@Guanakito97 I've got one and no it doesn't. The only thing it has it a USB cable. And if using TRAKTOR software use the pro version, the lite version TO MY USE AND KNOWLEDGE does not allow you to record your efforts.
hello sir. i just wanna ask, how can i attach the mixtrack to a mixer (Behringer PMP6000) What type of cables do I need to purchase and where should I plug it ?! thank you and god bless!
Hey i have a question. I am looking into buying one of these, but i need to know if it has an output so i can hook it up to a receiver or an amp. Does the Mixtrack have an output on the back of the unit?
I love this mix shit was sick I'm only 15 and wanna start and I heard it's cheap and ima get a MacBook so why not get both and learn both .. But my question is how do u connect ur mixtrack to ur MacBook pro and do u have external speakers set up instead of using the mbp ones? How do u set up ur equipment
im using virtual dj but im unable to mix tracks and ya i dont have any dj set :( so would u recomm to buy this set and learn , or use tracktor or virtual dj for learning
@siddarth2111 you can most certainly learn a lot from just using your laptop and either traktor or virtual dj, but i would recommened getting a controller if you want to learn how to dj in the more tradtional sense. the mixtrack is a really great product thats great for learning the basics and also for more experienced people
@ChronoHD no, only dedicated itch controllers work with itch. the mixtrack pro, though, will work with the new software serato just put out, called serato dj intro i believe. looks very similar to itch
@pariskdx200 the mixtrack works with virtual dj. ive never used virtual dj so i dont know what you should do, but there probably already a file mapped for it somewhere, or should already be in virtual dj
how did you set up your mixtrack, I got 1 but I am soo confused on how to set it up, other videos say you need like an extra sound card or somthing, like a dj/io and hook it up to speakers with a cable, so im really confused
@We2John in a few days, i will be posting a video where I will be speaking about soundcards, connections to and from the mixtrack and i will also answer your question
@stevendiazzz thanks! yep im using traktor le here, though now im using traktor pro 2. im using an external sound card and i believe a usb sound card will work.
Hi. Does this Mixtrack have a monitor control so you can hear both tracks independently at the same time in your headphones? And would I need a twin soundcard in my PC? Thanks.
@TheDJmarkifyy im bringing in shut it down-akon & pitbull. in response to your other comment, im using the blue mixer to my left, the tascam us428 as my soundcard
@o0mort0o since I only had traktor le here and LE doesnt let you record inside traktor, I routed the audio from my soundcard back into the built in input of my macbook and recorded it with audacity.
@Cykull well, I only had the mixtrack for a few weeks at this time, but I practiced for a month or two before I got it on dj software alone. if you would like me to recommend some videos or stuff to practice, send me an inbox message and I will help you out.
dude! good stuff for a beginner. i'm thinking of getting the same setup. you made it look easy. are you just using the software that came with mixtrack?
@Mitchclarke92 music is from beatport, itunes, music blogs that I follow. you practice and see what works and what doesnt, or what sounds good and what doesnt. knowing if songs fit together and having a good playlist is half of what being a dj is all about
hey man just wanted to say you do some good work. how long have you been doing this and does it take long to be able to do a mix like u did? I am thinking about getting a Numark Mixtrack. just wondering what that blue box is.
@papichulo00021 thanks! well I have been mixing since the beginning of this past summer. I did this vid near the end of the summer I think, so I had only been mixing for about a month I guess. I highly recommend the mixtrack. its a great product and its still fun to use. the blue box is a tascam mixer which Im using as my soundcard and in my newer vids I use it to control effects in Traktor Pro.
@Pearlsrxk ... so im guessing you have done a lot of practicing. how many hours a day did u practice? I was wondering if you would know if since my computer has 2 audio output slot (2 headphone slots) if i would even need to get a sound card in order to hear the mix in my headphones? i also downloaded your new tears mix track... its pretty good.
@papichulo00021 glad you liked the new years mix! hmm i dont really know how much I practiced. I guess whenever I wanted to. I probably listened to mixes and my favorite DJs more than I practiced. both are important. If you can aggregate both headphone slots so that you will be able to identify them as two different outputs, then I suppose you wouldnt need a soundcard, though I highly suggest one. check out the numark DjIO or the NI Audio 2 DJ (computer and laptop jacks arent great)
@papichulo00021 if you have more questions about aggregating sound cards, or just about sound cards in general, send me an inbox message and also the type of computer you are using.
@MattyBaRR11 you need an external soundcard. if you have one, let me know, and I will help you out with how to adjust the correct inputs and outputs and whatnot.
