  • Hi Jeroen, Many thanks for putting up this instructional video. I have been playing for over forty years. I have mostly been a strummer to accompany my singing. I started taking flatpicking lessons about 6 weeks ago and am really enjoying and learning lot. I am, however, also interested in learning fingerstyle. I started tonight and spent about an hour on this first lesson. Its going great and faster than I would have imagined. Hope I dont mess myself up by doing both, but , Im gonna try

  • @ltatch Hi, thank you very much for your kind mail! I know what you mean I also like to play different styles one at a time :) But it won't get boring that soon :)

    Cheers Jeroen

  • Jeroen, I have a question: why use the middle finger instead of the ring finger for the 6th string?

  • Hi , it's possible to play it with your ring finger But it is more common in this style to play it with the middle finger. In classical style it's used more often to play with the ring finger. Cheers Jeroen

  • clear lesson, thanks jeroen

  • You make it all very clear Jeroen, there will be many happy fingerpickers out there who owe you a big debt, these tutorials are perfect and very much appreciated.

  • Hi thanks! It's a shure mic. Greetings Jeroen
