  • I REMEMBER THIS MOVIE I REMEMBER THE BLANKET BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • 1:40 when i was little i used to act that out :P

  • This scene is the reason why, as a kid, i would peek around the corner and run as fast as a could past the oven whenever i entered the kitchen.

  • It may sound strange to some of you, but I'm not scared of this song at all. But I still like it.

  • omgggg i miss this!!!!!!!

  • This scene scared me when I was a kid :(

This movie has ALOT of scary shit in it D:

  • Especially that final scene, and that fireman clown.

  • @Johnny2071 Your telling me Dx I hate that fireman clown scene... made me scared of firemen ;~; (kidding, it was clowns)

  • @blinkfan4ever

God, this song was my favorite, and the one that scared me out of my pants.

  • Epic climax is epic.

  • I loved this movie as a kid, and I think this was my favorite song...I don't really remember. But, it probably was. I loved the shadows as a kid, too.

  • whats the point of that

  • They've all gone insane! They have all gone insane and ARE PRETENDING THEY ARE IN A FILM IN ORDER TO DEAL WITH THE HORROR OF BEING TAKEN APART AND BEING REASSEMBLED!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

  • Did anyone else notice that the green lampshade is exactly like the worm from corpse bride? if so then my bad haha x

  • Lol. You're totally right.

  • There is an actor from black and white movies who looks like that, "Peter Lorre" is his name. Anyways, there are quite a few animated characters who are based on his appearance.

  • That last comment was @ AnnaLaFleur

  • I rember when I was like 4 or something my sister showed me this part and I got scared and staterd to cry......it still freaks me out a bit!

  • anyone know if there's a soundtrack for sale or to download somewhere. Cause I love this song

  • I'm in my teens and this still freaks me out.....

  • this movie scared the living daylights out of me!

  • maybe thats why i'm so fucked up. looking at all these objects come to life when i was 6 is like watching a bad acid trip.

  • i totally fogot about this movie till i heard this song somewhere in a video around youtube, then i was like, "oh em gee! i know this song!" when i found this video i was songing along, cant believe i remeber the words. lol. great movie though.

  • Those objects sure are cold junk-tards.

    Bullying Toaster and the group.

    Not very nice.

  • I know right, they a bunch of mean hunks of junk (literally)

  • I love this movie.....!!!!!

  • Earlier, back when I was a kid,

I didn't like it when the shadow nightmare transed into those bats.

    That was the creepiest part.

  • This movie has some of the most awesome songs. ^_^

  • Its like a movie, it's a B Movie Show!

  • This is pretty creepy...

  • Best movie ever.

  • This movie scares the fucking shit out of me

  • The song is not "Like A Movie" It's It's a B- Movie".

  • 2nd best song in movie :D

  • I think this movie is responsible for my inability to throw anything away.

  • agreed.

    holy crap that lamp...

  • THATS THE SPIRIT!

upcycle, downcycle, recycle and other shit like that!

My mom is an asshole who throws stuff away with premature conclusions of their conditions.

I do not trust anybody to throw shit away unless its tested. I am more about salvaging what is left of functionality than I am about disposing shit in favor of better organizing.

  • I love this movie.

  • So this show is responsible for who I am today.. 0_0 NOOOO!!! *KaBLAM!*

  • can someone tell me why blankie has a square face? That's always confused me O-o

  • It's an old eletric blanket so his face is the operating dial. ^ ^

  • omg thanks that makes so much more sense now XD

  • It's an eletric blanket and that is the heat switch

  • Comment removed

  • calm down buddy, I've never seen an electric blanket before

  • Comment removed

  • etf. this is not for children! THEY HAVE TEEFF. jeEZzz ;

  • Yup, a good memory of back in the day.. wow I love it! =D

  • The can opener thing is a girl, her speech is a parody fo Joan Rivers, and the lamp is made to look and sound like Peter Lorre, who was an older Hungarian - Austrian - American actor, not mexican. The genie in the first Aladdin did the look too with the "I don't bring people back from the dead" bit.

