  • Forging elite fitness?

It's interesting how more and more individuals who are visiting orthopedics and physiotherapists for physical injuries label themselves a crossfitter.

  • Crossfit is gay

  • Did the crossfit guys do the workout after training for 4hrs. already?

  • to all the crosfitters, remember that we are specialist on no specializing. maybe we can do a better time in "cindy" or "annie" or any WOD... but what if this guys put into a filed, can we take a big hit?... no, can we run 90 yards with angry dog biting our ass? or can we do a single round agains a heavyweight? no. but like khlipa says... WE CAN DO STUFF, that is all about, besides... we got tons of fun!! enjoy it! blessings!

  • @supremacy1 what are you talking about in your response to @uchibanuchi ?? This is how we know we are talking to an idiot.

And to you other comments: vertical jump, balance, coordination ??? Have you watche the NFL???? Haha you have to be kidding.

My point is: I respect crossfit, it is useful for MetCon, and far better than any globo gym style training. But for elite sport training it simply does not focus on the quality, rested movements to rival football, sprinting style training for athletes.

  • @joearini @IskurBlast I am an ex D1 football player, four years at Nmsu. Most CROSSFIT gyms have sleds. TOMMY HACKENBRUCK that won the CROSSFIT regionalism was a linebacker at the U of U. World record box cincois held by Ryan Moody out of Crossfit 801. Tennessee Tech runs CROSSFIT, so do the marlins, so does Knowshon Moreno(broncos) nate Jones(dolphins) ron mclendon Matt Jones( cardinals) Anthony fasano( dolphins) Charles Barkley.. oh B.j. Penn who else.. Ocho cinco I can keep going

  • The 2 football players could smoke the crossfitters in any useful athletic test: Vertical jump, quickness and agility, 40 m sprint, max lift on probably any lift... and they get paid to be extremely powerful, fast and agile- why would a comparison to 2 crossfitters matter..

The average top crossfitter can barely sprint watch their clumsy mechanics reinforced by constantly training at suboptimal rests which have blunted any explosivity

Crossfit > globo gym for sure, but for a serious athlete? NO

  • @joearini haha you have no cdid dude. And what is an average top crossfitter you oxymoron. Look up rich froning or rob Orlando and then read your post again. I hope you laugh as hard as I did.

  • @joearini vertical jump coordination and balance .... I was being sarcastic. Sarcasm is when you say something but actually mean the opposite.

  • Comment removed

  • no reps like a mawfugga!

  • who the hell is leroy?

  • now go 3 rounds of boxing with the first two dudes!

  • @uchibanuchi @uchibanuchi what you mean the 2 black guys on there hands and knees at the end. I would have wore them out made them bite the curb put a gun in your mouth and pulled the trigger.

  • @suprimacy1 yes you're sooo right! football players need endurance like this workout and not explosive, powerful movements lasting only a few seconds. what was i thinking? why would football players train to be explosive when they could train to do 4 rounds of crossfit? im pretty sure sprinters know how to jog but still couldn't complete a marathon because they train different energy systems and muscle fiber typings are different. go do some CF now faggot

  • @suprimacy1

I'm pretty sure you would wear out during any football practice. I could have you gassed in just a few minutes on the sled.

  • @IskurBlast I am an ex D1 football player, four years at Nmsu. Most CROSSFIT gyms have sleds. TOMMY HACKENBRUCK that won the CROSSFIT regionalism was a linebacker at the U of U. • Yep crossfitter is good at crossfit...

Now lets toss the crossfitter into a match of any professional sport and see who does better.

  • Crossfitters are great at Crossfit. Captain obvious.

  • Crossfit is perfect for people that want to be in good shape for everyday life.

You know, playing with the kids, climbing onto the roof to get the lost ball, pushing the car to the side of the road if it breaks down, playing local league sports of any kind, wrestling off that drunken bum that just has to start a fight, digging over the garden for the wife, carrying your shopping from the car in one trip and my personal favourite, getting out of the pool without looking like a walrus.

