krishna was the name given to that body, in the mahabharata, bhagavad gita krishna is refered to as narayana which is another name for Vishnu. i agree we don't know what our sins look in god's eye,and now you are saying that sins need to be punished. that is what i mean exactly,if humans are not punished then they will continue to commit such sins. in hinduism when we take krishna's shelter then he takes away our sins,but we are not allowed to commit sins on his strength,that after doing all wrong deeds throughout our lives he will take all our sins.

@malealone420 There will only ever be one sacrifice for sins - the Lord Jesus Christ. He is God Almighty. No one else could take the punishment for sin. Hinduism can not forgive sin, nor can you be delivered from sin. It is Jesus Christ who sets people free from the power of sin, not Hare Krishna. Jesus Christ has saved me and set me free. He can do the same for you.

@rbright79 on what basis can you tell krishna is not god? and as far as taking your sins is concerned, krishna tells us in the eighteenth chapter of the bhagvad gita, that if we just surrender unto him he will take all our sins. it is in christianity that if one does not confess to his mistakes,then he will go to hell and burn there forever. how can god be so cruel that he does not put an end to this burning?in hindu religion, we suffer in hell till we nullify our bad karma.

Sin deserves to be punished. Chanting will not take it away. Jesus Christ came to take our sins away at Calvary, by dying for them on a cross. If we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to save us from our sins he will do so. Krishna never has saved and will never save anyone. You need Jesus my friend.

You are right! I was perhaps somewhat harsh. However, if someone is standing on a sinking boat and too involved with themselves to notice, shouldn't you call out with enough emotion to get their attention? Notice that devotees are people who believe in God, however God is described and demons simply are those who don't ... and yes, even those who don't, will get there someday. Forgive me? or not? krishna was the name given to that body, in the mahabharata, bhagavad gita krishna is refered to as narayana which is another name for Vishnu. Rama was the incarnation of Vishnu for a previous human epic, Vishnu is bound to taking whatever form is neccesary for that human epic, for the human epic of Rama, a perfect man was needed and that is what Rama was.

I am sorry but you have got your facts wrong. Rama is not an avatar of Krishna. They are both avatars of Lord Vishnu. Also, please remember that Rama came before Krishna. Hanuman took part in the war of Mahabharata. He sat on top of the chariot of Arjuna.

@gunchibaiyya hey!! just want to clarify, ram and vishnu are both avtars of krishna. krishna resides in goloka vrindavan as krishna eternally,first he came down as ram and then he came as krishna himself. i know its confusing. but don't spend your energy in figuring this out, because it will get more complex,and is not required. instead just surrender to any of his form you feel attraction for. and do chant this mantra. hare krishna
