  • I have a friend who almost lost his life because og zoloft.... He actually went crazy because of the drug.... as can happen with all the prescribed psychotropic drugs... especially when you try to withdraw to fast. That's why so many people become crazy and sometimes dangerous to themselves and others....

  • i know it works well for some people, this was just my experience on it

  • You cant denounce this stuff. It works for lots of people and you could stop someone from actually getting something they need. You need to realize this is your experience. It works very well for me

  • yeah madgethecat i was the exact same on taking this medication for me it was hellish and i really will not be taking at again i am however on mirtazapine 45mg which has really worked for me. but yes this drug was not a good one, some people do really well on it but a lot more people have told me they have had serious problems with it, i wish doctors would think twice and go through more about side effects of these types of drugs.

  • @dylan7639 Given to me too easily i think, it was horrible, but now im never going back to my doctor cuz i don't trust him, trying to cope without nothing, just 4 cans of beer a night now for me, and when i get anxiety i just try to talk myself into doing stuff and feel proud if i do it, but most of the time just wanna sleep the day away, ty for your vids, its helps to know ppl are not alone :)

  • Thanx for sharing : )

  • ♥♥♥ Important Good News ♥♥♥

Have you or your loved ones used antidepressants and facing side effects???? Then I have good news for you You will be eligible for compensation Get back to me here I will share details effinnycymnbw @ gmail com Why not get it take action now

  • i got perscribed sertraline and after a couple of hours of taking it, my head felt weird, dizzy and my face got really hot, which then made me go into a near panic attack, i was then on a over extreme high all night till 6.30 in the morning, pacing up and down the garden and the living room all night. Not being able to keep still or sit down, or concentrate. I was very agitatated, and paranoid, hot and cold shivers, muscle rigidness everything. Its was a hellish trip, never again!

  • Poor you hunny x

  • I felt like I was going crazy as well. The first week was horrible but after that dreadful experience my mood has greatly improved. Its been four months now and I can say that zoloft was the best thing that has ever happened to me.

  • Zoloft can be stimulating for some and sedating for others. I started at 12.5 mg daily daily for two weeks, then upped the dose another 12.5 for another two weeks, and so on. The standards dose titration is not for everyone. If you start at a dose your body will react strongly to, you may not want to blame the meds. It maybe that you're starting at too high a dose.

  • Stablon is better

  • I was prescribed it yesterday for anxiety, I told the doctor I had took it 8 years ago and i felt euphoric or like a superwoman ( totally not normal or myself), and she said well thats what your body doesnt recognize/know...I dont think its a good idea to take it, I have 2 daughters to take care of, so most likely I wont take it, I dont have time to flying like a kite, have side effects, I cant even tolerate the Maxalt 10mg side effects much less this medication.

  • My story is exactly like yours. I felt great the first week, and then the end of the week came the most hellish side effects ever. I literally sat in a chair the entire day, in pain, twitching. My arm was shaking, I couldn't keep my legs still. I rocked back and forth like a crackhead. I doubled the dose like the doctor told me, and I feel better, but actually more like a zombie. I don't feel anything. I'll take a panic attack to feel something over nothing.

  • All zoloft did for me was make me gurn like a bitch! And get occasional bursts of extreme happiness which were quickly replaced by a feeling of confusion and general weirdness.

  • Prozac did a number on me. I had crazy out of body experiences, neurological problems (like brain zaps while ON it, brain shivers, hallucinogenic type dreams and visions, arms and hands going numb etc....awful). Im on zoloft now, very v ery very low dose 12.5 mg. Its been working wonders so far. I hope you find something that works for you!

  • its a disgusting medication. Im now on mirtazapine and it is really helping me getting over my anxiety day by day and more so im on 45mg some drugs benefit people in different ways sertraline was not a good medication!!! They should ban such a horrible medication.

  • @dylan7639 Hi , I'm 32 and I started experiencing anxiety attacks about 3 weeks ago . My Dr. perscribed me zoloft for it , 50 mg but I only take half . I haven't experienced any negative side effects . My attacks seem to have subsided a bit with 25mg for 7 days . I still want to get off of it , though . At this point would cold turkey still be unwise ? Thanks , I hope you're feeling better .

  • @dylan7639 Why should they ban it? Because you don't like it? I swear by it as the best of the SSRIs I have taken.

  • @dylan7639 hi there, that sertraline is a hellish tablet you are absolutely right.Infact in my view, and experiences i had all the same side effects as yourself.Stay on the mitrazapaine...they are okay & wish you all the best.My story is probably longer with many twists, however at the end of the day?anxiety is awful and i know what you are going through. But it is part of you,not all of you.

