Many "insights" people have come up with on LSD are metaphysical statements that have to be accepted on faith. I don't accept philosophical statements as "true" just because someone was on LSD when they first said it. There's no reason to get offended just because I don't think as highly about LSD as you do.
It's ignorant to assume that I haven't used LSD just because I don't follow the doctrine set out in Tim Leary's The Psychedelic Experience or because I think Aldous Huxley's The Doors of Perception is largely pretentious nonsense. Not everyone who has ever used LSD feels the same way about it (some people who've used it genuinely think it's horrible).
I've done acid at least 35 times and I think it's fantastic. It has the ability to produce beautiful experiences. I don't believe that it opening the doors of perception necessarily leads to valid insights. I really don't believe it leads people to a better understanding of the universe. Even people with PhDs make mistakes. I suspect Shulgin was mistaken.

I've done acid at least 35 times and I think it's fantastic. It has the ability to produce beautiful experiences. I don't believe that it opening the doors of perception necessarily leads to valid insights. I really don't believe it leads people to a better understanding of the universe. If you disagree, that's up to you, but I seriously doubt that you could back up your beliefs with solid evidence, given the subjective nature of so-called "enlightenment."

To make that clear, this was fake. Ive tripped alot, over 30 times now.. Ive had fresh acid, bad acid, 'expired' acid, hell ive even taken a drop straight from a glass lsd vile frozen in the 60's, and it was the strongest trip of my life. Still i didn't act like this. I threw dayglo paint all over the basement, went streaking, and had an out of body experience listening to the flaming lips. But if i would have seen a man in a bunny mask. It still would have been a man in a bunny mask.

@DextroChemist Bad acid is contaminated LSD, fresh acid obviously is acid which has been made recently, and expired acid, is acid that has sat in a hot car for hours. I did actually take a drop from a vial that has been in a freezer in NV. for 40ish years, and i really couldn't care less what you have to say about it. I didnt act like spenny, NO ONE ACTS LIKE THAT ON LSD. They have even said this shit was scripted further proving that lsd doesnt make ppl act that way.

You don't know how everyone acts on LSD. I doubt that he was on LSD, but you can't tell just by observing a person.
Even if the scenes were scripted, that doesn't mean that someone couldn't act that way on LSD. Your logic is rediculous.
People can act pretty much any way imaginable on LSD or not.

@bradzdestroyer You really are stupid. I'm sure you read about chloride destroying LSD in Shulgin's book, but I suspect Shulgin is mistaken. The concentration of chlorine or chloride in water would be really, really low and unlikely to degrade LSD quickly.
When LSD is dissolved in water, it's no longer a crystal.
LSD is not that sensitive. It's about as sensitive as one would expect given its structure.

@bradzdestroyer You really are stupid. If you dilute 100 micrograms of LSD from a drop into a cup of water and you drink the whole cup of water, then you're still ingesting all of the LSD. If you ingested a 100 microgram crystal of LSD, it's getting diluted in your body. Diluting a drug does not make it less potent, it just means that the concentration of the drug has been reduced.
Even people with PhDs make mistakes. I suspect Shulgin was mistaken.