    I love it

  • this video proves nothing more than the fact that the 2 pro's under estimated the workout. Yeah, its true crossfit workouts are tough and its part of the reason that some people like them so much. I do them at my local globogym and love the fact that I'm the only fool gasping for air. The fact is I couldn't give a monkeys about being an athlete anymore, that ship has sailed a long time a go.

  • This is stupid. Are there any Crossfit people that hold any records of athleticism of any kind? Like a long jumping? Snatch? Clean n' Jerk? Speed Skating? Probably not.

I know these idiots like to tout their "Oly Lifting", as the tools so call it. Put one of these douchebags up against an Olympic Weightlifter and see what happens. I'll tell you what'll happen, first the Olympian will laugh at the Cross-shitters atrocious form, then he will out lift by probably close to double the weight.

  • @HeftyNuts wat have u done? u been in the olympics? they probly cant beat someone at there own sport that they train everyday but put them in another sport aganst a different athlete theyll destroy them and not to mention that they r in better shape than me and u put together

  • @compaq89ful I've done ur mom :). However, I am not the topic of discussion and regardless of what I have or haven't done, I don't go around with a huge ego telling everyone I'm the best at it.

  • @HeftyNuts thats sick im your dad that would mean thats your grandma lil incest and when did they go around and say there the best they dont train for sports or records they train for fittnes dumbass just cuz your in great shape doesnt mean they can break records in sports they never done and pro athletes use cross fit dumbass

  • @compaq89ful Wow I'm impressed. Was that a sentence? Or just a bunch of random words stuck together? It's incomprehensible, so you must be either a foreigner or an American under the age of 25. Assuming the "89" in your name means you were born in 1989, I'm going to go with the latter. That and a foreigner's English literary skills are likely to be far better anyways.

  • @HeftyNuts nope not 89 and your the dumbass who has ADD

  • @HeftyNuts nope not 89 and your the dumbass who has ADD i mean we were talkin about crossfit and then you made a whole paragraph about grammer what a great insult u really put salt in the wound dumbass and if your over 25 talkin shit on youtube then there is something wrong with u im 16

  • @HeftyNuts and then the Crossfitter will fuck him up in a 5k, sprint, vertical jump, anything with body weight, agility, metabolic conditioning, coordination, balance, cardio respiratory, stamina, fucking, etc. Good thing that Olympic lifter was good at one thing.

  • @suprimacy1

You've got to be joking Oly lifters have some of the best sprint, and vertical jumps recorded of any type of athlete. Crossfitters in the mean time are usually slow sprinters, and their Oly lifts are bested by 100lb girls in China.

  • @HeftyNuts they hold records in there sport. Along with the world record box jump and momentum jump. As well as most chest to bar pull ups in a minute.. 106. What records does Michael jordan hold outside his sport, emmitsmith, Nolan Ryan?, Wayne Gretzky. Crossfit is the sport of fitness. They are good at a b road general all inclusive fitness. That's what they like is to be good at a lot not just a specialist of one area.

  • So when are crossfitters going to set all the NFL combine records.

While a lot of this is bullshit because the body becomes more efficient at doing the same tasks. The big tell in this video is that the athletes did the exercise after 4 hours of exercise. I almost drown once as a young kid when I went swimming after a 3 hour practice so this bullshit video really means jack shit.

  • Pro athlete wins

  • This is retardation at its worst.

A jack-of-all-trades walks onto a building site and tells a carpenter "hey you may be good on the circular saw, but I can weld these copper pipes better than you can."

You think the carpenter gives a shit? NO. Why? Because hes a fucking carpenter! Welding pipes is for the likes of plumbers and the sort.

How stupid can you crossfit dipshits get? No one gives an ass what you can do, we specialise for our own reasons now shut the fuck up about CULTfit already.

  • So i guess the moral of this story is: if you wanna be good at crossfit then you should train for crossfit, or if you wanna make millions as a boxer for nfl player then train for those sports. Apples to oranges.