  • This is like Sid's Room (Toy Story), Little Shop of Horrors, and other horror features put together. I mean, COME ON! The evilest looking contraptions hanging around a dark store, and PLUGS COME OUT OF THE CEILING!

  • Is it an animator's mistake, ore are there TWO fans there? They're the same model, but one has a green blade, and the other has a white blade. Which do you think? Two separate fans, or coloring mistake.

  • I don't see a fan with green blades? I only see the one with white. Maybe you're mistaking it for green because of the shadows cast when the fan is facing away from the light.

  • Also it's the same fan it jsut looks like two because the green tinge is how they do the shadows when it's lower down.

  • OH GOD I just love this movie when I was a kid when it came on I allways watched it even now as a teenager RADIO IS MY FAVORITE HE IS STILL IS

  • who plays the voice of the ceiling lamp

  • Phil Hartman who also did the voice of the air conditioner. Although he does the voice, the ceiling lamp is an impersonation of Peter Lorre.

  • this movies sort of scary

  • This was my favourite childhood film :)

    Brings back memories.

  • my favorite part is from 1:01 to 1:04 as in (who will come to the cellar down below)

  • From 2:09 to 2:25 is my favorite part of the song. There goes the sun. Here comes the night. Somebody turn on the light. Somebody tell me that fate has been kind. You can't go out you are out of your mind. LOVE IT!!!

  • that's my favorite too!

also, this song used to scare the crap out of me when i was a little kid...still creeps me out quite a bit

  • Hooray for nostalgia. I love this movie so much. So many memories.

  • The guy who was Tony the Tiger played Kirby. But he is dead now unfortunately :(

What an amazing movie this is

  • Tony the tiger from the cornflakes?

  • Yes. He did lots of other voice over things as well. One of the best voices ever. I think he died about two or three years ago.

  • which voice actor in the movie is he?

  • Thurl Ravenscroft was the voice of Kirby (The Vacuum) and used to be the voice of Tony The Tiger, the Spokes-creature for Frosted Flakes.

  • Frosted Flakes

  • thats soo sad that hes dead, i love kirby :)

  • God this brings back good memories!! too bad they don't make good kid stuff like this anytime.

  • @sicxsweet Yeah, they do. Ever heard of Disney Pixar?

  • @InvaderZim897 Please shut the fuck up, TS3 was the only good thing to come out of disney in years.

  • @mrlijones89 Well, if you count Pixar movies as "Disney," then I'd argue that all the Pixar movies are at least GOOD. Better than Brave Little Toaster, can't say, but all the Toy Stories are probably better.

  • @InvaderZim897 I dont necessarily consider Pixar and Disney as the same thing. (pixar ftw) But Toy Story is like brand name Disney, know what I mean?

  • @mrlijones89 I dunno if I do or not. I mean, they've merged at this point, and John Lasseter is pretty much in charge of Disney. I sort of get it, though. Toy Story does really feel like a "Disney" kind of movie.

  • this used to scare the crap out of me when i was little! i was always like omg my toaster is going to come to life!!!!

  • i freaking love toasters voice so much!!!!

i just love when she sings!!!!

  • I noticed that the sound is a little off, but that is not too much of a big deal.

  • Incidentally, this movie--like Don Bluth's Secret of NIMH--was based upon a book and the book was even more creepy than this film and that's sayin' something.

  • I Pity mish mash

  • Who is the hover lamp

  • Dude...This is fucked. I know all of you are thinking it. Shit...

  • my favorite song in the movie!! awsome!!

  • i used to be scared of the hanging lamp lol

  • I loved this part of the movie i like the hanging light

  • I haven't seen this movie in years!! I LOVE THIS!! ♥

  • brings back old times ;D

  • I watched this movie last night with a couple of friends for fun, and I realized how creepy it was. I used to cry at certain parts, when I was little. :S

  • I'm pretty sure that Toaster, Kirby, Lampy, Radio and Blanky are all boys right?

