Happy New Year Aruba!

I love Aruba's New Years. It's like there's a firework show on the whole island.

You should have seen the amount of fireworks 10 years ago. There used to be a lot more, believe it or not. It used to start around 10 pm then escalates insanely by midnight and goes on till 2 am.

Now, even though prices are sky high, families manage to buy atleast some things that make your ears bleed, a "pagara" (a def. must) and one or two sky-rockets for midnight, just to keep the island glowing and insane.

@anapao89 To be honest just try to be with the people you love cause it's a very beautiful time on the island and you wouldn't want to miss it at ALL after i went to aruba on NYE omg i fell in love with it ,so much love everywhere. Hope you enjoy it. :) p.s the beaches are extremely beautifull tooo :D

If ever you get a chance again, you should pass your New Year on the "Hooiberg" one of our higher points on the island. The view from up there is really amazing and you get to see and hear the firework of almost the whole island.

Let me tell you something; these Arubans are off the hook!!! They light up these pagaras on the 31st all day long, and it's a scene reminiscent of the battle for Okinawa and Tarawa in the Pacific during World War II....complete carnage. Gotta love it!