  • Comment removed

  • This is why I fucking despise crossfitters. You put a crossfitter on a football field and they will fail. So crossfitters lug around mediocre weight for time and you are better than a real NFL athlete? Get the fuck out of here. I can create a workout that will make any man tired, but if I had been training in that workout for longer than the other people trying it, then I will perform better. This is basic knowledge. C+J for time? GTFO!

  • @tryandlike why don't you just do what you're username says...try Crossfit, like it, then GTFO!

  • @tryandlike Here is the thing, you do not TRAIN for a 'CrossFit' work out as a CrossFitter, it is all about mussel confusion which is quite the opposite of training for one set thing. In CrossFit you will do work outs that you will NEVER DO AGAIN and ones you will do every few months and even some that are semi-often. Do not speak so negatively about something when you seem to have the wrong idea what it and the people involved are all about.

  • @katrinalol do you mean muscle?

  • @katrinalol The exercises are essentially the same. What changes is how you combine them into a circuit. Burpees, ruck runs, kipping pullups, kettle bell, snatch, c+j, pushups, etc. It is a fad that will come and go -- trust me.

  • @tryandlike

You evidently have never done crossfit, because you left out throwing a ball for distance and accuracy, swimming, driving a spike into the ground with a sledge hammer, running/rowing (distance and shorter intervals), gymnastic movements.... was that what you meant by "etc". You have no idea what you're talking about. And, if you didn't see the Games on ESPN last year, maybe you should watch this year. This is no passing fad.

  • now let's put the 2 cf'ers in the boxing ring and on the football field and see who the better athlete is...

  • did they train for four hours prior to their crossfit workout?

  • everyone in this video did the box jumps completely wrong, your supposed to explode when you hit the ground and jump back up not sit and wait then jump. your not gaining anything that way

  • whoa whoa whoa, soooo the first two have 4 hours of training in the day under their belt, but the next two are just doing their daily workout? why not put the second two through the same workout then have them do the crossfit thing too?

  • @JesseJaymzSon

Because then they might lose and that would hurt the corssfit cults image. Glassman keeps the cult going by convincing them that they are the best athletes in the world.

  • easy for a cross fitter to look great in his own environment. have these clowns step foot in a boxing ring or a football field where these guys are elite athletes. stupid, stupid, and more stupid thoughts coming from the crossfit community.

  • what a stupid video

crossfit makes you good at crossfit so what

  • People People People! Whats the deal! CrossFit is not about who is the strongest or fastest! It's about work capacity, which is ultimately fitness! They are not measuring who will win a boxing fight or a specific sport. They are measuring how much work an athlete can do in a certain, distance and load, over a certain time. This is true to fitness. Just because I can bench press 500lbs does not mean I am fit. I must not sacrifice one component of fitness for another.

  • I love crossfit. Crossfit = every type of lifting thats useful. Oh and just because its high intensity doesn't mean we dont do heavy days. My dead lift has gone from 185 to 355 in one year, cleans from 135 to 225, overhead squat 115 to 205. And i weigh a perfect 185 and people often think I weigh more because its all muscle. Dont hate crossfit cause it works, and dont think all crossfitters are all high and mighty. There are strict power lifters and strength trainers that are pompous idiots too.

  • VFF's :)

  • give the pro athletes a few weeks of crossfit and watch them tear crossfitters to shreds, how could you compare the two? A first workout compared to guys who probably did the workout several times before...

  • @lunchead Tennessee tech foot ball program does strict crossfit. Not one player can touch rich froning who A. Trains them and B. Is last years CROSSFIT games winner. Alot of crossfittersare ex athletes including football players but the moral of the story is CROSSFIT is pretty awesome!

  • i laugh at crossfitters- just a bunch of people who think they are tough because they go to the gym

  • Crossfitters dont need a gym! havent you educated yourself about their program yet?

