its all making sence to me don't freak out and try to spur just set your feet untill the horse blows then let the spurs fly, all the way across the arena with sling shot like momentum spurin the shit outta these horses, i think kelly timbermen and bobby mote are really good at deminstrating this
Yeah, they have to. when they first go they have to "mark out" (have your heel above the horses shoulder) or their ride won't count. (when a horses back legs go up, you lean backwards. when a horses front legs go up you lean forwards. that makes it easy to keep balance.)
@ILoveDrimi Usually. To stay on you really have to drive your hips into the handle and lift on it. It's a lot easier to stay balanced than if you're sitting up, and you'll get scored higher.
@wildponyracer For the NHSRA you have to be 15. I'm sure there are other organizations though that will let you ride ponies or something when you're younger.