@Pearlsrxk Thanks for the quick reply bro. I have a different question tho: I noticed that you answered (regarding external sound card) a Numark DJ IO would be better off.
I'm assuming that since your using your mixer as an external sound card: Wouldn't it be better to get a mixer for the same price instead of Numark DJ IO since you there's more switches and controls that comes with a mixer?
@helixzzz thats definitely a good point you have. A mixer would be better if you needed more buttons and switches, like I do (though i didnt use the faders and stuff on the mixer in this vid), but since many people have asked me what kind of sound card (usually not too expensive) they should get, I just recommend the dj IO. mixers like mine are expensive. but that blue mixer has been great to me. I use it for recording instruments, live performance, effects for traktor, and with ableton.
@funnyoscar if you have traktor le then there is a file with everything mapped out for traktor pro too. but if you cant find it or it doesnt work, you can assign things to the mixtrack though it might get completed when you try to do something like the jogwheels.
@officialdemo I just started here and didnt know how to scratch much. check out my Mix #3 videos where I do some scratching (not great scratching haha but its there; its also kind of hard to scratch on this device, its not really for that)
which model you have external sound card? I think it will be the best you can do. the fact is that I wanted the traktor pro, but I think the best thing is that I buy a external sound card and now this, when you can tell me which model of external sound card you have, thank you very much for everything, 10000 points: P
@djsansa I have the tascam us428, the blue mixer to my left, but unless you want something like that (thats an old model I just had laying around), I would recommend the numark dj io, or the native instruments audio 2 dj. if you need more help with everything, just send me an inbox message.
@Pearlsrxk thanks for everything guy, however what I will do is go to a store pc because they work with Numark's and I pick up a external sound card that I only serve to record the songs, if I do not get anything, I'll buy the numark dj io, many thanks
I need your help again. download traktor pro, install it and I still get the Traktor LE. I have the Traktor LE installed, I should shock the traktor pro, but still not working. Is your you did exactly to record the songs? must buy the program or is it free? sorry bur my english is bad, im spanish.
@djsansa you cannot record straight from Traktor LE. you can upgrade to Traktor PRO or if you have an external soundcard, you can route the output from the soundcard back into the built-in input on your computer and record the audio with a program like audacity. thats how I recorded this mix. if you upgrade to Traktor PRO you can just hit record right in the program. message me if you need more help with this.
still cant get enough of this vid..just got my laptop..went with the hp...plannin to get the mixtrack this weekend...but still one question i have to ask...should i stick to virtual dj or upgrade to traktor? and do they record songs?
@DJNateK if you are already familiar with virtual DJ then you should just stay with it. but I really love Traktor PRO and it is defnitely worth the upgrade. Personally I never really like virtual DJ and when I got the mixtrack I didnt like Traktor LE, but it grew on me, and Traktor PRO is awesome. hope this helps! oh and Traktor LE does not record, while PRO does. I dont know about virtual DJ
at like 5:50 when its like s-s-s-s-s-exy bitch it doesnt seem like you are doing anything on the controller. ps you are cueing with headphones right? do yuo have a soundcard, and if so, what model is it?
@poplolmomnon yes i am cueing with headphones, my soundcard is the blue mixer to my left, the tascam us428. at 5:50, the remix of sexy bitch is building up to the chorus with the s-s-s-sexy bitch on its own. thats part of the remix...I started my next song on the right deck, i like it-chuckie remix, too early, so I was fading it out with the volume fader, but you dont really notice it that much.
@poplolmomnon so, like I said, a lot of changes to the music causes people think that I pre-recorded it, but it is only because they are not used to hearing the remix version...
@Pearlsrxk ok man yeah i was just wondering. great mix with the mixtrack. i only have one thing uploaded using it, but i love it already. Im building my own midi controller for like effects and cue points (which i use alot of) and when its done the mixtrack will be even better
I bought this about a week ago. Were did you connect your headphones?I have built in speakers on my pc.im Looking to buy a laptop some time soon thought.
@poplolmomnon no it wasnt pre-mixed, i did it live. can you identify an instance where you thought it was pre-mixed? sometimes people mistake the changes a remix makes to the original song as changes that ive made
@poplolmomnon no, the songs were not pre-mixed, I did this mix completely live. Could you identify a specific instance where you thought something was pre-mixed so I can tell you whats going on? Sometimes people mis-identify a change that a remix makes to an original song as something that I am doing. thanks for the kind words tho!