  • Regardless of the fact that the crossfitters didn't have 4 hours of boxing or football practice earlier that day, Crossfitters are still NOT athletes. They are people who go to the gym and work out. Good on the athletes for doing a tough workout after their practice. That kind of drive will take them farther. Crossfit will help them take their already well developed athletic ability to the next level.

  • @joenobody13 so people who do endurance races, cycling, mma, and o-races aren't athletes? About 70 percent of the people that go to my gym do these but you can rant on if it makes you feel superior. I will not reply.

  • @livinadream12 Obviously you don't know what an athlete is, so that makes me feel superior already. Crossfit is not a sport. Crossfit is a gym. A gym goer is not an athlete. If you do a sport outside of crossfit then you are an athlete. Use some common sense before you make a snotty reply. Duhr.

  • @joenobody13 your smug attitude is why crossfitters are hated.

  • @Popeye317 I don't even think you know what you're talking about.

  • Crossfit games is on ESPN. Sponsored by Reebok and has a 250,000 dollar purse@joenobody13 where the fuck have you been.

  • @suprimacy1 So they organized a good promotional event. It doesn't make it a sport.

I've read some of your posts and I don't know if crossfit would really want to be represented by a racist like you.

  • NO 1'S METHODOLOGY REIGNS SUPREME.Im so sick of ppl acting like their way is the best.Bodybuilder,Powerlifter,Crossfitter, sport specific-WHOEVER.They ALL have flaws which is why the best of any one of those has to use something borrowed from another platform to BE the best. Why do you think Crossfitters are clamoring for Louie Simmons&Mark Bell to teach them strength&power while strength&power guys are running to Crossfit for metcon! Everyone Respect ALL forms&stop being braggadocious blowhards.

  • @wisdometernal you sir belong to be in heaven looking down on all of us(of course only if you believe in that type of thing)

  • @wisdometernal blowhards, that's a good one. I like it.

  • This is the first time they ever tried crossfit. How long has the white guys been doing this same routine. Just because I can beat their time means nothing. What a joke to put this on. What losers.

  • Not to take anything away from crossfitters, but even though crossfit is all about non-routine, all of these exercises, as well as the idea of quick pacing between exercises, is a routine. If a cross-fit workout emphasizes rapid succession routines, then of course the cross fit guys are in better shape than other athletes. I bet the first guys are much stronger as well as having more explosive power for sprints and things. These are more important to athletes than avg joes.

  • @shoemoodoshaloo You need to undestand what crossfit is all about. Its about work capacity and not simply running fast for short amounts of time.

  • this is BS. I doubt these guys did the 4 hr previous workout.

  • lol x-fitters are like 150lbs compared to AT LEAST 205lb heavyweight boxers.

  • who woulda thought crossfitters would be better at crossfit than non crossfitters? i challenge all sprinters to run a marathon against a marathoner.....WHAT BITCH

  • @WanderleiCornell I fucking love crossfit but I agree with you dude this is a bit stupid. Fantastic workout though.

  • @WanderleiCornell pretty sure those four basic moves are in football players training day in day out. Pull up. Burpee. Thruster. Run. Reeeeally tricky.

  • crossfit is a reallly great wy to get in top condition.but you still have to master a certain sport or you will jut be really good at running around and picking up things???? sorry had to state the obvious

  • Ok, so the crossfitters won against football players at crossfit. Quantify the margin of victory, and then have them play football. See which margin of victory is bigger.

  • @LayEmOut60 Ok, now I realize only one played football, but they both have boxing experience. Have them box instead. Lol! I don't think I need to continue.

  • did anyone notice how ripped the 2 "pro athletes" were compared to the crossfit guys? id rather look like them any day, idc if they "lost' by 5 minutes

  • These comments make me laugh so hard. These people haven't tried it, yet feel an incredible need to insult practitioners merely because they are afraid. I've invited many naysayers to work out with me, and they ramble something ridiculous and leave in a huff. Look, folks, it works. If you feel comfortable in your current routine, great! You're doing something at least. One day when you build up the courage you'll try it. Good luck!

