she absolutely ruined true grit with her tedious one dimensional portrayal. didnt any teach her in acting classes great movie characters are multi dimensional conflicted self doubting ambiguous walking contradictions...the character mattie ross was the most one dimensional bore in movie history. this lady and many other actresses neeed to learn what true great acting is. no humour no self deprecation, so self analysis, just awful. but we are all too politicvally correct to say so?
