@NotCroutons Thank you. I knew it was sounding weird, even to my own ears. I picked up that I was pronouncing it wrong, when I heard someone else down here talk to me about it.
I love the walk-over bridge at the beginning. beautiful architecture. oh i love going through those little shops when they have them here. and why are birds more beautiful overseas aside from the singing birds? I lived in ohio and kept running into geese on ze way to work everyday lol. eventually i said 'oh forget it and kept walking and kept getting hissed at by the geese. :p. Which, to my dismay, I eventually stepped in something and now I dnt like geese even more lol.
@urielwirthful I love the singing birds. it's so cool to hear them everywhere, because you don't hear them often. Also, a funny thing, I thought the birds I filmed were geese, too, but I learned from a local that they are actually black swans. :)
I don't mind geese as long as they stay far away from me. ;)
@blythe025 black swans? Hmm. Thought they were always white, swans. I love learning things about animals I never knew before. The most singing birds we have here can be heard in a countryside called Town of Algoma. It seems a lot of birds flock to that are because in the more 'city' areas, it's rare to see a bird flying except for seagulls. And I haven't had as many problems with Geese since I moved out of Ohio. In wisconsin, at least where i live, they dnt seem to congregate except at the beach
@urielwirthful I know that's what I thought, but apparently they are all black down here. When Aussies head up to the U.S. they are shocked to see that the swans are white. lol.
Hooray you made it to the beach! Andrea playing with pigeons, your such a child at heart :) I didn't know that pigeons migrated that far to be all the way in Melbourne. I know that there are some in Spain but that 's cool. The garden was lovely as well. Did you get any souvenirs yet? -Steven
@slylink690 I did buy one piece of artwork at the explanade market, which I thought was cool. Other than that, I'm not a big souvenir buyer. I tend to get myself one thing and leave the rest of my money for actually doing things while I'm on a trip. :)
In Australia Esplanade is pronounced differently. The 'ade' part is more like the sound in 'hard'. Not 'Aide' as in Lemonade.