  • @shannon1664 Crossfit is a joke. Why would you pay money to do lifts with horrible form that will render you bedridden by the time your fifty? Yeah, crossfit lol.

  • @Popeye317 I'm 46 and have had no injuries at all, so there goes that theory. Again the insults without trying it. I feel sorry for you, letting fear own you like that. Hope you get better, and good luck to you.

  • Comment removed

  • @shannon1664

i was thinking about starting up crossfit actually. do you recommend it? i hear they can throw softballs REALLY far. i mean, if that's not a measure of true fitness, what is?

  • @shannon1664 - If crossfit is all a person does to stay in shape and they can do so without getting injured, more power to them. I'm 45 and have played ice hockey for over 20 years. I've broken both ankles, torn knee ligaments, and have tears in both shoulders and I'm still playing hockey at a fairly competitive level. I've done several WOD on and off as a part of my weight training routine and have found that the poor form emphasized by x-fit is only exaggerated when you have existing injuries.

  • @shannon1664 Perhaps the last poster was a bit insulting but he does raise a valid point. I don't think x-fit is a joke and the overall principles of Hiit should be mixed into any program (I think many pro athletes are finding this out now) and I think x-fit is a great way to just stay in shape. It's not the ultimate routine any more so than any other program. Someone said they'd like to see the x-fit guys go out and do 4 hours of training for boxing prior - I think it's a valid challenge.

  • @yatman67 Oh, I do as well. I'm responding to the insults, because some folks are afraid. They see what's coming. I was a tactical team member doing mostly push/pull/legs, and my fellow trainer was a competing body builder, so we came from two completely different training regimens, and we are BOTH in better shape, stronger, no injuries, but when we try to tell people how well it works they start with the insults. I must admit it gets a tad frustrating. Thanks for the post.

  • @Popeye317 Crossfit trainers instruct proper technique and form to perform the lifts. You need to educate yourself about this stuff first before you make coments. I am a CSCS through the NSCA, and according to research and training, Crossfits methodology is sound.

  • @gerardbrennen You should do a bit more research about crossfit to go along with that cscs qualification. Sure there are a few people that are doing it right and seeing great results and what not, but thats the shit of it. its hated so much because you dont have to have any qualification to be an instructor. as a result, the majority of the crossfit community does these ridiculous exercises with the worst form imaginable. you as a nsca cscs should be very concerned about that.

  • @Popeye317 Indeed, but you also know that most Personal training certifications dont need anything higher than a high school education. I have been training my clients using this crossfit method for years before they came to light. It's a sound method. But you are right, there are a bunch of people who dont know what the hell they are doing, making CrossFit look silly.

  • @Popeye317 As a CSCS, I am concerned about the majority of people not doing functional exercises. CrossFit's method is all about functional movement and HIT! This is sound. This goes hand in hand with CSCS. The problem with new ideas, is that people criticize things they dont understand and are afraid to experience it for fear of finding out it discredits anything they believed and were taught. The fact and the matter is, CrossFit method has been there all the while! They have a name now.!

  • What a joke. Keep blowing smoke up your own ass.

  • I've done some crossfit workouts and it truly is challenging. I really don't know why there are so many rants other than the two 'teams' might not have had equal rest. If you haven't tried a crossfit workout, I recommend it. It really will reveal to you how much you can do

  • @grapplerbro Crossfitters = Jack of ALL trades Masters of NONE.

  • @xAznnique athletes like this equal masters at one thing aaaaaaand....blow dick at everything else

  • @MrSupasexi which is?

  • @ckatech huh?

  • hOw Much did crossfit pay these guys to suck???? don't care if they've never done crossfit....they should be almost as good as any crossfit guys even if it's their first workout...and would be better then most crossfit guys very quickly....