  • toaster is a girl...at least it's a woman voicing the character lol..idk but the rest are boys, including blanky surprisingly o_O

  • Nah The toaster is a boy

  • holy crap.. i havnt seen this movie in years... i still love it!

  • This WHOLE movie scared me!

  • This song is amazing, the lyrics are so great. The whole movie is awesome. I never could figure out if the toaster was a girl or a boy. Now I know it's voiced by a woman, but still! :)

  • the toaster is a boy. listen carefully to the air conditioner at the beginning.

  • Voiced by a woman though. That happens a lot in animation, lots of women do boy voices. Thats why he sorta sounds like a girl when singing.

  • Yeah. Just like Tommy and the twins from The Rugrats...

  • Chuckie too, voiced by Nancy Cartwright who also does all the young boy voices on the Simpsons like Bart, Ralph, Nelson.

  • Damn I love this song! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!!!>-D

  • oh my god im rediscovering my childhood!!!!

shadows of daggers, wolves and claws just wouldn't fly these days. and how creepy is it when all the appliances get slowly pulled up by the chords at the end.... this shit was so nuts when i was a kid.

  • "Oh look at me barf barf I'm a can opener, a lamp and a shaver!"

XDD loved that part. This whole song rocked really. Scared me as a kid though.

  • OMG this used to scare me SO MUCH

  • Anyone who finds this movie inappropriate for children can suck my dead dogs dick

  • Radio ftw. ^^

  • I love this song. Last night I dreamed about it!

  • there goes the sun here comes the night somebody turn on the light

  • ive watched this movie more times then i can comprehend and it took me till i was 20 to figure out who vincint price was lol

  • yea im 21 i remember watchin this mad times. at points it became weird but it was a good kind of weird lol

  • I love this song and Kirby!! Nice job!

  • Kirby is the BOMB!! I always loved Kirby! I even call our vaccume Kirby!(we've had the same one since I first wtched this lol) and I just noticed how great a singing voice he has...wow lol ^_^

  • ya

you know the guy that did him also did tony the tiger?!

  • Yea! I had heard that! now that I listen I see the similarity.

  • This song is very catchy!

  • You should upload this video in German, Italian, and Japanese.

  • this is by far, my favorite childhood movie ever.....i got my friends singing this song now lol

  • any lyrics because i know some words

  • Best song of the movie!

  • wait what fat guy. D:

  • In the actual movie there's a fat guy who finds the appliances, takes them apart, and uses the old parts to make new junk then sells it.

  • somehow i love villain songs like this

    THANK U!!!!!

  • Seriously, he if he wants to torture somebody like that he should find a girlfriend!

  • The fat guy who runs that place needs to get laid.

  • I hate that fat guy!

  • That fat guy is a cheapstake and mean to those appliences.

  • Damn, he should die... in HELL!

  • Damn, he should die... in HELL!

  • Does the fat guy have a name in the original english version? In the german version he is called "lustiger Lutz", wich means "Lutz, the funny guy".

  • I remember this movie and how many times I watched it just for this song. lol.

  • Wow I haven't seen this for ages!

    This is my favourite song!

  • this was one of the best childrens movies ever made. so much better than disney could ever make, thats why they bought the rights to it. its emotional quality and rustic charm make it worthy of a place right up there with the don bluth classics like the secret of nyhm and all dogs go to heaven

  • i used to be scared of this part when i was a kid but i still loved it i loved this movie, brings back SO much memories

  • I loved the fan, and the phonograph. This song was the best! I so want a phonograph like that! I had no idea what they meant by "house of wax" or who Vincent Price was, but I loved the song all the same.

  • Im ashame to say this but...the refrigerator scared me the most as a child, don't know why but I remember that it didn't have a face. Maybe thats why it scared me.):oh yeah and the computer in the other song scared me..o_o

  • Loved this movie as a kid. I would show it to my kids. As for people that say this is to harsh for kids need to know that teaching your kid that cartoons aren't real is part of being a Parent. And that these over protective parents' kids has a very bad result in their emotional state, the ever growing "Emo Kid" problem is a good example. Over Protection is just as bad as under protection. What scares me is the new cartoons like Blue's Clues that talk to your kids like their retarded.

