The SEC leads the nation in DB's, LB's, DE's, DT's, RB's, and WR's drafted the last 20 years. The PAC 10 leads in QB's and TE's drafted the last 20 years, while the Big 10 carries the mantle for most OL drafted in that time span. Not to mention the SEC has won 3 of the last 4 NC and just received a 2.2 billion television deal.

georgia and auburn are not good this year period. ole miss was overrated to start the year and wound up loosing to miss. state. and when miami played lsu i dont think they were as good as they were now. i know miami now is not exactlly 'good' but they are better at least. WF could pull of some occational victorys in the sec but not win alot. (I was just joking when i said WF, haha lol they suck, but not as bad as Maryland which Clemson lost to due to a bad game with TCU lol)

Miami and Florida State have been non-factors recently, where Virgnia Tech has consistently been solid in the polls. Besides VT and the gimicky GT, the ACC is all but dust.

USC is bad. The only reason they win is because all the good teams are in good conferences and it's hard to win out in a good conference unlike USC who makes it to the top 3 every year. i don't know if i totally agree with your point about the acc's D compared to the sec, but this is a good video and i do think the acc is a bit underrated right now on a national scale. i remember watching nc state have one of the best defenses around for a couple years back when they had mario williams. i know it's not defense, but i wish you would have thrown in that greg jones hit on dexter reid!

I hate to burst your bubble...but the SEC is the Defensive conference. lets recap...USC dropped 50+ on virginia, Bama dropped 30+ on a clemson that was supposed to be the best of the ACC, and in 2007 LSU thumped VT with i beleive 40+. that doesn't scream great defense, it screams "help us we need a defense." Most SEC defenders go late in draft b/c were fast and undersized, where as ACC is fat and slow. you should brag on the ACC, in my opinion there the 7th best conference.

i'm not going to bust your chops about the acc sucking because the acc does have some elite talent...they just don't have as much as the SEC. Look at recruiting and the SEC lands the best classes year in and out. The only way the ACC can be a top 3 conference again is for miami and florida state to return to being top 15 teams again. until that happens virginia tech will continue to dominate the acc as a top 20 type program.

crunch these numbers..the SEC has had more draft picks than any conference the last 20 years. The SEC has had the most first round picks the last 20 years. The SEC leads the nation in DB's, LB's, DE's, DT's, RB's, and WR's drafted the last 20 years. The PAC 10 leads in QB's and TE's drafted the last 20 years, while the Big 10 carries the mantle for most OL drafted in that time span. Not to mention the SEC has won 3 of the last 4 NC and just received a 2.2 billion television deal.
