I recommend the Rolex GMT II/Explorer II or the Grand Seiko SBGE001 (I prefer the GS with its bezel lume). There's loads of other instruments in virtually any cockpit spewing data, you don't need an E6B on your wrist. However, if you want to tell the world that YOU JUST GOT YOUR PILOT LICENSE, this is the watch to have.

@astumpe80 Navitimer models always have an old-fashioned look. This is deliberate. Check out the models in the aeromarine, professional, and windrider lines. They all have dedicated end links on them...
Nice vid, I really would like this watch but the price tag is huge. So for now, I have the Rotary Chronograph with the Sterling Bracelet. It's the closest thing to this watch, they both look remarkably the same, they both have Chronospeed Meters and they are both beautifully built. But the Rotary's very cheap costing around £100 or $180.

@aiva56 I know Breitling watches VERY well, Navitimer and Datora are not two different models. Navitimer is a LINE of watches, the Montbrillant Datora is a model in the Navitimer line. Please go research more on the Breitling website, the information is there.

@yamahonkawazuki Breitling has Navitimers in two sizes that are smaller than this. The regular Navitimer which is 41.5mm and the Montbrillant which is 38mm. Those should be fine for you if you find this one too big.

@yamahonkawazuki Rolexes range from 36mm to 43mm with the most popular models at 40mm so I'm not sure what you mean by Rolex size. However, Rolex 40mm watches wear close to the size of Breitling 42mm watches so its not a good indicator. If you are going by size measurements only I would highly recommend you go to a store and try them on and decide.

This same caliber is used by Omega speedmaster models. This model is far more expensive than the Omega but offers no aditional functionality. Neither the quality of it's materials is better than the Omega. Why pay X2 for the same quality?

If you dont see the difference between a replica and a genuine watch, you are just ignorant. A replica will sooner rather than later be damaged, because the quality isnt that good. so far this seems to be well into the $100K watch obsession with you. I really do like the breitling piece, some of the most stylish and elegant watches in the market. Not too flashy and not to quiet either, just right. I wouldn't spend over $1000 for a watch. You can feed a family for 2 months with that money.

I was recently hired by Breitling after I passed a benchtest on this particular movement. :-) The calendar and moonphase are quite tricky to get exactly right. Glad there's at least someone on YT who reviews real B's!

Hi,
I can get a Datora for around $4500USD brand new or I can get an Olympus for the same price. Both have steel bracelets. What, in your opinion, is the better option?

This video is quite suspicious and questionable, not sure what the true intentions were?
Shown is a Datora Montbrillant with an Asian 7751 copy movement. These replicas can not be had for less than $200, even IN China!
The author fails to show ANY of the built-in features, ie. date/month switches, E6B rotation, complete chrono function, moving 24hr hand ect.
I suspect that hardly anything will operate to spec on these Asian imitations, and definitely not for $70 as claimed.

@breitlingsource What I mean is when I watch the breitlin models site on internet cause breitling has many models emergency, navitimer etcetc and datora and navitmer are two diffrent models I dont find them both in a model, this watch you show is breitling montrillant not datora datora is a diffrent modell

@aiva56 I know Breitling watches VERY well, Navitimer and Datora are not two different models. Navitimer is a LINE of watches, the Montbrillant Datora is a model in the Navitimer line. Please go research more on the Breitling website, the information is there.

I wanna buy a nice watch for my 30 years birthday in one year and I wanted the rolex submariner modell 16613 but they dont make it any more (since six months) and I adore breitling emergency for months now, I think I need a big nice watch as this one you show on the screen a big nice and shiny watch that shows off.. is this watch always so shonny or not? cause I like it

@yamahonkawazuki Breitling has Navitimers in two sizes that are smaller than this. The regular Navitimer which is 41.5mm and the Montbrillant which is 38mm. Those should be fine for you if you find this one too big.

@breitlingsource was thinking around 38mm. closer to a rolex size. which fits me like a perfect glove. not too small, yet not too large either. i do like that one with the beacon on it. but it is too large imho. im a gadget freak lol. breitling makes some kickarse looking timepieces. btw do you sell or are you a reviewer?

@yamahonkawazuki Rolexes range from 36mm to 43mm with the most popular models at 40mm so I'm not sure what you mean by Rolex size. However, Rolex 40mm watches wear close to the size of Breitling 42mm watches so its not a good indicator. If you are going by size measurements only I would highly recommend you go to a store and try them on and decide.

@breitlingsource well sorry lol i meant by "rolex size"being like say a submariner, or a president. have a good friend that has a president. no diamonds or anythign on it. just gold. he alloweed me to wear it for several hours. i didnt even have to ask. that is one watch that honestly i wont buy. NOTHING at all against it. far from it. but it broadcasts to anybody with eyes that its wearer has money. or has accomplished his ( or her) goals in life. id rather be more subdued

This Breitling has the ETA 7751 caliber.
This same caliber is used by Omega speedmaster models. This model is far more expensive than the Omega but offers no aditional functionality. Neither the quality of it's materials is better than the Omega. Why pay X2 for the same quality?

No additional functionality? How about the fact that this watch has a full calendar and a slide rule bezel? Don't get me wrong, I love the Speedmaster, but saying it offers no additonal functionality is a stupid thing to say.

From your comment it's obvious you understand nothing about watches and movements. The Omega Speed master day/date also has a full calendar and uses the same ETA 7751. You should be an IDIOT to pay an extra $2,000 for a useless slide rule bezel. When was the last time you used a slide rule? You are really stupid!

Geez, you don't have to spazz out at me for no reason. When I hear Speedmaster I asume you are talking about the original, the model with just chronograph, I didn't realise you meant the day/date model. I'm sorry I missunderstood you, but you don't immediatly have to go to insults for no reason.

If I had many valuable possessions, I'd be careful about showing them off. In all my years, I've learned that nobody likes a bragger, and they eventually get hurt/have things stolen from them. I see it all the time in the news. I do have some good watches that I would NEVER wear in certain places/areas. All it takes is one time and individual. BTW, I'm not your buddy.

To those curious about the affordability. There have been a number of substantial multi-million dollar lottery winners over the years. If you net $80 million in a lottery, $6000 watches are peanuts.

All the videos posted are of watches I own or have owned in the past. I do not have family in the business, if i did I would be posting a lot more videos! I don't post retail pricing because it has changed so much in the last couple years that it would be inaccurate.

If you dont see the difference between a replica and a genuine watch, you are just ignorant. A replica will sooner rather than later be damaged, because the quality isnt that good. Thats just how it is. If you want to buy three replicas instead of one genuine over some time, then replicas are perfect for you.

so far this seems to be well into the $100K watch obsession with you. I really do like the breitling piece, some of the most stylish and elegant watches in the market. Not too flashy and not to quiet either, just right. I wouldn't spend over $1000 for a watch. You can feed a family for 2 months with that money.

I was recently hired by Breitling after I passed a benchtest on this particular movement. :-) The calendar and moonphase are quite tricky to get exactly right. Glad there's at least someone on YT who reviews real B's!
