I love playing no overhand rules. Anything from side hits and below only allowed. Also, strikes are made on the side and under the ball only. Makes the game more fun for all skill levels!

My friends and I play handball with those special handballs the size of a tennis ball or cricket ball...it's way funner and requires way more skill. Plus you gotta hit it onto the ground of your square and into the other persons square first, only problem is some douche bags do really bad serves

Umm... First of all, in the U.S. we usually play with a basketball. Second of all, it is not really much easier. With such a big ball, you have longer volleys and the game is a little crazier. You can't spike a tennis ball. However, you can spike a bigger ball. Also, I think that this is the way 4-square was originally intended to be played. You wouldn't really think it sucked if you played it. It looks incredibly easy in this video, though. That's because everybody is standing back so far.
