  • @profanious you can go fuck yourself with you daddaario while i rock out with my balls

  • @ilmanmuutajamuutilma hhahahahahahaha!

  • Ernie Ball regular slinkys all the way. The y usually last me bout 8 months and never lose to much tone as they age.

  • I use ZW Dunlop strings, i love em. Great tone when playing in a drop tuning and pich harmonics sound amazing with em

    Sounds nice :)

  • GHS boomers for me.

  • @Sidewinder9877 Pressure wounds for me.

  • i'm exclusive Ernie ball regular slinky :)

  • i like dunlop heavy core

  • I want to try GHS boomers, anyone use those before?

  • @guitardudeguy00

There good anouth, but in my opinion,Ernie Balls are the ones you want, specially if a Tremolo player.I'm a insane tremolo abuser, and Enrie Balls are the only ones who can survive :)

  • @Haddockxyz300 yeah ernie's work well for guitars with that kind of bridge, I've used d'addario's and they didn't hold pitch as well

  • @guitardudeguy00

I use D'Addario and there even better than Ernie Balls, but yes they lose their tone. Wath strings do you curently use then???

  • @Haddockxyz300 Ernie balls is what i use.

  • @guitardudeguy00

Lol, i guess my search isin't over

  • @Haddockxyz300 I hate Ernie Balls, they lose tone in like 3-4 days... one of my least favourite, I don't like D'addario either, but each to their own

  • Ernie Ball is better than D'addario, I like elixir too.

  • i dont use conventional strings, i get specialist shizzle which is the thickest longest shit ever lawl :D

  • I want to know how they made strings way back in the day. I have tried hand wrapping a string. I got like two inches out of 3 hours of work then the wire got so hard to twist I couldn't do it anymore.

  • @Redmeddle yeah i was just thinking of that as well while watching this video. I wonder how they would have completed these guitar strings back in the day.... when these machines weren't so available.

  • @dstea Yeah totally and then to think of even going back even further to the medieval times. Did they use animal sinew or what? That would take a true master.

  • Ernie Ball Slinky 11 - 48 I use

  • 3:48 IT'S A WRAP!

  • HEEEEEEY its the D'addario factory D'addario i wuv u :3

  • All these baaad, bad puns...>.<

  • D'addario factory!

  • wow all that to make one string................I WANA WORK THEIR!

  • Comment removed

  • That was Gerard Depardieu at the end there for those of you who want to know. He string tests on the side of acting jobs in Flance.

  • 1) Get a regular guitar string set price.

    2) Get a regular bass stings set price.

    3) Shit brix.

  • how the shit do you make those ball ends??!?

  • how do you keep the strings shiny

  • @johnboyc5 buy new ones :D

  • ernia ball regulars are the best

  • i bought some D'addario's some days ago :D

  • some of those workers are retards bcuz i always get 1 or 2 evtra strings :)

  • @SamConway96 lol, extra value? XD and what make? i want extra strings

  • @tdragon360 ernie ball super slinky

  • @SamConway96 lol i shall buy them form now on and get an extra set of strings lol, is the extra set always the same?

  • Good vibrations?? F that!!! wheres Dave Mustaine?

  • this is why guitar sring are expensive..haha

  • I wish there was a 11 15 20 30 38 46 string set :(

  • @imadey0utube You can buy those. Idk why you'd want those though. 46 is too loose for drop d/standard in my opinion.

  • Comment removed

  • @imadey0utube just buy different string sets and make your own set

  • @krayter That's kinda of a waste. But at my local music store, I can buy a 8 10 15 21 30 38 set, and a single 46 string. I'll just throw out the 8 and I'll be ok what that. ;)

  • fuck

  • love guitar strings:) soo beautiful

  • The acoutsic at the end was soothing

  • now i'm suprised that my strings are so cheap

  • D'Addario Factory

  • 2:17 the machine looks like its cumming out guitar strings...

  • @mysteryloser24 lol i wonder who was helping it cum guitar strings. "gasp" it had sex with a guitar. i hope it wasn't a bc rich mockingbird. i love those. lol

  • @sonichackman1 That was more random than my comment... XD I prefer Dean Razorbacks tbh :)

  • wait...

this was the video i watched from d'addrio strings... but without the "how it's made" touch to it

    weird

  • elixers all the way. or martins.

