  • I know I'm going to sound stupid for this but....can anyone explain how to properly run on the track? Auto and Manual. I've never been too sure if you just give it all the gas once you take off or what. Can anyone please explain? I'm still pretty new to this...

  • @flattoprulez It would depend on the car. I have a stall converter and get it to about 3500 rpms and then mash it. With a slick car on slicks, i will typically dump it around 5k or so. On stock parts, that may not go over so well though.

  • Why not use a ratchet shifter and rebuild the valve body for manual operation? Unless you like having both hands on the wheel going that quick. BTW nice ride, these new cars are getting out of hand these days, not that i'm complaining.

  • @Temptuous2112 There isn't currently anything available as of right now. I know for the 13 models. The select shift is going to be an option on the cars which will be nice. Not necessarily for the drag strip, but for spirited driving for sure.

  • beefcake your a dealer and you make stupid comments about how autos are slower than sticks yea ok thats why my wife ran a 13.3 with our fully load 2012 mustang 5.0 last night and a guy with a bos 302 ran a 15 and a 14.6 the whole night regardless of good driver bad driver these autos are way better and now that I know your lack of knowledge I would'nt do business with you if you were the only dealer.

  • @07VortechGT I am not sure what you are referring too. Stock for stock on sticky tires, the Stick will beat an automatic simply because of the ability to launch higher rpms. However, once you start modding the auto cars they are beasts. This was my car running 10's. Now it's running 9's with the factory automatic. I am a huge fan of the automatic cars. Not exactly sure where your comment comes from.

  • Guys, just a reminder I am a dealer for Vortech / Paxton. If you need a supercharger, send me a message!

    Beef

  • Nice. I have a Vortech V3 SI trim on my 06 running mid 13s right now (now intercooler). I can't hook up off the line with my goodyear eagle F1s so no where near 1.7 60 foot times. What tire/size/pressure are you using?

  • @dtekavec is ur car a v6?

  • @dtekavec I am running MT 295/55/15 drag radials. 14-16 psi depending on the track. Just went a 9.99 on them last week!

  • @beefcakescobra Man, that's burning up that QM! Sounds like you hit the sweet spot with that tire size and PSI combo. I'm sure I can knock the ETs down by going to a drag radial but then I wonder how long the stock clutch will last with that kind of HP hooking hard. I guess that's another advantage to running an automatic, you don't have to worry about that, but I do love powershifting through the gears... adds to the adrenaline rush!

  • Auto tranny is GAY!!! Manual all the way :)

  • @BrothaHood70 Manaul isn't faster anymore, it'll be phased out in the coming years. There's new autos that shift faster than any manual out there, sucks for a lot of people but Ford is probably going to get rid of manuals just like they're doing with the v8 in F-150's, replacing a lot of them with eco boost v6 engines that produce more hp and torque than the currnet v8. hopefully the stang doesn't get a v4 ever. That'd be a shame.

  • @TheKing0fHalo Thats stupid :(, damn ford. I'd rather use manual anyway because you could do way more things with them apart from just being able to go faster :P

  • @BrothaHood70 But are any of those things good for your vehicle?

  • @BrothaHood70 The only thing the current car is lacking, is a paddle shifter. Once you add a paddle shifter, you can do everything in the auto, that you can do in the manual.

  • @beefcakescobra BUT IF U HAVE'NT DRIVEN ONE ALREADY U DONT KNOW WHAT UR MISSING WITH A STICK SHIFT IF I WERE U I WOULD MAKE THE CAR SEMI AUTOMATIC BUT IT'S NOT LIKE UR CAR REALLY NEEDS IT SINCE IT ALREADY RUNS 10S BUT IT REALLY HELPS TO MAKE SURE U WIN AGAINST OTHER CARS THAT RUN 10S ALSO!!!!!!!!

  • @beefcakescobra REMEMBER MANUAL CARS ARE ALMOST ONE FULL SECOND FASTER THAN A AUTOMATIC CARS AND THEY REV HIGHER!!!!!!!

  • @429mas Christ, stop with the all capital messages, it's obnoxious. The gap between Automatic and Manual transmissions is near nonexistent now, so I think your claim is a bit silly. Though, truth be told, automatics are tuned to be more tame off the line, but there are ways to correct it, like throttle controllers and tunes.