  • @grapplerbro Certainly not, all elite athletes require strong minds, depending on the sport or position of the player in that particular sport an elite athlete must be very strong or extremely fast. Crossfitters are good at CF events because that is what they specifically train for. Lets see a crossfitter get in the ring with the guy training to be a boxing, he would kill them, or run a competitive ultra marathon, i doubt they could finish. It useless comparing athletes like this.

  • PS. QUIT BEING ELITIST'S and just learn to learn from other people!

  • Crossfitters:

This video is shit, those two CrossFitter's are in no way comparable to the athletic level of the pro's, its a shame to even see that comparison. If CrossFit is everything, then sport is part of CrossFit, why would you put down pro athletes? This video is a huge misrepresentation.

    CrossFit Haters:

Get your head out of your asses and see it for what it really is, you're all amateurs, talk to a pro athlete about CrossFit. They all Love what CrossFit brings to their sport.

  • The only good thing about crossfit is the ladies that's doing it. Seriously guys grow a beard and learn to squat some serious weight instead of humping air or as you call it '' kipping pull ups''

  • @Down2Skip ill give u 100$ if u can finish a Eva in <50:00 min with strict pull ups

Seriously guy go grow some balls and learn how to work out.

  • @peoplerdumb1 i am dead serious i will pay you $200 if you post a video of you doing fran in under 5:00.

  • @peoplerdumb1 my goal isn't to be a fag my goal is to lift heavy shit. the only thing there is to dig about crossfitting is the girls doing it....

  • @Down2Skip and the lifting of heavy shit.

  • Dude in the blue is CHEATING the the speed hurdle jumps LOL

  • Crossfit does not required skill, strategy, and athletic ability. Women can easily adapt to crossfit but could they get on the field with Ray Lewis or Box with Floyd Mayweather I think not. I use women for example because crossfit is not gender specific and anybody can do it with strength progressing over time. So actually its just adaptation to whatever it is that you train for. Crossfit is pure conditioning Athletes that play sports are skilled at what they do, tell these guy to play Pro Ball!

  • I'm a fan of crossfit, but this video although it states the facts is misleading in its presentation

  • no audio?

  • I bet if those pro athletes trained at crossfit for a few weeks they would dominate, yet put the lame crossfitters in their sport and they would fail.

  • Ok, now let the corssfitters box these guys...exactly easy to win at your own game.

  • This is retarded!!!

  • When you make up the rules it's easy to win your own game

  • @MBodyStrength I'm with you on that one, and they didn't train for 4 hrs prior. On a side note finally feel ready to start your dvd mb 45 essentials and once i finish that I'm planning on getting your advanced dvd, just love kettlebells

  • @georgemc26 awesome! let me know if you have any questions. More than happy to help you out.

  • @MBodyStrength thank you very much love the youtube vids always watch them

  • this is retarded. have these guys even done crossfit before? who the cares if you can do something that you've been doing for years better than someone who's never done this shit before?

  • I'm a High performance coach and I agree with most of you. Crossfit is good for making you look good and being a really good Crossfiter but ask any Olympic lifting coach, Sprint coach, or any sports performance coach in the world and they will tell you that crossfit will not get you to your optimal speed or performance. One type of training DOES NOT forge Elite Athletes. Lets See a Crossfitter at the same body weight compete in any Professional sports or athletic event and see how they do. Hmmmm

  • I'd like to see these two crossfitters get into the ring with one of those two boxers. Yeah right.

  • simple question how does this workout make them better BOXERS? answer: it doesnt

  • Did the crossfitters do the 4 hour previous workout?

  • @failingcargo the crossfitters at the games actually do 2 sometimes 3 workouts a day...

  • @failingcargo No because they do 4 hours of work in 45 minutes.

  • @btownshreds1 How does what you said make any sense?

