The guitarist is playing a Taylor and the singer's playing an Ovation, or at least I'm pretty sure. Taylors are some of the best guitars you'll ever find, and Ovations are great, but they're really...twangy and brisk. Country and bluegrass and folk players often use Ovations, and they do sound great, but for most styles of music they can seem too bright-toned. I love the rounded backs on them but you have to get used to it when you're playing one because it's odd at first.