mate these seem great! i was looking at them in a music shop the other day but the guy didnt recommend them as he said they were more for just playing your music form itunes and that you couldnt use them instead of actual turntables....i honestly think he had no idea what he was talking about, so far to me they seem like a perfect setup. im looking to get into mixing and scratching both for myself and and parties...i wanted vinyl decks and time coded vinyls...how do they compare to the numark?
@Emmett6661 first, the mixtrack is not just a product to mix with itunes as the sales rep said. with this product you get good DJ software and a more than capable product to mix on. yes, the mixtrack could be considered a beginner product, but has enough bells and whistles to satisfy a more experienced DJ i believe. if you are really looking for a product to learn how to scratch on, then I recommend turntables. if you want to learn how to mix and maybe scratch every so often, get this product.
@Pearlsrxk thanks for the reply! thats good to know, im looking for something to mix and scratch really! looking at some vinyl decks a friend is selling tomorrow so goin to make a decision then id say! thanks for your help! ps nice mix!
@rosscairns95 thanks so much! im not using any effect there, all I did was loop that part of the song and EQ the bass out, anything else is just the song I guess
@XbandosXpker i wrote about this earlier in the comments on this video or one of the other videos, but basically, since Traktor LE doesnt record, I routed traktor from my macbook through the tascam us428 and back into the built-in input on my macbook and recorded the incoming audio with Audacity. I use traktor pro now and it lets you record straight from traktor. if you have any more questions, or if you are trying to record and it doesnt work, let me know in an inbox message.
COOL MIX BRO I JUST GOT MINE TOO AND I LIKE IT, ILL LOVE IF U GUYS LOOK AT MY VIDEO AND LEAVE ME SOME COMMENTS AND SOME TIPS, THAT WOULD BE HELPFUL TO MIX BETTER NEXT TIME ITS UNDER
DJ FERRARI MIX WITH NUMARK
APPRECIATE ALL COMMENTS AND TIPS.
AND ABOUT COMPUTERS TO @DJNATEK BRO HP ARE NOT THAT BAD MINE ITS A HP AND I NEVER HAD PROBLEMS WITH IT
@sirdynamo Better perhaps, but not better enough to be worth the cost. And as far as it goes in music you can achieve the same results in both a Windows PC and a Mac, I only find that a Windows has a little extra feeling of security and stability that the Mac lacks - it seems very flimsy and delicate, not what you want for this kind of thing
@BenmaVideos ......dude obviously u have never had a mac cuz once u go mac u never go back haha ....dude you get wut u pay for and pc tends to crash in a minute compared to a mac more ....
@BenmaVideos "it seems very flimsy and delicate, not what you want for this kind of thing" ... dude a mac has very good durability more than a pc laptop. A refurbished macbook pro is 1000$ + shipping and 1 year warrenty, pretty good price I say.
@BenmaVideos macbooks are awesome. and there are software that run better on macs. if you like PCs though, thats great too. everyone likes something different. Ive had a few PCs and I prefer macs now. so lets not battle over which is better. like the gentleman said below "to each his own". making music is whats important, it doesnt matter how you do it. (one last thing--my macbook is built like a tank, very secure and stabile, if you dont think so, thats fine because its your opinion.)
nice dogg i actually just got the mixtrack and learning how to mess with it ......how long did it take you to get the hang of it thinking of trading it in for the pro wut do sugest
@DJNateK .....if your serious about music just save up a lil more dow and get the imac dogg for reals though shit is legit no virus and has 500GB hard drive and 4g memory
very very very very nice mix...getting my mixtrack soon...not sure what computer to use for it though...if i had the money i would get a macbook lol..anyone kno what computer works well?? let me know
@aztecal the button that says "scratch" near the jog wheel has to be lit in order to scratch like vinyl. traktor LE wont let you record, so you can either upgrade to Traktor Pro (which I highly recommend) or you can do what I did for this vid--I downloaded the program audacity, routed the output from my soundcard (the blue mixer to my left in the vid) to the built-in input on my computer, and then just made sure the inputs and outputs were correct in audacity. hope this helps!
hey id like to start dj in', ive been in music playin drums an guitar for yrs, just wonderin if i purchase this item, tht with practice ill be able to do all the things u did in the vid? thanks and would it require anythin else to be able to do ur stuff besides the N Mixtrack?
@5150drumsandguitars yep you will be able to do everything i did, especially if you have an ear for music and stuff, as you play guitar and drums. all i did to make this vid was practice and listen to my favorite DJs. thats how I learned. you will need a soundcard if you dont get the mixtrack pro and I would recommend upgrading to traktor pro if you get the mixtrack.
@Splurgeyourheadoff the view buttons enlarges the library or playlist window. im using the tascam as my soundcard and if you check out my newer videos, im using it to control effects in traktor pro
@Guanakito97 I've got one and no it doesn't. The only thing it has it a USB cable. And if using TRAKTOR software use the pro version, the lite version TO MY USE AND KNOWLEDGE does not allow you to record your efforts.

