  • Imagine if the natives were the victorious ones and beat the Europians who took over america. The world would be such a peaceful place.. -sigh-

  • :-) wayra paz wayea amor :-)

  • May the spirits of ancestors protect all the native indians alive.

  • I have always like Ronnie James Dio's version of this song, but I like this one better.

  • the most beautiful video I have ever seen, thank you and travel wel Kola

  • The Native Americans are the most interesting culture, way of life I have ever come across, it is like the most mystical, ultimate hippy, nature oriented, free, spiritual, honorable, unity with all, etc, etc,,, I think I might have been a N American in a past life, because when I go camping I get lost in the nature and feel like I find a part of myself. I think we all need to go on our own vision quests, so that we can find what we all lost in this world, and bring it back

  • @Saffiros VERY BEAUTIFUL IMAGES

  • Great Spirit, I love Native Americans!!

  • Some of you look at the clip from opposite aspects. Yes, you are both right. Hope this is not insulting you.

  • Reverse psychology requires a motive opposite than the one being presented. If I really wanted you to listen to cheap pan flute music and write patronizing comments about Native Americans, but was telling you that you shouldn't in order to get you to do it just to spite me, that would be reverse psychology. But I really do think you are being offensive, and I really am telling you to stop. That's not reverse psychology. Maybe Coconino Community College has a logic course you can take.

  • butifal cool

  • It's YOU consumers of this crap that push identity crises onto Native American kids. They have the highest suicide rate of any group of people, and it's not because they yearn for the open plains of yesteryear. It's because all their lives, they have a contrived Pocahontas role shoved down their throats by people like YOU. Maybe one day you will meet a Native American (and not some white guy who brags about being 1/16). Try complimenting him on his ancestors. See how much he likes you then.

  • No, it's because their lands are gone.

Now they live in barren fields nothing like their true homes.

They are alcoholics (which they got from westerners) and their bodies are genetically predisposed to not being able to intake this substance.

They are statisically one of the poorest minorities in the US. Their health care is LITERALLY non existent.

    Their language is practically dead.

Their culture is almost gone, and you have the stupidity to say such things? How sad.

  • Because of their poor diets and alcoholic intake they are extemly susceptible to getting diabetes.

Their entire history for the last 200 years has been rot with disaster, and it's because of whites.

Those are some of the reasons why they have identity crisis, you truly are one of those innumerable fools who feigns reason and intelligence on Youtube while hiding behind your computer, trying to stir people. Go read history and learn about Native cultures before jumping into a discussion clueless.

  • They have suicides because of Native American Flute Music and Pocahontas? You are consistently misguided. You picked a wrong person to talk Natives with, I grew up in Flagstaff Arizona. Google it. It's about an hour away from the Navajo and Hopi reservation. I know more about Natives and their people than you could hope for. I took Navajo as a foreign language at Coconino Community College. If you compliment them on their ancestors, they are pleased. I know this first hand.

  • I'm 1/4 Dakota Sioux, numbnuts. I don't identify with it, but it gives me a little more exposure than a community college class would. If you can't understand how a panflute cover of a Scorpions song accompanied by wildly romanticized paintings of Native Americans with phrases like "Indian Love" is degrading, you simply can not be helped. Thanks for the 6th grade level summary of Native issues, though. Also, look up "reverse psychology." You may learn something about the terms you throw around.

  • Comment removed

  • Being 1/4 Dakota Sioux does not mean at all that you have more exposure than I do. I highly doubt it. As I told you, I grew up around 4 different types of Native Americans. You cannot compare your knowledge of Native history with mine. Taking Navajo at CCC is only one thing I did in my interest of Natives. Just by saying my summary is 6th grade also brings no validity to the attack. My knowledge far surpasses yours, as evident by what you say, and the 6th grade my miles.

  • Calling me numbnuts once again shows insecurity and immaturity. If you think that you are not instilling reverse psychology, then you are doing it by accident or you do not understand what it means. I throw the terms around because you are trying to say that we instill the degradation of Native culture because we enjoy Native themed music and focus on the positive aspects of their culture. This is elementary reverse psychology at best.