  • @failingcargo unlikely. crossfitters are a new level of doucheness if you ask me

  • its a sport that uses aspects of other sports much like a rugby player could play football pretty good a cross fiter can lift weights pretty good ...and you have your exeption to the rules people who have back grounds in powerlifting and can lift heavy weight extreamly well but chose to do cross fit ....so every one stop fighting .... i hate cross fit just as much as the next powerlifter but to each his own

  • Cross fit is obviously hard and ridiculously taxing on the body but...who gives a shit? Let people workout how they want and let them feel however they want to about how good of shape they're in but when it comes down to it, none of it is worth sounding like idiots bashing one side or the other on a simple tube video

  • your cross fitters are soooo fucking lame. I agree with Atlass Durus. Every form of exercise is specific. you want to improve your pullups, you do pullups. you want to train for fighting, you fight. period. Ask any person with a kinesiology background if c.f is 'good' for anyone and they'd say no. its a total misconception and people with out any background would be 'sold' on such malarky.

  • Put the crossfitters in a Heavyweight fight and they'd get smashed. Bit of a stupid comparison

  • @Hagges357 you're retarded. They're talking about fitness level, not fighting in a bout. Dumbass.

  • @boommoobable Wow, you obviously don't understand sarcasm. So, who's the retarded one really. Crossfitters don't seem to train to think, but at least you can pick up kettleballs. Well done you

  • @Hagges357 K?

  • @boommoobable My point exactly

  • @Hagges357 It has nothing to do with fighting butt-fucker

  • @boommoobable The video shows a heavyweight boxer trying the crossfit routine and failing to do it as quickly as the crossfitters. So this video is trying to show that even heavyweight boxers aren't as tough as crossfitter's. However, if you reverse the roles and put the crossfitters into a heavyweight boxers routine, they will fail.

Do you understand now? It doesn't work both ways. I myself am a crossfitter but you my friend makes us look like real fucking retards

  • @Hagges357 They're saying that even SOME top athletes aren't as conditioned as SOME Crossfitters. In boxing conditioning can make or break you. It's a comparison. Nothing to do with roles. And I ain't your friend or a Crossfitter. And your ability to not use English properly makes English-speakers look like fucking retards.

  • @boommoobable That's very interesting my good friend, would you care to point out where I have misused the English language. That would very kind of you old buddy, old pal

  • @Hagges357 "I myself am a crossfitter but you my friend makes us look like real fucking retards" Makes us. It should be make us.

  • @boommoobable Congratulations. Do you feel all grown up and intelligent now?

  • @boommoobable

Most top athletes have been training their sport for 1 or more decades, some of the best crossfitters have been doing crossfit for few years.

If you take a crossfitter and break down his performance and look at his best deadlift, best 400m run, best 5km run and best vertical jump you often see a pretty average athlete. I am sure that many NBA players can run faster and longer, jump farther and lift more weight than most crossfitters but they still loose to them in CF

  • I have a better idea. Let's get an Elite CrossFitter to compete with an Elite Olympic lifter and compete in the sport of Weightlifitng in a small meet. Let's see who will win. Hmmmmm.

  • @captainjosue You're retarded. That's strength, not fitness.

  • @boommoobable It's not just strength my friend. It's fitness. Why? Because the sport of Weightlifting exceeds levels of fitness in several parameters: obviously strength, power, muscular endurance, low body fat, tons of flexibility, not much cardiovascular work but it's more than just strength. It can be fitness and those who practice exceed normal levels of fitness.

  • @captainjosue I was trolling, but yeah, strength has some to do with fitness, but if all you do is strength, you're not going to be as fit as people who do cardio too, but that's obvious lol.

  • @boommoobable It's all good.

  • @boommoobable These people ranting negatively about crossfit obviously dont understand what fitness is about. Its about not sacrificing one component of fitness for another.

  • if you are a male doing crossfit only, you are a phaggot

  • I'm a 15 year old hockey player and our off-ice practice is more intense than this. And what the hell is a thruster? It's called a power-push. And burpees? Squat-thrusts. Think cross fit or whatever the hell its called try tough? try doing all that after hockey practice TWICE.

  • Athlete- a person who is skilled or trained in exercises, sports, or games requiring physical strength, agaility, and stamina.

