Oh baby, this is the real deal. Jerry Butler's little brother. Oh my God it takes me right back to my teen years....almost makes me teary, things were so beautiful and promising. Girls and guys meeting, dancing, dating. Chicago was such a cool place then before the gangs blew up....I wish the Young Uns would know what we knew then. Really.
When we listen to these sounds, we realize why baby boomers are kind of cool people. Music led us and it was good music we took in. We could dance, romance, talk, sing and fall in love because someone delivered a remarkably good song with talk about love, not a body, not sex! I won't say it was simply better times, I'm going to say that I wish our young could relate as well as we could. How I love this.. what you really call a jam. Case closed...Peace :D
Chicago has the sound, believe that! I played this until we had to get a new one. One of the finest songs in the world performed by one of my favorites. Reminds me of the Casino on 63rd and Maryland in the 60s. That's where we learned to really bop and bop so cool. Thanks for the post.
love this song so much !! Billy Butler will always be my favorite singer besides his brother, I put him up there with my top list of male vocals singer, such as David Ruffin, Jerry Butler, Eddie Kendrick, and Major Lance, and Eddie Holland etc..BIGBADLAMONT

Written by Billy Butler and Curtis Mayfield, if you like mid sixties Chicago Soul its hard to beat that combo.
