How is there not parity for women in politics now? It sure sounds as if you are looking for parity in outcome as opposed to parity in opportunity, which clearly exists. Who is the leading contender to be the democratic candidate for the white house? Who is the speaker of the house? Who is the current secretary of state? This is a representative democracy. Anyone who wants to run can, regardless of race, gender or creed. Stop whining and go sign up to run for something.