Specialist- one who specialized in a particular occupation, practice, or branch of learning.

You're a specialist, if you don't believe me, come do crossfit. To be fair, YES crossfitters should do a specialist's workout; however, in the interest of TRUE FAIRNESS, let's have ALL specialists there- swimmers, weightlifters, runners etc-oh wait, that IS crossfit.

  • I don't see anything wrong with Crossfit, but you can not compare two sports. To make this test fair, the crossfitters should go play a game of football four hours after thier workout.

  • Not only is it a great sport but the community is great, the people make the sport not the other way around.

  • Crossfit is getting bigger and bigger every year and more and more people are competing to see who the fittest person on the planet is. It is a world wide competition. The girl who won this year was from Iceland. The only girls i know who can power clean 235 and run a 5-6 min mile are Crossfitters. I played Soccer for 7 years and man could i run up and down a field and kick a ball.....wooohooo......but i couldnt deadlift 450 pounds or do 100 pullups then.

  • @NuggaStan you can't do 100 pullups now either.

  • She did it in 3 hours and 20 minutes thats like a 7.9 mph pace!!! We run, jump, and do Olympic lifting, our coach at the gym got invited to the USA weightlifting competition in Denver and placed 8th overall. Just a Crossfitter and he cleans 365 and snatches 270!!! Did i mention he only weighs 174? Nobody is saying sport athletes aren't fit but give credit where its due. And Crossfit is a sport now Reebok sponsored the Crossfit games this year and it was telecast on ESPN.

  • I am almost 40 and before being attached to a Seal Team had no idea what Crossfit was all about, i just watched them doing it and was like wow thats pretty cool so i tried it. I thought i was in great shape before, boy was i wrong. In 2 years the changes are amazing and i am in the best shape of my life. We have a girl in our gym that just ran a marathon for the first time in her life, she did no extra training for this just Crossfit, she wanted to see how she would do.

  • The proof is there, i go to 2 gyms, a "Globo gym" and a Crossfit gym. The differences are very very clear.....everyone thats joins Crossfit within 3-4 months has drastic increases in strength and stamina, where the same people i have seen working out at the other gym for 6 years hardly have any changes.

  • NO it doesnt mean they can shoot hoops as well or throw a football as well these are learned and practiced skills and have nothing to do with the athlete themselves, you can teach a chimp to throw a football well. The military Special Forces guys, Seals, Recon all these guys do some form of Crossfit.

  • Do all of you idiots argue just for arguments sake? Im sure any top tier Crossfit athlete could go to a basketball camp and would do just as good on any workout as the basketball guys and so on with any sport. Thats the point of Crossfit to be god at everything.

  • crossfit is good for the average joe who wants to be ok at everything but shit for athletes who have specific goals which differ for each sport. So what a HW boxer cant do as many pull ups and front squats in the time it takes a 165lb joe to do, put them in the ring and see who comes off better??

  • this is ridiculous—stupid test

  • lol. Bogus test is bogus. Perhaps do it again when they are completely fresh?

  • ya people need to stop comparing crossfit to a sport, our whole goal is to be good at everything, not great at one thing, the perfect example is a good cf athlete should be able to enter a triathlon, marathon, olympic lifting competition, power lifting competition, mud runner, military course, swimming, yoga and everything in the middle, and not place last, that's a pretty outstanding accomplishment if you ask me

  • @trebek321 I totally agree with you. I have been going to crossfit and i feel like it makes me well-rounded:-)

  • The video's subtitles are a little bais, but at least he/she was honest about it. The athletes are definitely more in shape if they did 4 hours of training before this. Crossfit usually do exhausting warmups before the workouts too though, and by no means are these two crossfiter's the best CF athletes I've seen. I personally don't think a sport or workout is better than another though, but crossfit HaS infact made plenty of people very very 'Fit'

  • Cross fit is good but no way are those two cross fit individuals stronger then the two athletes