  • @429mas I am shifting my car at 7800, i dont think alot of stick guys are shifting that high. There is only 1 stick 5.0 in the country that has went faster and it is about 500 lbs lighter than mine.

  • @429mas it seams like you have no idea about drag racing manuals are one full second faster your a funny guy.thats why 99.99% drag cars are autos.

  • @beefcakescobra can a paddle shifter on an automatic drop into second gear from neutral?

On a manual with paddle shifters there are servos that actuate the clutch and shift the gear box, basically shifting by wire. Paddles on an automatic are simply another way of placing the vehicle into drive, reverse ect, such as the difference between a shifter on the steering column or on the floor. The valve body in an auto trans has a cutback valve that controls shifting into various gears at rev

  • gaucho. why spend so much on a shelby when you can do this?

  • @B1Springfield exactly

  • @B1Springfield Shelby loses little value and gains it back in 10-20 years. + Shelby's are cooler.

  • 2 people dislike ? wtf

  • How long have you been running this setup? Have you had any component failures in the engine or drivetrain? Did you make any other modifications to the engine? I'm interested for my 5.0, but I don't want to blow a head gasket or something lol.

  • @Toromont123 I have a low compression motor 10:1. Stock is 11 to 1. Many guys are running stock motors in the 10's, and even 9's. The key is tuning and fuel.

  • @Toromont123 ford built the 5.0 to race and they made able to stand almost anything u an throw at it... and if u notice the engine has special spots built on it for direct injection... with the right tuning and a few bolt ons the 5.0 could b in the 800-900 hp range easily

  • thats cool all you have to do is put it in gear and go right?

  • kona blue is amazing

  • @n9athan the best color!

  • @beefcakescobra yeah, I dont know why but mustangs have really nice blu's as color options. Kona blue with grabber blue 6 piston calipers looks cool

  • Nice stang bud..hope someday I can get one for myself..always a mustang fan and Toyota too hehehe...

  • What tires you use? wow that thing flies.. your dyno must read low.. that car is crazy fast..

  • @IXGQ4LifeXI i'm currently using 295/55/15 mickey thompson drag radials. i was using e.t. streets on this car, but it's responding better to drag radials actually

  • how many lbs of boost and are you runnin pump gas

  • @superchargedgton22s On that pass I was running 8.75psi and some torco accelerator.

  • @beefcakescobra and what all mods do you have im tryin to supercharge im 5.0 but i dont know witch way i wanna go wit it or how much boost i should run, should i do gear i got the kenne bell lc 2.8 wit a 8 lb. pulley

  • what does it mean for a car to be 'supercharged'?

  • @513gamer Basically, you've got a supercharger on the motor, (belt fed boost, more or less,) that draws in more air for more compression, which in turn pushes out more horses. :D The opposite of a turbo, which more or less recycles exhaust to produce more air, albeit obviously with a bit more lag, as you have to produce exhaust to get boost from a turbo. So if you ever hear, "Supercharged V6/V8," or "Blown V6/V8," or "V6/V8 with blower," That's what it is. (: Hope this helped.

  • @513gamer go to vortechsuperchargers website

  • what is your rear end gear ratio?

  • what made you go with the automatic ?

  • @rsswga I bracket race, and the auto is better for that.

  • @beefcakescobra ok thanks

    o

  • @rsswga it's better in the drag, DUH!

  • Hey guys! Do you think a 624hp supercharger-kit (FRPP kit for example) is suitable for 2011 5.0 automatic equipped vehicles? We discussed that in our german us-car blog and most of the members think the (stock) automatic-transmission will blow up if a 624hp kit would be installed?! Obviously the stock automatic transmission isn't damaged by a 528hp kit, so what do you think about 624hp? kind regards from berlin, germany - we would like to speed on the unlimited Autobahn over here ;)

  • @PrimuslnterPares Yes it will work, at least we NOS em with over 200 shots just fine, These American cars FLY but they eat a lot of gas so open up your wallet...Im talking power on demand, none of that 4cyl turbo lag B.S. these things scream!!!

  • @PrimuslnterPares if its FRPP, the car can handle it stock. The non tuner kits are warranted by ford.

  • I have a stock 2011 Mustang V6 (auto) and I want some mods. What do you recommend? Like what brands of exhaust, tuners, CAI, etc?

  • @BL00D4NG31 Stainless works exhaust, for whom I'm a dealer. As far as a CAI, the JLT or Steeda is good, and I typically use SCT Software. Send me a message if your interested in some exhaust.

