It is worth mentioning that I only reached the first part of the Moto Perpetuo. But when I saw Yehudi Menuhin playing the violin the "Moto Perpetuo" at 200 bpm I thought I could do the same on the guitar, without Ligatos, but pure "Up & Down"from my pick. But it is true, in my best moments I did not go beyond 120 bpm. So I'll keep that speed and complete all learning the subject. This will be even more convenient and probably less harmful, as you say.
Excellent is the only full version of "Moto Perpetuo" that I have seen and heard on electric guitar played at the same speed I have on my sheet music and the version of Menuhin on the violin that I saw on youtube. I think they should be 200 b.p.m. if I remember correctly.
@oscaronorato Very kind words. Thank you! "Allegro vivace" is always open to interpretation, isn't it? I think 150-160 is fast enough for this piece... Doing this at 200bpm probably would have given me carpal tunnel and/or tendonitis and/or brain damage.
F****n unbelievable !!!! How did you manage to remember those zillion notes !!!! Bravissimo amigo !!!! Your performance is very clean as well !!!! A+++++++++
There´s simply nothing bad to say about your performance ... You have achieved technical perfection pal, now play Yngwie Malmsteen´s "Far Beyond the Sun", "Arpeggios From Hell", and "Caprici Di Diablo" (from his last album) and I think you are done ! ;)
It's always good to challenge yourself that way, but with some pieces like this one, the fingering is very important, and there are a lot of decisions to make. So let me just add to that... "Use your ear... And then when you're figuring out fingerings, use your brain." :)
Yup, that's right. I was concerned about the fingering so I checked some tabs but they contradicted each other. Best way IMO is to use your ear, and like you said, decide what fingering is best for you!
nice! you should try out the 16th caprice of Paganini
so how is that Carvin? was it worth the money?
i im the market for a 7 string and the only guitar that catches my eye as for good Spec's is Carvin but i hear their guitars are little Over rated for the money
Brian, as a friend and former roommate, I have to say I am glad that you have finally made this piece come alive. I remember you punching walls and pulling alley cat's intestines apart to make it right. Bravo Brian...Bravo!
Amazing playing man! Found you on Vahe's page!
