Hey man. Whenever i try the tapping intro section i get a weird ring on the frets like a second note (particularly on the higher frets) - its not the guitar because i have tried it on a couplke of guitars. I have been told to mute the string behind where i am tapping as both sides of where i am tapping my finger is producing a note - but this isnt really possible of this section? You dont seem to be getting second note. are you doing something to stop it?

@ArthurKeys I'll have a look into it, i'm afraid i'm out most of today though, i will check and see if there's anything special i do haha, i taught myself all the tapping stuff:)

One thing i will add, is that when i'm practicing the tapping riffs, especially at first, i play each note VERY slowly at first, making sure i'm not getting any buzzing sound on every note, then trying again, until each note sounds pure:)

@ArthurKeys another tip is to hold each note for very long when practising, to make sure you can keep up the pressure on the note.

then just speed up, play it realistically, and with practise, it'll come very quickly:)

i think my dad taught me like 3 chords about 6 years ago, but i think i actually started about 5/6 years ago, i've been teaching myself really for the past 2 years, with little bits of guidance, just looking through new styles and techniques, i play a bit of everything really(:

just learn like everything you can, metal, rock, old stuff is great to learn too, and the easy chord stuff, it all builds up skills:)

don't be afraid to play with your fingers, as well as with plectrums, literally do everything you can:)

it's the tuning he uses for alot of songs in this style.

If your guitar sounds out of tune on the higher frets, your intonation could be out.

@xDanCobleyMusic no alls fine in that department, but what your playing in the video doesnt fit to that tuning.. if the A string is tuned to G, the notes on the 5th string should be played a fret higher than your playing in your video, you get me? the fingering only fits to G#.. as far as im aware, try it out and see, but im sure its G#! and let me know if im doing something wrong please :)

It didn't really take long to learn, I've been playing Newton's stuff for a while so you kinda get used to the techniques :)
