  • Is this even legal?

  • booooooooring

  • 6:36 cloverfield

  • im a hunter and would never shot a elephant there is no game in that go after a white tail or a bear elephants are big lazy game to shoot i realy dislike this kind of hunting

  • Reading the comments on this video reminded me of a Reagan quote, "The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but that they know so much that isn't so."

Sport hunting injects a tremendous amount of money into failing Africa economies. How many of y'all are willing to give $65,000 to support conservation? In addition, elephant meat is not wasted. The carcass is often donated in its entirety to locals.

P.S. Research the damage that excess elephants do to habitats...

  • i agree with peterf16 i am a hunter my self and i dont under stand y u wound hunt elephant like come on really are you gonna clean that beast and even if they were some what decent hunters and did clean it whos gonna eat that much i guess they could give it to the villagers but where will they keep the meat

  • What wimps these hunters are! Killing an elephant really!?!?! yeah stocking one is hard and skillful, and i'm sure a big rush, but does that really outweight the death of a magnificant animal with such a slow population growth rate with such a huge poacher problem? nope. Elephant hunters are shitty! I love hunting big time, but this is selfish and just wrong. Go to you know where!

  • @peterf16 Oh, absolutely. I mean, if there were a bull elephant charging you with its hormones raging, I'm sure you'd just stand there and greet it. "Hey there Mr. Elephant! I sure do love you! Please don't pull my guts out with your giant tusks, or turn me into jelly with your massive weight!" You would have shot too.

  • @Musicisliberation These bullies were hunting for elephants. Do you think they were out curing cancer in the middle of the bush when out of nowhere this mean old elephant just decided to attack them and they just happened to have guns strong enough the biggest land animal there is, despite how rare elephant attacks are?

  • @peterf16 This may be tough for you to understand, but some people don't give two shits. I am one of those people.

  • @Musicisliberation wow, nice, your arguments are really well though out. Take care bud!

  • Comment removed

  • I don't understand why would you kill such a magnificent animal?? Oh, Sorry I forgot.... it's because you can, because you hold the big gun & it makes you feel really important?? talk about lording it over the animals...you people who kill for fun make me want to f*ing puke!

  • @lovesmehorse Get over it, dude. It's not the hunters that are making animals go extinct, it is the poachers. Poachers and the environment kill more animals than legal hunters.

  • Is it tru that a good dangerous game bullet can be used over again?

  • @MrBobert121 the case can be reloaded, but u obviously cant use the bullet...

  • When will these atrocities be banned?

  • Dont kill innocent Animals ... If anyone kills u the same or kills your family how do u feel ?

  • that PH has a much bigger pair than me

  • there was no cruelty in this video. Elephants are like any other animal, some are good some are bad. This one obviously did something to make people investigate and when it charged it could have killed. Self defense.

  • Such cruelty must not continue

  • @iantaylor124 You failed bad, you don't even know what cruelty means. If you want to experience cruelty, go check out where the meat at the supermarket comes from and how horribly the animals are treated all the way from birth

  • @iantaylor124 or watch how they make caviar

  • @iantaylor124 you're a frickin moron

  • I find it interesting that the projected time frame for the extinction of African elephants is around ten years....yet this is still going on. Interesting.

  • @visceru92 they are allowed to do this in certain protected areas that have too many elephants. competition gets very high and alot of elephants die off because of this. also, males stop reproducing at a certain age and can no longer contribute to the gene pool. thats why hunters are allowed to kill them, so that the newer generations have a shot at mating and passing on their genetics to future generations of elephants.

  • What gun is the guy that killed it using?

  • Even though I love elephants and think they're the sweetest animals (next to dolphins) I don't have a problem with this. Most likely if this was illegal they wouldn't be posting it on youtube.

    Yeah, I'm a guy :)

  • U guys sicken me it is illigel to kill elephants. when or if they do go extinct u guys will be sorry......

    THEY ARE ENDANGERD

    read a book.

  • @TheRealHarry27 It is not illegal to kill elephants and they are not endangered. Read a book!! Every single country where hunting of elephants is banned the populations are dropping fast. Where hunting of them is regulated they flourish. PM me if you want some hard number on it. The same goes for all of africas wildlife.

  • @Blacklung27 You are right! i am sorry its just sad to see the big guy on the ground dead :(

  • @TheRealHarry27 your just wrong there buddy... do a google search before you say something silly, again.

  • 7:46 elephant gets pwned

  • yeah he pays instead he pays for the privledge of not being a gooey spot in the bush but if he wants to keep the trophy he would have to pay the trophy fees if notr the ph could register the kill as defensive

  • yeah he pays instead he pays for the privledge of not being a gooey spot in the bush

  • the PH shot the elephant, not the client. so do client still have to pay?

