Wow, I haven't heard this in at least 20 years, but it still sounds fresh as it did back then. I need a turntable so I can listen to my vinyl copy of this again!
nuossa....a melhor lembrança que tenho da minha vida...amooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Amazing that they used to section 25 along when they played in support of Joy Division and the whole Kenneth Grant, OTyphonionO, Manchester Beatles' Murder Group Whore thing, let alone the number of people who died in the course of what was in fact supported by British Regular Army forces, or so I hear; but then, one could gorge on rumours.
ehhhh madame sata ...é uma pena que o escroto do mauricio penteado esteja vivo ainda ...sempre falei e repito morreu o mauricio errado ..pois este canalha que esta vivo acabou com a noite underground de são paulo .
I bought this album when it came out! Thank you for this post because people should remember that the 80's actually produced some really cool music! Forget the pop crap of this era...section 25 was actually cool...then and now!

This song is so simple yet so effective in the sense that it penetrates deep inside my unconscious mind igniting all sort of complex feelings and thoughts that eventually will turn ordinary once the song ends; so I'll have to play it all over again until my inner voice subsides and mundane obligations retrieve me again from the PC... Inspiration tun tu run tun tu run tun ...
Oh my Gooooood!!!!!!!!!!!! This song is brilliant! How long since the last time when I had listened to this song. I remember listening to this song during a Skateboarding championship here in Brazil on the end of 80's. Fantastic! It brings me wonderful memories.
that's the feeling i had when i found this. had always been head over heels everytime I'd hear this song back in the 80's here in São Paulo, Brazil, at an underground club called "madame Satã", at that time the dj had told me the name of the group was " session25", had been searching high and low for it since then, obviously never to find .
now, bam!!
THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS, YOU MADE ME YOUNG AGAIN!!!
was pissed out my head tother night,...ended up seeing dannys message and startedrecording ME singing a stockholm monsters track,..didn`t realise i`de posted it untill 2 day it ended up on some mountain goat site ,,,,try checking it out b4 i work out how 2 delete the fufin thing
Nation, Kriw, Calabar, Tamatete, Star Music, Up & Down, e assim por diante!
Mas nao posso deixar de lembrar da US Beef & Rock q apesar de nao ter nada a ver com esse som, eu fazia questao de tocar nos inicios de noite! Toquei lá nos anos 90.
Im sorry but we have come a long way since these days, you can defo hear that human feel with the timing of the instruments, thank fuck for the over quantize feature you get on sequencing programs these days.
its funny i feel almost opposite. its that human quality that gives it so much character. theres so much great music from this time that i feel we need to revisit. i personally wouldnt assume we're in a much better state production wise. the gear quality and accessibility has gotten better but on the flip side theres tons of copy cats and everything is overcompressed (just two quick examples).
thats just my opinion though, its how i like my drum n bass too. i like to hear the fun and spontaneity that comes with making music as opposed to the now common musician/engineer thing, which imo falls heavily on the engineering side. kids making "the perfect snare" but never finishing a track. etc
Yeah, I could produce a song better than this in 2 hrs with FL6, but you have to appreciate the early stuff for the effort these guys put into it, so much more work to get this sound
My friend said once to me that the first time she went to a motel back in the 80's that was the song her boyfriend put on the stereo before they get more 'intimate'... I just have a grin on the face imagining it...
schist. I used to play this as a dj 24 years ago. It sounds OK now, but it sounded cooler then. still I enjoy hearing it again. I heaven't pulled that piece of vynl in 20 + years.
I caught their tour supporting this LP in NY in Dec. 1981, and I've had all of their released "vinyl" in one form or another since 1980. You & me both sonambo. Whatever happened to Stockholm Monsters, their erstwhile perpertual opening act?
Bought this in 1981 or 82. As a dj, it influenced my taste in music for years to come. Factory Records for life. JD, NO, and all things in between. This track has always been a soundtrack to my thoughts. Who knew..?