  • im sorry but this isnt the first mustang that does 10 secs stock.....theres another video before you

  • @PuroPincheSinaloa09 this was the first factory automatic trans (no converter) with a supercharger to go 10's.

  • @beefcakescobra well in that case nvm

  • Imagine if you lowered that 60 foot time! Its already flying but i think it has a mid to low ten second run in it!

  • These superchargers are sweet! I seen a video on here last night that was a 2011 Camaro SS and it was sc and ran a 10.28. Got to love that!

  • what other mods do you have besides the sc

  • @herberv exhaust, and a mild gear. stock gear is 3.15, i have a 3.55. Full stainless works exhaust.

  • @beefcakescobra I'm not sure you can still call this car "stock" if it has a SC, gears, exhaust, and tires.

  • @177ark177 they are meaning stock 5.0 engine...the actual engine itself if stock...the S/C is only a bolt on...most ppl consider heads/cam/ or piston/crank mods to be real motor mods...but...no the CAR isn't stock

  • @ilovechevy1 Thanks for the clarification. I'm not aware of any "stock" racing class that allows a SC, or any of those other mods. It's probably safer to say this car is not stock, but still a beast.

  • @177ark177 indeed they are monsters...the only reason the new camaro is'nt right there with them is cause of a 300lb weight differnce...i'm a GM guy and the new camaro was murdering the 2010 stang 4.6 but that new 5.0 lveled out the power differnce..then weight came into the picture..it pains me to say..but unless GM makes a lighter camaro the 5.0 is gona be king for a while...camaro needs a diet..thats all really

  • @ilovechevy1 what ever help's you sleep

  • @ASCmustang88 whatever helps me sleep?..the stang guys need to be the ones that are worried about the future..since the past seems to repeat itself..a 93 Z28 is faster than a 93 stang GT..and so it was all the way up till 2010...hell a 98 Z28 camaro stock still runs the same times in the 1/4th as a 2010 4.6 mustang GT does.....GM fans have nothing to worry about..besides...maybe u wanna look up the new ZL1 camaro 550 HP GT500 EATER...thats what the next camaro release is

  • @ilovechevy1 The z28 was a high end camaro that beat a low end mustang, so you make no point there, also the zl1 is just gonna get beaten by the gt500 at the strip and the boss 302 at the track, no worries here. Also look into the new gt500 shelby's working on, zl1 killer. :p

  • @man36021 dude..you have to be retarded to say the Z28 was a HIGH end camamro that beat up on the LOW end Mustang!!...ONLY with the 2010 and newer camaro's is the SS the BASE MODEL V8!!...from 93-2002 and Z28 WAS THE ONLY BASE MODEL V8!!..just like the mustang GT was the BASE MODEL V8 mustang..so the Z28 vs the GT's where the matchup( of course everbody knows this but U lol)..just like the older SS's and Cobra's where the next matchup..comon guy..really this is common knowledge LOL..

  • @man36021 i cant' believe you still called a Z28 a High end camaro PFFFT AHAHA...maybe if they came out with another Z28 now then it may be considered high end now..sicne how the SS is NOW the BASE MODEL V8 ...just like how in the 90's and early 2000's it was the Z28 as the base V8 model... it went like this!! base V6 RS Z28 SS just like the mustangs went like this V6 stang GT Cobra Saleen..ect comon guy get with the program here..if you gona hate on Chevy atleast know WTF you talking bout!!
  • @ilovechevy1 Okay yeah you're right, I don't know the full history of the camaro because i'm not a camaro guy, since the z28 doesn't exist now, I thought it was a high end camaro from that time, doesn't matter now though, the stang is trampling the camaro now, and when the zl1 comes out, the boss will take care of that, until the new 2013 gt500's come into production to further the zl1's beating.

  • @man36021 nobody knows for sure how the ZL1 will do..has anyone gotten thier hands on it to test it yet?..just becuase they claim 550HP does'nt mean it wont be underated like the LS1 was..the said the LS1 made only 305 flywheel hp when it actually made 350 flywheel hp in the camaro's back in the day..i have owned both mustangs and camaro's..maybe you should go to my channel and look at my 520 RWHP camaro SS before you talk too much..i know my shit guy.. U dont' want to get into a car argument !