If you cannot understand how deeply wrong you are in your history, motives, and logic about Native culture, then there is no purpose for you to be helped or to talk at all. Your sheerly unfathomable misunderstanding of Natives and misplaced insecurities only further you from truth. This song is not a traditional native song, as you said, it's a native themed song from the Scorpions, with words that really bear no significance to traditional natives. But you miss the point entirely.

  • which is understandable given your stance on this entire situation. Natives are not like this anymore. As you said, this is a romanticized version of the historical cultures of the natives with native themed music. If this is offense, so is every historically themed movie and a many history books that tend to favor a positive shade from a culture. This video is fine, and your train of thought, of course, is invalid in it's entirety, as is your overly contemptuous train of thought.

  • Yes, the "noble savage" was invented by Westerners, and Native Americans had to play it up for economic wellbeing without other options. YOU keep it alive. YOU are the oppressor. When you listen to cheesy pan flute music and beat off to racist pictures of Indians with eagles on their shoulders, YOU are reducing a group of cultures to a cartoon that brings YOU comfort. It's spiritual pornography that's degrading to the human beings it depicts.

  • We only keep it alive because it has cultural and historical validity. Compared to any other culture, the native were down to earth, spiritual, and noble. Of course your reverse psychology bears no significance in this forum. No need to bring masturbation here. That is a picture, not a cartoon, and that is how the southwestern and midland indians absolutely were. Indeed also many of the eastern indians also. It isn't degrading because it's the truth; it's empowering to native cultures.

  • WE keep it alive because WE are not racist and know the truth and cede the positives to Native cultures. Surely you have better points than this sham.

  • You people who are fawning over Native Americans don't seem to realize that your comments are just as dehumanizing as those calling them savages or drunks. They are people, and they have always been just as greedy and violent as any other group of people, no matter what your Disney movies tell you. They don't exist to serve as cartoons you can compliment to feel better about yourselves, you self-righteous twits. They were lied to and mistreated by their conquerors, but they aren't magical.

  • @babyfacemoody historically and logically invalid. Native Americans were quite above the vast majority of cultures that have sprung forth in the world. They were immensely more environmentally aware and much more caring for animals than any other culture to date. Of course they killed animals to eat them, they're humans. The difference is they had an entire cultural ceremony to give thanks to the slain animal and offer it safe passage to wherever it's soul is going. and the list goes on...

  • @TimMegrelidze They prayed for their animals. So what? If ceremonies were everything, we'd be seen as faithful and studious because we have weddings and graduations. They still hunted several prehistoric mammals to extinction. They did horrible things to their enemies, and had they achieved the same technology Europeans had, they absolutely would have used it. They were forced to use the "noble savage" crap to their advantage after being conquered. I don't blame them. Go watch Avatar, cry baby.

  • Wrong Again on all accounts. Prayer is only ceremonious amongst anglo-saxon culture. Their prayer was not to a god, but to the unknown after life ceased and that their journey would be filled with safety and good fortune. They did this out of a sincerity for life that other cultures do not have. Wrong on the prehistoric mammals part too, Native Americans did not exist in prehistory, nor is there any historical evidence that they hunted a single animal to extinction.

  • They did do horrible things to their enemies, they are not devoid of human elements like the desire to wage war. You take ideas to the extreme to try and make them seem wrong, but it only makes you look unaware. They are humans, not perfect beings, they did many things wrong and unjust. But one reason their culture reigns morally and spiritually supreme in comparison to other cultures is that their savage actions were minimal, especially compared to the europeans.

  • If they had the same technology europeans had they would have used it? This is not the forum for metaphysics, no one knows that answer. All we know is that they didn't have it, and how their culture operates, it would be very easy to forward the claim that this wouldn't have happened. The "noble savage" crap you speak of is a creation by westerners due solely to the observations they saw in Native American culture. Natives themselves had nothing to do with it's inception.