I think it will be the best you can do. the fact is that I wanted the traktor pro, but I think the best thing is that I buy a external sound card and now this, when you can tell me which model of external sound card you have, thank you very much for everything, 10000 points: P
djsansa 1 year ago
@djsansa I have the tascam us428, the blue mixer to my left, but unless you want something like that (thats an old model I just had laying around), I would recommend the numark dj io, or the native instruments audio 2 dj. if you need more help with everything, just send me an inbox message.
Pearlsrxk 1 year ago
@Pearlsrxk thanks for everything guy, however what I will do is go to a store pc because they work with Numark's and I pick up a external sound card that I only serve to record the songs, if I do not get anything, I'll buy the numark dj io, many thanks

I need your help again. download traktor pro, install it and I still get the Traktor LE. I have the Traktor LE installed, I should shock the traktor pro, but still not working. Is your you did exactly to record the songs? must buy the program or is it free? sorry bur my english is bad, im spanish.

hey everyone, the tracklist is now in the description!
Pearlsrxk 1 year ago
as I can record my songs with the numark and LE mixtrack traktor? I try again and again and I can not, someone please help me
djsansa 1 year ago
@djsansa you cannot record straight from Traktor LE. you can upgrade to Traktor PRO or if you have an external soundcard, you can route the output from the soundcard back into the built-in input on your computer and record the audio with a program like audacity. thats how I recorded this mix. if you upgrade to Traktor PRO you can just hit record right in the program. message me if you need more help with this.
Pearlsrxk 1 year ago
@Pearlsrxk any idea how i change the input to record on audacity?

still cant get enough of this vid..just got my laptop..went with the hp...plannin to get the mixtrack this weekend...but still one question i have to ask...should i stick to virtual dj or upgrade to traktor? and do they record songs?
DJNateK 1 year ago
@DJNateK if you are already familiar with virtual DJ then you should just stay with it. but I really love Traktor PRO and it is defnitely worth the upgrade. Personally I never really like virtual DJ and when I got the mixtrack I didnt like Traktor LE, but it grew on me, and Traktor PRO is awesome. hope this helps! oh and Traktor LE does not record, while PRO does. I dont know about virtual DJ

at like 5:50 when its like s-s-s-s-s-exy bitch it doesnt seem like you are doing anything on the controller. ps you are cueing with headphones right? do yuo have a soundcard, and if so, what model is it?
poplolmomnon 1 year ago
@poplolmomnon yes i am cueing with headphones, my soundcard is the blue mixer to my left, the tascam us428. at 5:50, the remix of sexy bitch is building up to the chorus with the s-s-s-sexy bitch on its own. thats part of the remix...I started my next song on the right deck, i like it-chuckie remix, too early, so I was fading it out with the volume fader, but you dont really notice it that much.
Pearlsrxk 1 year ago
@poplolmomnon so, like I said, a lot of changes to the music causes people think that I pre-recorded it, but it is only because they are not used to hearing the remix version...
Pearlsrxk 1 year ago
@Pearlsrxk ok man yeah i was just wondering. great mix with the mixtrack. i only have one thing uploaded using it, but i love it already. Im building my own midi controller for like effects and cue points (which i use alot of) and when its done the mixtrack will be even better
poplolmomnon 1 year ago
I bought this about a week ago. Were did you connect your headphones?I have built in speakers on my pc.im Looking to buy a laptop some time soon thought.
Thnx!
warsartist 1 year ago
@warsartist im using a soundcard for master output and using built in audio output on laptop for cueing in headphones.
Pearlsrxk 1 year ago
@poplolmomnon no it wasnt pre-mixed, i did it live. can you identify an instance where you thought it was pre-mixed? sometimes people mistake the changes a remix makes to the original song as changes that ive made
Pearlsrxk 1 year ago
were these songs pre-mixed? like there were changes when you weren't even touching the controller or computer.....just saying.
nice mix though!
poplolmomnon 1 year ago