  • @ilovechevy1 I don't know about that, just because they underated the camaro in the 1990's - the 2000's doesn't mean they're going to underate the zl1's horsepower, as a matter of fact as badly as the mustang gt beats the camaro ss, chevy may be overating thier horsepower, either that, or ford's underating thier horsepower, also the 6.2L lsa engine makes 550hp in the ctsv, and they claim it makes 550hp, I think that's spot on, and I know my shit about ford, so this should be interesting.

  • @man36021 lol..just to clear something up with you the NEW 5.0 stangs dont' beat the new SS's " BADLY" like you mentioned..fastest times recorded for both car was a 12.2 stock for the 5.0 and a 12.5 for stock SS ...it's still a drivers race..the SS has a tad more power but the 5.0's are lighter...all the hype vids where you see the 5.0's murdering the new ss's are becuase they are racing the automatic SS wich has the L99 400HP V8 instead of the LS3 426hp..look it up..the SS's have 2 diff engines

  • @ilovechevy1 You're right it is usually a drivers race, but motortrend recorded the camaro running an average of 13.1 seconds at the 1/4 mile, while they recorded the mustang running 12.7 seconds on average at the 1/4 mile, sure .3 seconds isn't a bad beating, but you would think that a car with a 6.4L 426hp engine, would be able to beat a car with a 5.0L 412hp engine, but it doesn't since the hp/lb ratio is affected, and no engine technology is used, therefore I consider it a bad beating.

  • @man36021 the 5.0 has has the potential to be a lil faster....3 tenths is a fair ammount at a drag strip but not enough to cause a "beating for the SS's....and the LS3 is a 6.2. btw ;) ..but where the diffrence is Ford using only 5.0L and GM using 6.2 is gona show once signifiagnt modding is done..you have more power potential with the larger engine..simple pyhsics really..do heads and cam on both cars with a similar turbo or S/C setup..the 6.2 L will produce a signifigant power diffrence

  • @ilovechevy1 Dude there have been 8 second 2011 mustang gt's, and there have also been 11 second mustangs that have had a simple steeda tune, you can even type in 8, 9, 10, or 11 second mustang gt and you'll get plenty results, the mustang is just as capable as the the camaro, it really just depends on who modded the car and how well he did on it. Displacement isn't everything dude.

  • @man36021 you miss understood me man : )...i was'nt meaning wich car has the potential to be faster..actually in that case the new mustang wins becuase it's lighter..but ENGINE wise..the 6.2 L LS3 has more potential..i'm well aware of the 8 second new 5.0's, i follow all muscle cars reagardless of make...let's say you want to make 1000 RWHP..it is a fact that if (let's say for instance) you have a 1000 RWP goal...the 6.2L will get you there cheaper , and for less money..more CI and less cams

  • @ilovechevy1 Yeah you're right, but I don't think you'll need 1,000hp in a car to beat another 1000hp car, just have good overall performance figures, and you'll be killing bugattis in no time. :)

  • @man36021 i agree there 100%..i have been in that situation at the drag strip before..my car makes 520 RWHP and i have raced and beaten 700+ RWHP cars due to driver, weight, or other things that dont' play out there way

  • @ilovechevy1 exactly...

  • @ilovechevy1 I usually say there is no replacement for displacement as I have a LS1 and i love it! but the new 5.0 engine in the mustang has some GREAT flowing heads and the VVT really takes that engine to a new level. Even with the 6.2's better displacement it's going to have a hard time keeping up with the 5.0 mod for mod. Hell, ford's got it boosting to 624hp with 5.0 liters, hell my LS1 wouldnt hit those numbers to save its life with just supercharger and tune.

  • Why are you saying in the title its stock when it is not??

  • @phoenix92xdan He means the engine itself is stock, ie stock rods and pistons etc.

  • thats amazing just a bolt on sc kit with some dr's and you go 10s thats crazy

  • Can the rotating assembly handle it?

  • @lizzyfan1986 Yes.

  • Very impressive...

Can the stock auto handle this level of power for the long term? Any change in driveability on the street?

  • How many lbs of boost?

  • NIce run!! Just wondering what your launching the car at rpm wise. I think a 1.7 60' is decent but this car should deff be hitting 1.40's. Are you just taking it easy on the drive train? What work other then the supercharger and gears are done tto this car?

  • @john19812003 It's a stock auto. It is not a stalled car, from what he has said, so he is not going to cut 1.4's.