  • Cry baby? Saying such outright uncontrolled claims only makes you look vulnerable and weak. Avatar? This is not the forum to speak of science fiction just because the movie bears a story similar to the Native Americans. Your statement conveys slight racism, whether you meant it or not. And for you to be inadvertently racist is only logical. The only reason why you speak at all is because you don't like the idea that people think Natives are somehow better than others, be it correct or not.

  • You don't know what "ceremonious" means. Gods? What? And your assertion that Native Americans didn't exist in prehistory displays an alarming misunderstanding of prehistory or Native Americans or both. 95% of North American megafauna died out around 13,000 years ago as Native Americans were spreading across the continent. The size and abundance of kill sites relative to kill sites discovered in other parts of the world suggests overhunting was a major factor in this mass extinction.

  • I'm Irish, Scottish and Welsh with some Cherokee - great mix! I went out to see the grand canyon, the best place to be in the US, and there were helpful Natives who helped my mom when she got a little lost on the road. I remember one of them who was a Navajo, told my mom "what you seek is to look beyond". Words of pure wisdom from a cousin culture to the Celts. As we Celts say,

    Air to fulfill you

    Fire to strengthen you

    Water to cleanse you

    Earth to sustain you

    Spirit to guide you

    Blessed Be! )0(

  • the only thing that makes me feel happy is knowing that the big white mans land was at one time shit on. lol bad jokel. Brule from mission

  • Just to look at that pic where the grand-father looks at hi´s grand-daughter (or what you called it) just says it all...It´s make me cry because i can resemble it by how happy they where...i can´t stop thinking what the world have looked alike if they still existet and we all lived like them...ok with some minor changes...oh wtf do i say?!...No changes at all!..just lived like them...They had it all!...happiness...proudness...and could nearly end all hatred with a pipe of weed and a good talk ^^

  • Nice... But around 3:41 there is a picture of one of Syro-Palestinian goddesses... Why? The distance between Northern America and Near East is considerable. ;c) On the other hand, who cares, he?

  • Ok, everything was perfect in this video until the refrain was played. It seriously ruined the song totally. It sounds out of pitch and way to staccato!!

This was potentially one of my new favourites, but sorry... (PS. The pictures was amazingly beautiful)

  • wonderful, i'm learning to play this flute..

where can i get the wallpapers of that video? will love to add some on my next video

  • Native Americans are awesome. They are at peace with the Earth, it's too bad whites took all the land for themselves and left them on small and arid land.

  • @TimMegrelidze I descend from the Iroquois tribe, and what you said is very ignorant. "whites" is a very broad term. Be specific in what you say, for there are many "whites."

  • @passedmelody "whites" is a very broad term only if you are trying to be politically correct. I wholeheartedly believe you know exactly what I mean when I say this. I am talking about the systematic massacres of the Native Americans by the whites - the caucasians that lived in continental America...but I don't need to tell you this, as I said, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Way to flame for no reason.

  • @TimMegrelidze look.. im not trying to diss an entire culture or anything.. but native americans aren't any better than other people.. theyre just a minority. I don't know if you've ever seen them in real life. Of course their culture is in threat and that's horrible. But they hunted, killed, chopped and did all that stuff too to damage the earth. They just have different habits which you think is 'awesome' . every culture has its habits :)

  • @dakduif i think he means when a shitty culture takes over a respectful culture and turns them into a shitty cultture. the natives didn't waste things like the people who later moved to america.. people thought about the generations that would come after them. it wasn't until white people traded native people alcohol and guns for tobacco and whatever they could scam outta them... now white people dont know when to stop smoking and native dont know when to stop drinking cause it not in our blood

  • @dakduif They are better than other cultures in some ways, and worse in others. Sure, they killed animals, but no before praying that their souls reached a safe resting point and gave thanks to the animal. They chopped the land and damaged the earth. The difference, and what makes Natives so much better in this respect that most other cultures, is that the level of destruction they put forth is nothing compared to the destruction of other cultures caused at the time. Industrial Revolution.