  • i agree

  • Jesus Christ!!! What the hell is with all you people and the "tape recorder has boobs" or shit?? This movie is brilliant and should be admired for all ages to come. Forget about the perverted crap society is feeding you and admire your childhood!!!!

  • LOL i remember being a kid and this part scaring me LOL...

  • This part always scared the living shit out of me XD

  • Heck yes! I freaking love this movie!!! I want a toaster like that. I haven't found one yet, but I'm still looking. :D

  • OMG i love this moveie soo much :D

  • yeah also thongs shown in everyday life kinda show a lot more than that recorder did...also...we kinda see a lot in every day life neway... ppl wear kinda revealing clothes... if u hav a problem w/this movie its not the movie's fault its society's

  • ok...to those of you thinkin it has boobs...wat do you just not want it 2 look like a tape reocorder?

  • i no, rly. quit crying about a childrens movie. it obviously wasnt ment in a dirty fashion, and the kids who watch it wont see it like that. i loved this movie wen i was younger, i couldnt get enough of it, and im perfectly fine now. i dont even see the resemblance to boobs, and im a high school guy.

  • hes right its not ment to be "bad" it's to show the recorder is a woman thats like yelling at people who make low top shirts for girls so half of their boobs show AHHH everyone can see boobs AHH little kids are gonna learn that women have boobs sometime cause they usually have a mom or female figure why not express it in a cartoonish manner instead of a realistic manner??

  • Guys, no one thinks it has boobs except for one person who backed down a long time ago. I was pretending to go along with him to get a reaction. Which apparently worked. Anyone who honestly thinks a comely tape recorder is going to corrupt the minds of our youth needs to seriously reevaluate their life.

  • i'm 20 i still like watching this movie i was 2 when this shit came out! haha and btw all the songs r sick and bring back a lot of good memories!

  • I remember seeing this when I was little!!! I loved it so much~ and it didn't care or notice the tape recoders breast~ lol

  • We see her in "full figure" for about five seconds. Get over it. The little kids who watch this movie don't give a rat's ass about it, and I seriously doubt a bunch of animators went: "Hey, why not be horny and draw a tape recorder with tits the kids can look at?"

It's a cartoon. A brilliant one at that, with appeal to all ages (and no, I'm not talking about how it 'appeals to the older crowd' that this tape-recorder LOOKS LIKE it has breast), and tells a really good story.

  • fine. i know i shouldn't care, and never again will i. >:(

  • This just goes to show your appalling lack of wholesome Christian values. Take your atheistic, child-hating propaganda elsewhere, sir.

  • Funny how you call me "child-hating" when I state that the movie appeals to all ages. What is child-hating about realizing that women have breasts and knowing such a thing won't kill children? I happen to be very fond of kids, I just don't believe in being over-protective.

You may be right that I was overly rude before, and for that, I apologize. But please don't come talk to me about Propaganda right after trying to shove your own Christian Values down my and everyone else's throat.

  • I agree with you :). it's not bad.

  • I see what your saying but, this movie was made a HELL OF A long time ago, when 'appliances with boobs' were appropriate for kids to see. this song in particular has a bit of a 'horror genre' complex with ghouls, knives, creepy melodic vocal and organ chords....this simply wouldn't be acceptable today.....i guess

  • And that goes to prove nothing but the fact that most parents have gotten more uptight. It's not like the movie has gotten more disturbing over the years. I watched this as a kid, and I'm just fine today. Kids don't grow stupider with the ages, and it's no crime to make an intelligent cartoon that everyone can watch. If anything, parents SHOULD watch this with their children, and explain things when they get "bad" rather than expect animators and scriptwriters to raise the kids for them.

  • Is it just me, or does that Mish-Mash thing sounds like Joan Rivers?

  • You got it!