  • @mawk27 Thanks I didnt see he said it was a stock auto makes sence now. Get a converter in that thing and lets see some wheel stands!!!

  • Should have gone with PROCHARGER... Much better kit

  • is that a Wild Horses club sticker on the back glass? i love it!

  • @rediculousredneck It's a cartman sticker, lol, my trademark!

  • Vortech? erm if im not mistaken isnt that chevy.? lol

  • @iTzTrAx1 No, it's a supercharger manufacturer like Kenne Bell, Whipple, Eaton, etc.

  • @RealFan Isnt chevy engires called "Vortech?"

  • @iTzTrAx1 I think its VorTec

  • @iTzTrAx1 vortech superchargers

  • @iTzTrAx1 dolt!

  • @iTzTrAx1 lol. learn what you're talking about

  • @iTzTrAx1 you have got to be the biggest car fail ever first there isnt a vortech car manufacturer and if there is then i have never heard about it and its not a chevy it says in the title mustang 5.0

  • @bballplaya123678 okay "bballplaya" Chevy produces engines for their pick up trucks called VorTec.

  • @iTzTrAx1 just stop.

  • @CATZR600BRAAAAAP Just stop what? You dont even have to comment. I was confused cause there is Vortec chevy truch engines and vortech superchargers.

Dont comment if all your going to say is "just stop"

  • @iTzTrAx1 If you knew anything about performance, or cars at all, you wouldnt of asked. I'm trying to help make your self look less dumb.

  • @CATZR600BRAAAAAP Well seeing as ive never owned a chevy or a ford and i just got my first car about... 2 days ago you can fuck off and suck my dick :).

dont be calling anyone dumb with a user of "CATZR600CRAAAAAP".

  • @iTzTrAx1 Naaa man gotta get yourself a gf for that. And Braaaaap, 2 stroke aka sled dirt bikes, you probabaly didnt know that either though, no big deal. I accept retards of all ages.

  • @CATZR600BRAAAAAP lol.. i own a 2008 cr250 and a 2007 kawi ninja zx6r. ive owned plenty of 2 stroke bikes sleds and quads, i even owned a 2 stroke 3 wheeler. i bet you never even heard of that have you? 2 strokes do not sound like what you say is "braap" unless they have some mechanical issues or you do not take care of your bike(s). ive been riding 2 strokes since i was 4 years old, started out on a 1963 yamaha pw80. dont be talking shit to people you dont know anything about.

  • @iTzTrAx1 haha ok bud whatever you say. Type in Braaaaap to youtube. OH SHIT! its all sleds and dirtbikes. Oh and they have a sled movie named Braaaap, nuff said. Hmm well looks like your the idiot. but hey i guess riding a 2smoke since you were 4 makes you an expert on how they sound. and my dad has an atc 250r 2 stroke 3 wheeler.... so looks like your striking out lol.

    good talk though henry hardass.

  • @CATZR600BRAAAAAP lol... that movie "brap" you are talking about.. you honeslty dont know shit about that movie. my buddy was on the film crew for it, and the name "brap" originated from a burp from the film director (believe it or not) and they picked the name brap because his burp sounded like a yamaha excitor that was having carb problems. as i stated earlier a 2 stroke engine will pretty much only sound like "Brap" if there is a mechanical problem etc etc. dont talk about things you dont kno

  • @iTzTrAx1 Yep, okay.

  • @CATZR600BRAAAAAP and they only used "brap" as the a one time movie title, they also filmed "sled me to death part 1 through 4" way back in 1993-1995 and i was in that movie.

  • what gearing do you have 3.73? 3.55? 3.35? 4.10?

  • @Jorge50505 lol its not my car but this one does have 4.10 gears

  • @Jorge50505 that was with 4.10's i switched to 3.55's and the car has went 10.81, picked up .05

  • for stock gearing thats crazy quick. any plans for gears or a stall when it comes around?

  • god dam, 1st gear was like a millisecond on that first run, good stuff

  • @praetorian2150 the 4.10's with the 4.17 is just too much on a s/c'd 5.0. i have since went to 3.55's and the car shifts much better

  • That is so freakin awesome, do you just have the stainless works cat back exhaust? Not being a smartass, but do you think the stock parts will hold up with all that HP?

  • @rumpstumpr I have the full stainless works setup on the car. Hoping the stock parts hold up great
