise to superstardom. Awesome play. Too bad lots of negative posts might divert more youtube watchers

  • you union trolls piss off

your games a poofs game mate

    tigers will make the eight

  • I can watch this over and over again everything about this year so far reminds me of 05 that was happening in my life.. and it comes again

the Ashes was going on in cricket

I was in uni but now am work at the uni

the winning streak coming and smashing the sharks in their home

  • Lol !@ union, union is a real good sport isnt it , so good they have to buy Legue plyers to play the game, and even then they go back to the real mans game called league, Sailor, Rodgers, Timan Tahu . Its a great sport that union isnt it? not!!! rofl

  • u knw its rly not that cool to laugh at your own jokes

  • agree

    add gasnier, williams, wing

  • aye pity that you are too young to remember all the union talent, league took from union, bateman, Apollo Perilini, Scott Gibbs, Dai Young, Scott Quinell, Alan Tai