  • Yea Hydrochlorid, in a pill.

That sounds not healthy at me.

I would like to know how many children have been poisonded by compareable other psychotic toxins. I do not mean smoking or drink a beer. I mean medis prescribed by an addicted doc, who needs a bottle of wine a day.

  • yeah it didnt agree with me at all, i was taking into hospital after i took it cause of the reacton i had and im still getting over it. think you have had it worse than me though by the sounds of that.

  • This drug was a fucking car crash for me as well. Very similar experience to you but it also nearly shut down my urinary system.

  • sertaline makes me dehidrated when im asleep. insomnia. it dosnt work for me i dont feel any different

  • hi there yeah i came off it and went straight onto mirtazapine which is really working great for me right now. defo talk to your doctor and tell them you want off it, as its your choice you can get put on something different its trail and error with medication but if your really not happy on it, ask to be taking off, dont stop cold turkey though my friend.

  • I'm reading an awesome book right now called "Depression: The Way Out" by Neil Nedley. Google it. It's worth it.

  • Volume's all the way up and I can't hear you!!!

  • i am currently on sertraline and i am having the same experience myself as u did, how did u find coming off it as i don't want to be on it ANY longer and are u on anything else since and is that working

  • haha i did grow up there yes!!! coming off that isnt nice, you can ask your doc for diazepam to help with the side effects, or herbal things. im not trying to push tablets but if they help then there is no shame in taking them, but defo have to come off them slowly and i heard a change in diet can help. defo talk to your doctor about all the possible things that can help and dont be scared to be pushy cause your health is important.

  • Are you from Glasgow? Best city in the world.

I have been on Sertraline for over a decade, and it takes away all sexual desire but also numbs intrusive thoughts. But coming off makes me feel so sick. How can I do this? Even slowly feel awful.

  • hi znikacz, im on mirtazapine which i think is helping me im now 30mg and have been giving diazepam which i take ONLY when needed like when u get those thoughts in your head that your going crazy its truly scary, how are you dealing with it and are you getting better now and how? i think i do feel better but when i stop and im alone and bored my mind goes into over drive and i cant stop its disturbing i feel like im insane sometimes and thats all from that one time i took zolof!!!, any advice?

  • I suffer from social anxiety and neurosis. I took Seronil (European version of Prozac) and benzodiazepines for four months. I had suicidal thoughts and self mutilation attempts. I had put out about ten cigarettes on my arm, still have scars from it. I also got addicted to benzodiazepines, had to go through withdrawal. Not a very pretty picture. Anyway, thank you for this video, very informative.

  • You can`t give any advice based on your own experience because everyone will react differently to a drug.

Like your doctor said, its completely normal to get an increase of symptoms and some side effects when you first start this medication. The increase of anxiety and most side effects go away for most people after a couple of weeks, as your brain gets used to the medication.

Zoloft is actually a pretty good drug for anxiety overall...

  • yeah well i had to come off it, as i felt unsafe and it was intense mental thoughts like i was going insane, i couldnt calm down or anything. im now on mirtazepine which so far so good, because of the sertraline i still gets these intense scary thoughts if there really bad i have to take diazepam, but for the past week if i try think positive thoughts then it calms so hopefully i can keep that up without needing help with diazepam, which there is no shame in taken tho, its just there for support

  • i do feel like myself again, so i think i might be able to wean off.... you are not crazy, i felt the same exact way, but you will feel better once your body gets used to the medication. any questions just ask. i feel like i am a pro!!

  • I have been on sentraline/zoloft for 3 years now... The first 2 weeks were hell! "brain zaps", weird thoughts, increased anxiety, sweating, weird dreams, dizzy... but honestly after 2 weeks i started feeling normal again. Its not been 3 years and i am starting to wean off, I am going very slowly. i started weaning off bc i gained 40 lbs while on this medication....

  • Right on!

  • I also took sertraline and I didn't like it either and got off it. I also had some unpleasant side effects so I switched to citalopram and I had a bit of side effects also from that but after a while its working very well for me. I don't know if would work for you or you are taking something else. Plus its only 1 pill a day unlike for me sertraline was 2 times a day which I hated.

  • yeah i really wouldnt recommend it to anyone, i only had 1 dose two days ago and it has seriously effected me i still dont feel right, i actually feel more anxious and i feel so low!!! maybe im just overly sensative to it but nothing should make you feel like this, the stuff made me feel insane!!! i hope you have better luck than i have had.

  • I was given sertraline but after the ton of bad stuff I herd about it I decided to not take it.
