@Lolabelle32 I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this as a kid! I've watched the whole series as an adult and it's fun to watch for subtle hints. I get the feeling that Jodie was very conflicted about her feelings for Jeff, though. In the episode "Wishes" she is the one who messes up his chances for finally becoming "real" in spite of the fact that there is that tension between them.
I always wondered if Jeff also became anatomically correct when he came to life. I guess even as a little girl I was a perv. :P
I loved Jeff's boyish and unblemished view of people and the world. He was so kind, trusting and curious. He hadn't been tainted with cruelty and dishonesty yet, so he was like an innocent little child to me and all I ever wanted to do was get to know him.
I also had the biggest crush on him when I was little. I still do, I guess. Does it ever really go away?
@stolenturtle You are so right. Jeff's innocence is a big part of the attraction -- watching the show as an adult (and I've watched a lot of it in my 20s) it becomes even more obvious that he is practically perfect.
I always wondered if Jodie could ever manage to have a "real" boyfriend who didn't mess things up with Jeff. I always suspected that he was the reason she stayed in the episode "Jodie," he was her handsome prince, and remember the episode where he thought she did have a boyfriend?
I think Jeff and Jodie were boyfriend / girlfriend all throughout the show. It was never realy specificaly said, but they certainly acted like they were boyfriend and girlfriend.
I wish they could do a Today's Special reunion show and have the characters of Jeff and Jodie wear costumes similar to what they wore on the show, that would be cool to see.
i did too! hey how did you get all these clips? do you know if its been released on dvd yet or how i can get them??!! oh were they dating in real life? they were both the sweetest ppl!
I think they would have gone together on the show most definately IF the show was geared for teens which it was not..
Since it was a kids show, I think they had to keep the will they or won't they idea off limits--because that would have been innapropriate for a kids show.
Big mutual attraction was very evident, but being a kids show--- they couldn't go into stuff like that!
The fact that the handsome prince in Jodie's dream just happens to be Jeff is rather telling, no?
Which episode is the kiss from? Inquiring minds need to know!

The kiss came from the episode "Bedtimes".

@Lolabelle32
I could never decide if that kiss is a friendship kiss or a romantic kiss!
happy7117 2 years ago
@happy7117 it's probably the first but we can all hope that it's the latter. :)

Actualy the reason it was Jeff in her dream was because he was the only male character on the show.
They probably chose not to use another male character because any other male character would be unknown to viewers. .
I don't think Jodie's handsome prince would be someone we didn't already know.

Nice video. Can I please go back to my childhood when I would watch this show everyday?

Thank you for making this! I can't find any fanfiction on it at all. It finally satisfied my craving for a Jeff/Jodie pairing.
I loved the show when I was little. Always liked Jeff. A lot. <3

That kiss at the end. That was genuine!! Jeff loved that kiss on the show as much as if it were off the show too!!

Bad news!! Jodie and Jeff are NOT dating in real life!! I think Jeff is married. Jodie..I know she is into politics now.
Although it certainly looks like they could be going steady from watching the show!
I sure hope Jeff and Jodie keep in touch though!

Michael/David and Bonnie/Patricia from Knight Rider also!! There was always a "will they" or "won't they" vibe about them too!!
These shows have characters that click so well together, it's like we wonder if it was intentional or not!!
It's either superb acting or great chemistry! Or both!
happy7117 3 years ago
Not only did Jeff and Jodie have that hot chemistry going on, the whole cast did!!
I always felt that when I was watching that nothing seemed liked forced acting between the gang.
happy7117 3 years ago
Shoot! I hit "Post" too soon!
Everything in this show seemed too natural to be acting.
It's almost as if what was on screen is how they Jeff, Jodie, Muffy, and Sam were in real life.
Jodie's real first name was Nerene. But Jeff's first real name was oddly Jeff.
I could always imagine Jeff and Jodie/Nerene going out together after a taping of an eppe!
Or the puppeteer and voice of Sam(Bob Dermer) and the puppeteer and voice of Muffy(Nina Keogh) going out after the taping of an ep!

They always had chemistry! You weren't the only one, they always had a 'will they or won't they?' about them. :D