  • @TimMegrelidze yo im white and i think heaven is mother earth, i am also a hunter, fisherman and love to be in the woods even wen i dont shoot anything. i can see the delusion between society and nature. society is simply bullshit.

peace out and never stop loving.

  • @ParadiseDeepBlue hey i love fishing and being outside and explore mother earth i even like to go camping and hiking when i go fishing i don't bring any electronics except for a phone if some thing bad happens but any ways i always go fishing and whistle to this tune and every body asks me what you whistle about and i say i am whistling to my favorite song wind of change and then they join in sometimes while we fish and its kind of weird and funny at the same time hahaha i love this song!

  • @TimMegrelidze There are many peaceful people in the world. Native Americans, Aborigines and some Africans and all of them suffered under colonialism sadly. Then there are people who are both peaceful and aggressive like most of Asia (China, Japan, SE Asia, India) and the Pacific (Maori, etc.) so these cultures have at least managed to survive.

  • Fantastische muziek en mooie gekozen beelden

    Curt

  • I love the video's you post my dear friend Lotus...grt taste you have (((hugzzzzzzz)))) thx for sharing all you do ~pce

  • I have become a fan of the pan flute! This music is so relaxing! I will always love the American Indians and the hardships they endured. We took everything from them and gave them very little. It would have been much different if they had the guns and we had the bows and arrows. I pray that God will forgive us for taking thier lives and land.

Thank you very much my friend.

    *****

    Curt

    USA

  • That's not the point, Without streets & buildings..Earth should be heaven. We are building hell upon us.

  • ya i have a native american heritage

  • We as in the USA is being punished by God at this time. You shall reap what you sew and guess what its coming true. Hurricane Katrina wiped out New Orleans which is on one of the most sinful cities of America and they were punished by God. Whether people believe that or not, I don't know but I do. God will forgive us but there are always consequences.

  • It's nut jobs like you that are making this world such a bad place.

Spreading your hate like that makes you just as sinful and those who commit the crimes 3:<

    Bitch.

  • LOVE IT :)

  • The Native Americans are alive & well, i'd like to learn more about their cultures. I love the music & the artwork in this video!! Exquisite & Beautiful!!

  • It's so beautiful thank you for this video

  • The image at 1:13 is beautiful.

  • The American Indians didn't live in harmony, it was partly the warring groups that lead to the destruction of their lives. Warring groups helped the U.S army to defeat their traditional enemies, it was really only Sitting Bull that managed to pull all the Plains Indians together for the Last Stand. Apologies for the history lesson!

  • Thanks for the great video..... I love it

  • I love this beautiful music and the pictures are an added bonus! Thanks for posting.

  • I wouldn't say they all lived in harmony. There were still quite alot of fighting between different tribes.

  • I believe the native americans were the best sort og humans the world ever had. They did nothing wrong to the nature, and lived in harmoni. It is really terrible they are gone now (or almost)

  • I AGREE

  • @TheJoeMoe92 They did have constant wars with each other. The Algonquins and the Iroquois hated each other.

  • @kittyhello4 yea but they could have lived like that for a 100 000 years and the earth would be fine

  • @kia4now but no one(almost) live like that today...lets think HOW to live LIKE WE LIVE TODAY AND HELP THE PLANET instead of just diggin the history and remembering things and see how the DID....lets think more about whare are we GONNA do...if ya kno' wha i mean ;):)):))btw im not a native(not even american) i just love my planet and this beautiful musci

  • @TheJoeMoe92 i don´t know so much about the native americans...but one thing i really have to respect them for was that they only kill´d what they needed...Never did they kill just because they could...they kill´ed to urvive and to get cloth and anything els usefull and they did never just throw something out...if it could be use´d just to alittle thing then they did recycle it...bones for weapons to hunt and others stuff...Truly amazing how they could survive just by some small objects.. ^^

  • still nice pictures

  • Beautiful. Thanks