Emmett6661 1 year ago
@Emmett6661 first, the mixtrack is not just a product to mix with itunes as the sales rep said. with this product you get good DJ software and a more than capable product to mix on. yes, the mixtrack could be considered a beginner product, but has enough bells and whistles to satisfy a more experienced DJ i believe. if you are really looking for a product to learn how to scratch on, then I recommend turntables. if you want to learn how to mix and maybe scratch every so often, get this product.
Pearlsrxk 1 year ago
@Pearlsrxk thanks for the reply! thats good to know, im looking for something to mix and scratch really! looking at some vinyl decks a friend is selling tomorrow so goin to make a decision then id say! thanks for your help! ps nice mix!
Emmett6661 1 year ago
great mix man i love it ! i was just wondering what effect your using at 2.53
rosscairns95 1 year ago
@rosscairns95 thanks so much! im not using any effect there, all I did was loop that part of the song and EQ the bass out, anything else is just the song I guess
Pearlsrxk 1 year ago
@Pearlsrxk ah yeah i see it now , cause i just got these and i really like your looping skills ! thats something i will need to improve on lol

how did you record ur mix?
XbandosXpker 1 year ago
@XbandosXpker i wrote about this earlier in the comments on this video or one of the other videos, but basically, since Traktor LE doesnt record, I routed traktor from my macbook through the tascam us428 and back into the built-in input on my macbook and recorded the incoming audio with Audacity. I use traktor pro now and it lets you record straight from traktor. if you have any more questions, or if you are trying to record and it doesnt work, let me know in an inbox message.

@BenmaVideos For Producing music and mixing a Mac is way better.
sirdynamo 1 year ago
@sirdynamo Better perhaps, but not better enough to be worth the cost. And as far as it goes in music you can achieve the same results in both a Windows PC and a Mac, I only find that a Windows has a little extra feeling of security and stability that the Mac lacks - it seems very flimsy and delicate, not what you want for this kind of thing
BenmaVideos 1 year ago
@BenmaVideos ......dude obviously u have never had a mac cuz once u go mac u never go back haha ....dude you get wut u pay for and pc tends to crash in a minute compared to a mac more ....
MothaFNBaSS 1 year ago
@BenmaVideos "it seems very flimsy and delicate, not what you want for this kind of thing" ... dude a mac has very good durability more than a pc laptop. A refurbished macbook pro is 1000$ + shipping and 1 year warrenty, pretty good price I say.
sirdynamo 1 year ago
@BenmaVideos macbooks are awesome. and there are software that run better on macs. if you like PCs though, thats great too. everyone likes something different. Ive had a few PCs and I prefer macs now. so lets not battle over which is better. like the gentleman said below "to each his own". making music is whats important, it doesnt matter how you do it. (one last thing--my macbook is built like a tank, very secure and stabile, if you dont think so, thats fine because its your opinion.)

@sirdynamo To each his own.

how can i record my mixes????????????
aztecal 1 year ago
@aztecal what do you have? traktor LE?
Pearlsrxk 1 year ago
@Pearlsrxk : yes i have the traktor LE, How you set up the mixtrack to put it in scratch vinyl mode and not regular mode?
aztecal 1 year ago

5150drumsandguitars 1 year ago
@5150drumsandguitars yep you will be able to do everything i did, especially if you have an ear for music and stuff, as you play guitar and drums. all i did to make this vid was practice and listen to my favorite DJs. thats how I learned. you will need a soundcard if you dont get the mixtrack pro and I would recommend upgrading to traktor pro if you get the mixtrack.
Pearlsrxk 1 year ago
@Pearlsrxk alright cool, thank you
5150drumsandguitars 1 year ago
@Splurgeyourheadoff the view buttons enlarges the library or playlist window. im using the tascam as my soundcard and if you check out my newer videos, im using it to control effects in traktor pro
