Could black american please stop using the word "black" as generalisation to describe all black people, as an East African we do not have this problem in our society, our women get marry young and stay married. If at the time when our BW were getting educated and bettering themselves they used that knowledge to better the BM at the time. When a woman says she's strong and independent, she is basically saying she only knows how to take care of herself and doesn't have the skills needed to function in a relationship where you need to depend on the other person. Self Sufficient means you have the ability to take care of yourself, but you know how to be in a relationship. Big effin difference!!!

Nobody is telling black women NOT to make money and have their own stuff. However, like I said in my previous post, if you want to be in a relationship, you're going to have to develop skills to be in a relationship. Contrary to popular belief amongst black women, it IS possible to be self-sufficient and NOT have a stank, skrong and independent attitude that acts like man-repellent to men of ALL races and ethnic groups, and STILL get your respect.

This is all a string of unfortunate events which leads us to where we are today. So reality its no more the BW fault then it is the BM fault. If at the time when our BW were getting educated and bettering themselves they used that knowledge to better the BM at the time. We spend more time tearing each other down then building up and that is where the major problem is.less tearing down and more uplifting of each other as our grand parents and great grandparents once did

contd.. to make money because if its hard now for a BM to find work then it was 10 times harder for a BM then to find work to feed the family. In turn the weed and then cocaine in the 80's placed most BM in prison away from there families. Which left the BW to fend for herself on welfare raising children, then the government made a way for ppl to aquire student loans to attend school. While the BM were incarcerated and unable to. that led to a more independant BW in my prospective.

Once those black women have come down off there high horse i believe that the statistic of 70% of black women single number will drop dramatically. Black women cannot take that answer to the issue.