  • Nice shot with the position you were put in.Unlike the position everyone else was put in multiple times in this video.Sir were did you and your comrades learn gun safety?I don't care who you are what your are hunting but, I saw an uncountable amount of times where your weapons were pointing at each others heads, walking through brush.Who carries a gun pointing forward on your shoulder with the barrel aiming right at a friends forehead.....professional, i say not.

  • @MrRoadrage420 Thank's Dr. Sherlock! You're paranoid and should not own a weapon.

  • @usmarine1stLtAZ Well i wouldn't hire a guide that continued to point guns at his sports. You can call me paranoid if ya want but isn't hunting elephant obviously dangerous without, wondering when a branch is gonna slip into the trigger guard and shoot me in the back of the head...oh wait I suppose that the safety is on, or wait safety's that must be for paranoid people to, cause lets face shit never happens.Far as owning guns I got lots, and I will never be this irresponsible, I like my friends.

  • I have to say that the Professional Hunter tried to not have any confrontation with the cow elephant, but seems that this cow just couldn't go away. Shit happens!

  • No,it`s 0.500!

  • Why hunt elephants?? I mean you can't eat them.

I hunt squirrel, rabbit, deer, pheasant and partridge so i don't mind blood sport but why elephants??

there is no need to hunt these.

I respect the saying 'Don't kiil what you can't eat'

  • @DeerUnter Elephants are culled regularly because there are so many of them and they are very destructive animals. They instinctively rub against trees and break them down so they can't co-exist with farming humans.

What happens in this video is American's pay large sums of money to shoot the elephants and that money goes to conservation of African wildlife. It's a win-win situation. The elephants will be killed regardless so why not make money off it?

  • @DeerUnter you can eat them. but a vast majority of the meat goes to the local villages that are starving. nothing on a hunted elephant goes to waste.

  • @nickatina40 That's great to hear.

  • Your a real professional man....

  • Good work PH !

  • All of it.

  • Is this animal after being shot put to any use ie food ?

  • At least the hunter faced some sort of adversity instead of just walking up to it and shooting at point blank range like Rann Safaris does.

  • If you dont control the herd the elephants will destory the eco system and everything else will die.

  • i LIKED IT IN THE FIRST FEW MINUTES it better not take a turn now.

  • @justtakeiteasy they had shot it before, elephants often charge when they move closer to follow it up. This happens quite often. I'm a hunter myself, so I may be a bit biased, but hunting is not inhumane. Hunters are always worried about making the best shot so the animal doesn't suffer

  • @justtakeiteasy inhumane? Then you are against the Humane Association putting down animals? This was a kill or be killed situation.

  • @justtakeiteasy what don't you agree with?

  • Don't know sorry, I haven't used the .460

  • hi mate what do you think of the .460 weatherby for this?

  • @justtakeiteasy Well in that situation it was kill or be killed, and yes it takes awhile to get all the meat off of the animal

  • @justtakeiteasy Normally the hunter keeps the skull and the ivory and the africans process and distribute the meat to families in africa so the elephant doesn't go to waste. In a lot of african hunting videos you might hear the guide say, " Nothing will be left behind".

  • Great shot in a high intensity situation. Good job

  • They've got malaria

  • This is REAL HUNTING! Stalking a young agile elephant in thick cover is true sport. I've seen other hunts where they walk up to an old bull in the open then kill him and it was pathetic.

  • my god that was almost heart stopping you guys must of had fun .that was a neat video of africa bush .......thanks ....

  • That was baaaaaaaadddass

  • Ruger .416

  • what caliber and what rifle were used by the PH?

  • Perk 1: Stoping Power

  • @dcin1 and steady aim

  • @dcin1 Perk 3: Extreme Conditioning

  • @dcin1 Perk 2: Overkill

  • @axel1518 Perk 3: Steady Aim

  • Having spent a little time in Africa (Zambia and Namibia); I would leave most of my kill (meat) for the peolpe living in the village or bush. But most privately owned farms use the meat to feed their guest, workers or sell the meat to the butcher and make biltong (good stuff).

  • @AJones840 Feed the africans, the source of most of the regions problems. Good going.

  • i dont finf it fair because the guise killed it.. if i pay for an animal im supposed t kill him..

did you hunt yours ?? or this os the one you kept?

by the way, its a nice video

  • Buzz uses a Ruger Magnum in .416 Rigby. He is one of the very best PHs You will find for hunting elephant !

  • no problem

  • I don't know , sorry.

  • what caliber and what rifle were used by the PH?