  • ghs boomers

  • Yep, these are D'Addario. Does anyone know how many people really make their own strings? I heard that there's really only two factories. Does Fender make their own?

  • Ernie Ball does, at least I assume, they started making strings 'cause beginners had a hard time bending the 3rd string on electric guitars 'cause it was wound then, so they started making unwound 3rd strings. So they must make their own.

  • Yes, Fender makes their own strings.

  • squire makes their own but i think that counts as

  • are these like, all Low e strings>

  • No, probably different bass strings.

  • They are the top four of D'Addario from what I seen. They did have a whole lot of each kind though, like the E A D and G.

  • D'Addario strings

  • It would suck to get your finger cought on the string when its winding.

  • It's mechanical, that can't happen.

  • @Ventdemon It looks like the worker has a green bandage on his finger if I'm not mistaken.

  • Elixr FTW

  • guys help what are the chords played in the last part??

  • G-C2

  • idk how anyone could have a job like...wrapping guitar strings, without going insane...

  • ur right, noone could do that.

  • @itsmedude1990 It would make me...

    Especially high-strung. YEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHH.

  • @itsmedude1990 Pretty sure 90% of How it's Made jobs are like this... I would go bananas.

  • @itsmedude1990 maybe it's not as bad as cleaning messy toilets

  • @WildMaverick1200 well, atleast with cleaning toilets you get a little suprise here and there, but with winding guitar strings? i don't think so...

  • @itsmedude1990 it would be worse if you had to do it manually!

  • @itsmedude1990 probably a good turn around rate one guy works there a week the other guy quits then new ones

  • @itsmedude1990

I understand, but I can do that stuff, my body and brain takes over, whilst my spirit runs freely traveling my self created universe.

  • @itsmedude1990 Trust me.. had worse. Worked at a metal casting industry. All I did was staring into a machine making sure nothing got stuck to the molds, which happened sort of once a day. Other than that, I did nothing but stare in to a machine without doing anything at all. Managed two months before I went nuts and quit.

  • You would think they would wear gloves though so that the natural oils on the human skin wouldn't mess up with metal. WTF?

  • Guitars were meant to be played by human hands. People don't normally wear gloves when they play the guitar.

  • yeah but when you are MANUFACTURING guitar strings you do not want anything that will rust or corrode the strings such as the oil and natural chemicals on your hands. I never said people who play guitar should wear gloves.

  • It doesn't matter when a person touches a guitar string. They are made to be handled by humans. It's not like the guitar strings are thinking to themselves, "OH! we're being handled without gloves and we're not even on a guitar yet! Let's corrode!" or something of the sort. I mean it's not like they're doing pick scrapes on the strings with a sharpened metal pick or something.

  • I love how he points out a scientific explanation to how it might be possible for the strings to corrode during the manufacturing process and you respond to it with bullshit hypothetical theories.

  • yeah but that little amount of contact with a human hand wont affect the end products quality

  • They probably wear gloves, too.

  • if guitar strings do rust from being handled during manufacturing, then they are obviously not good enough for regular usage, and hence not good enough....to be guitar strings.

    just sayin'~

  • 5:59 Woah it's Rob Cnningham from plaent waves XD man he knows everything about all those companies.

  • D'addario strings are awesome

DR strings are my favorite though

  • dr strings fucking suck

  • ur crazy, they're the best out there

  • Sweet.

  • Awesome! I use D'addario strings. Great string company.

  • Thats what i use for my classical guitar. they are the best strings :)

  • Well, Best for the price.

  • I use ernie ball titaniums expensive though lol

  • wow !! awesome when it just winds the wire perfectly

  • I love daddarios

  • check out the copper spinning at 3:06 awesome!

  • who is this anouncer!!! i will not stand for it!

  • i wonder how they made them in the 18th century

  • small shreds of animal corpse maybe?

  • Yeah but they couldnt have done it as mechanically. So therefore it would have been more difficult.

  • the narrator is really annoying

  • i'd like to see how these were made before all the machines.

  • i think they were made of sheep's guts

  • great vid!

  • that intro was so stupid

  • At the end it reminds me of this: Have you ever watched the sun go down? And you're thinkin about the world spinnin round, have you ever been high as fuck? LOL

  • Meh.

  • thats what she said

  • lol.

  • hahaha

  • fail joke has failed

  • good going asshole
